I got to see them in Newark and I cried the entire time they did Hello Future it was so beautiful and emotional for me. I still cant believe I got to see them and that song live! I'll preface this by saying I don't listen to a lot of boy groups, but I don't remember the last time I've heard such a melody-focused non-ballad single. This song is genuinely beautiful!
if you're interested in giving nct dream a whirl, they do have a ton of very melodic non-ballad tracks!! they generally have a bright youthful sound, and their vocal line (chenle, haechan & renjun) are very strong so their discography is packed with great songs that aren't the typical 4th gen sound (and they're technically 3rd gen as they debuted back in 2016). my recommendations for melodic songs are: best friend ever (their japanese debut single, it's a banger), walk with you & take my breath (from their special winter album!), better than gold, DIVE INTO YOU, and ANL!
If you'll watch the recording video of this song (behind the scene footage), you'll see how the boys had the hard time singing this song because it's mostly high 🤣 Chenle said it's the hardest song he has ever sung. They really love this song.

broken melodies is one of those songs that has only gotten better the more i listen to it, and i can see it being one that really ages well it's up there as one of my favorite nct dream songs, sitting right next to hello future and i don't see either of these songs leaving my top two anytime soon, both songs hit me in the same way and both are songs that i constantly find myself going back to whenever need them

you need to see NCT dream on killing voice too😭Haechan was just flexing on there SO HARD! he was just going crazy with those vocals, for 20+ minutes he never stopped singing every choirs plus hitting adlibs and high notes! Really his vocals have never sounded STRONGER and BETTER! Boy has some of the best chest voice belts in NCT and you could HEAR it loud and clear with him overpowering every other voice in the chorus on killing voice
Oh gosh yes! His voice reminded me of Chen from EXO who's voice usually overpowers everyone so he tends to get away from the microphone. Whenever Haechan sang it just added this extra oomph to their songs, and Chenle with the harmony while the others were singing? I keep watching that video over and over, I loved it so much.

This song was an instant favourite when I first heard it. It's kind of familiar and nostalgic in a way, and maybe that's partially because I don't think it necessarily break the mold in any way, however I feel like it just executes this classic upbeat pop sound to complete perfection.
I fell in love with Jisung's voice, his voice is so full of potential that I hope it can be shown more often because it is really beautiful TT TT. Jeno impressed me too, his voice has really improved a lot and he sounds very, very good. As for our main vocalists and rappers, they all did AMAZING, but Chenle's high notes and ad-libs drove me crazy !!!
