As somewhat of a slug connoisseur who was levitating over the course of this video, I must say that sticking with one slug is super important. I fully renounced pellets and converted to slugs about halfway through last season and I have definitely felt improvement doing these things.
No wonder you had the power to levitate through the video’s duration. New converts can only manage a few minutes at a time 😕

@@Gjerda I was wondering, if I use a legendary slug, is there any reason not to use an exotic Handcannon like ace? I remember you making a Fatebringer video. And you mentioned in air accuracy, I tend to use stompees with hunter and was wondering if that means I shouldn’t use an exotic Handcannon. Like my question is essentially, is there a point to using stompees with ace of spades?

I loved "So you want to be a slug shotgun god…". I haven't been able to update you in regards to my sons and their current court case. We are currently on the run. I bought an old RV from a gentleman named Carmine. We are in a mountainous region with access to fresh water and vending machines (important). I love my sons very much. I see a common mistake amongst streamers saying that pellet spread shots are called “buckshot” but actually you don’t hunt a deer with a pellet spread you hunt with a rifled slug shot. Pellets are actually for hunting birds, so we should start calling them dreg shot

I think the confusion with the 80 range cap thing is that it doesn't stop at 80 range, but rather it's benefits fall off dramatically and a lot of people kind of misinterpreted that. It's very similar to how you want 68 stability on a 140 hand cannon but any more isn't really worth it, which I believe you talked about in one of your previous videos. You still get the benefit from the stat further, but after that point the value of investing in that stat significantly falls off. Loved the vid as always!

iirc it was also found a good while ago that slugs actually stopped increasing in fall off distance past 65 range, and that became such a rule of thumb that the telephone game just kinda did its thing and now we got a whole lot of warped misinformation floating around

ALSO: the 80 range cap thing: above 80 range provides diminishing returns on OHK range and damage. Get up to at least 80 range and you’ll be set, basically, but going further helps and feels GREAT imo. Opening Shot breaks all these rules and just feels like chappy and it’s very nice.

I’ve been using slugs from forsaken just for fun then I became so committed to them for almost 4 years of using them
I mained good bone structure before I got the chaperone (it rolled with QuickDraw and Snapshot) and to this day it would pop it out of my vault from time to time if I’m bored with chaperone and I always forget how disgusting it is because of it’s snappiness. Though sunset, I never regretted using it.
Also, I used the heritage and I LOVE IT!
Combining with vex helps it so well since I can handle close - far ranges

I have been using a heritage when I use energy primaries, ranging from Palindrome to Borrowed Time, and its done amazing for me. Planning on farming out a Sojourner's/Bonechiller for pairing with Thorn.

Having used slugs for well over a year now I can confirm that sticking with one or 2 is very important I personally use chaperone and first in last out with slide and opening shot. I also find that battler is a nasty combo and it gets you that long range but it’s hipfire capabilities allow for easy cleanups at close ranges too. It’s good to see a video explaining what I’ve been trying to tell my clan mates for years

I used a sojourner's tale for 2 months, running bottom tree striker. mostly bodyshotting and finishing up with a melee, super nutty playstile, but it worked.

Edit: The best slug I've used was gnora's axe. That thing was so damn good once you mastered it. I had mine with hammer forge, accurized rounds, auto loading holster(underrated crucible perk imo), and opening shit. That thing literally carried me for so long. Unfortunately i deleted it by accident years ago. I miss it so much.

Although as a primary focused gamer I think lightweight shotguns cater to my play style a little better. Quick defensive snappy shots where I can quickly swap back to my primary is a little more advantageous to me.

Got the curated roll for blasphemer (accurized, Quickdraw, opening shot and range mw basically making it legendary chaperone) around 5 months ago and had kept it in my vault for a while, then gave it a try after 2 months and instantly fell in love. Never took it off since and probably never will. 💀

Me a slugshotgun main from that start to every ape i killed: they aways run for me, to learn ir to die.
Now for real, I always hated pelot shoguns and to counter then i start to use slugs and the first one that i master was first in last out and that slug being that one with the lowest aim assist helped me a lot because i now dont have any problem using any slug, and btw i dont think you need that mutch aim assist, if you train with low aim assist you get good.

I'd say that Heritage is the best Legendary in AA, Range, and Handling for being a consistent shotgun. BUT Blasphemer allows some CREATIVE builds. With Swashbuckler x5 with something like Skullfort, you can run lobbies with a OHKO body slug just with the 33% boost of Swash x5.
I remember I played a rumble match in D1 just using a shotgun and sliding around everywhere. Didn't realize the match was over because I won, and got hate messages afterwards.

Ohhh haha well hey, a big part of that could be because of stasis. But hang in there, your practice is still super valuable! Slugs are great. I think they need room to shine and the ability heavy sandbox sometimes makes that difficult, but I believe in you.

Controller Player: My heritage roll that I have stapled to my kinetic slot is: Fluted Barrel or Full Bore, Accurized Rounds, SlideShot, Snapshot Sights and Handling MW. Been pairing it with Adept Palindrome, Graviton Lance, or Polaris Lance. 3 days in and already been getting much better. Thank you. Any recommendations would be great as well. :)))

As a new member to the cult of Slug Shotguns. I worry for our lord and savior Chaperone. As it was mentioned at the tail end of a recent TWAB by the Overlords. I have been trying to stray away from it in the hopes that it is left alone. I have currently replaced it with an "OK" roll of the prince FILO (Hammer-forged, Assault-mag, Hip-fire and Opening shot) and I am not quite sure I am sold on it yet. This Disciple wishes there were more slug shotgun's, or at the very least easier to farm (Working on a Sojurn but no luck so far) I prefer to pair with Ace since I have failed to find a decent energy HC yet.
You are heard, disciple, and the church also fears this impending doom. May the bungiegod grant mercy to our divine slugs and not smack chaperone too hard.
