Boom was the song that got me on the NCT Dream train, but I completely agree that this song is so amazing for Dream. Right up there with Kick It. What I love about Riding is that it is SUCH an NCT song, with such an NCT vibe, and all the units truly stay with the sound of the group, be it WayV, Dreamies, or 127. The entire album is 🔥🔥🔥🔥 I expect nothing less.
Someone said that what defines NCT dream is that they have classic "boy group" concept as compared to NCT 127 and i think that's a really good way to put it. 127 does more edgy experimental stuff while Dream is smoother like you said

(Some of my favs include Stronger, 119, Dunk Shot yabalabahiyahshshs, Drippin' and the entire Reload album lol) But honestly all the b-sides are on par with each other. It's just in their earlier albums, as you said, sounded a little softer round the edges so they had a lot of laid back tracks. But they started sounding a little edgier when they 'grew up' with We Go Up album lol drippin marked the beginning of dreamies' h0e era 😂😂
WHAT ABOUT HAECHAN? Everyone is Mark, Mark,Mark. HAECHAN has 3 comebacks in 3 months. He constantly goes between Dream and 127 yet gets no credit. His vocals are beyond amazing and he makes any dance look effortless. Dream is finally able to show the world how amazing they are. Also check out Quiet Down. It's almost better than RIDIN.
i love Mark, and i know he works really hard, but Haechan works even more than him these days and he doesn't get enough credit for it (though it seems like he takes the workload quite well, somehow he has more energy than anyone else in the group)
