- The new slug shotgun Fortissimo-11 is absolutely wonderful. It's right on par with heritage, and heritage is on par with chaperone, so you don't want to overlook this thing. Gjerda, since you're so detailed and thoughtful in all of your content. Would you maybe do a detailed video on how you power level grind especially how you min max using comp?
Update! Adagio will now add only +20% damage for Shotguns rather than +30%
I really wish we could craft this one. I think realistically I’ll never run enough strikes to get a good roll given the perk pool. Looks really nice though!
It would still hit my main gripe with weapon crafting as is: you have to pay for perks even after you unlock then, which discourages trying new perks and encourages vault hoarding. The low mat caps also encourage vault hoarding. Hope for the future I suppose!

I wouldn't give up patty, I got this on my first drop... hammer forged, accurized, subsistence, opening shot and a range MW. Probably not a god roll but good enough for me. Never know, next drop could be the one!

Man I love this slug. Got a max handling roll and a consistency roll and i love both of them. I could never get my hands on a pvp roll of heritage, so this slug makes me very happy. Slugs with void 3.0 hunter are extremely powerful and I will be using a fortissimo when trials comes around in a couple of weeks.
God Roll is more of a catch-all. Definitely at the end of the day personal preference is key but there are instances were certain perks perform better than others.
It's funny, when i saw fortissimo, my first thought was, "Oh Gjerda is going to love this one." :)

I really fell in love with slugs when a MW range Gunorra's Axe (swash, full auto, hammer forge) dropped from IB. Nothing has felt as good since. Except a really excellent fortissimo just dropped for me: MW range, accurized rounds, hammer forged AND fluted, opening shot, and feeding frenzy. It brings back all those feels 😍

As a player with 1300+ kills on my curated roll Blasphemer, it brings a tear to my eye to see I’m cut from the same fabric as fellow players that were enthused by an expanded loot pool with another precision slug with even more variety. Unfortunately, said options in the energy slot being scarce is I dare say an understatement. Hoping the upcoming raid/any new event will bless us with one that I can finally pair with old reliable (my trusty Dire Promise)…

I just got a 4/5 roll today. I've never liked (or to be fair, genuinely tried) slugs. It's been less than a day and I'm now loving slugs.
The confidence boost I get from the "1 shot 1 kill" is huge. I like sniping and with a slug I can snipe in the fray and feel on top of the world.

My second most used energy of all time for pvp is a hammer forged, light mag, hipfire, opening shot, range mw FILO. So I'm really sad this thing doesn't have hipfire. But I did get a demo+junkie roll the other day that I'm excited to try
I got arrowhead/corkscrew, accurized, and steady hands, opening shot with a sad stability masterwork on one of my first strikes of the season. Was super stoked on it, really been trying to improve with slugs.
3:03 -Straight facts my dude; part of the beauty of having a perk 'pool' is that people should be able to experiment and find a roll that suits THEM. Some rolls can be inherently good or bad, but at the end if the day it all comes down to user preference.
Wow I just found a Fortissimo with Wellspring and Demolistionist together. I've been trying to find that on an Ogma, and I don't know how helpful that'll be on a special weapon without infinite ammo, but there's ONE massive energy combo found. Neat.

started playing vanguard strikes to grind out xur cipher quest, then a fortissimo dropped with arrowhead, assault mag, threat detector and opening shot. god i love it.

I just got one with hammer forge, tact mag, demo, osmosis, and reload speed mw. Osmosis being my favorite perk in the game and with arc 3.0 around the corner i frickin love this thing

I got a steady hand and moving target roll with barrel shroud and handling masterwork. Really good handling and moving target helps a lot but I really need one with opening shot. I’m happy this is in kinetic slot so I can pair with gridskipper

I got very lucky with my roll. With Quick Charge it has 99 handling, I’ve got assault mag for slightly faster follow up shots, Opening Shot brings it to 94 range and Pulse Monitor will reload it for me when I take damage so it’s less down time. It’s perk for perk what I wanted, wouldn’t change a thing on it. Good video for a good gun. Finally put my Blasphemer in the vault for retirement.

You're ideal roll is perfect. I would kill for max range demo/ele cap for my flux hunter build. Frenzy is looking pretty appealing, too.

My 2nd drop was pretty serviceable roll. Full bore/accurized/stability/perpmotion/vorpal. Not a bad slug, but feels way different than my beloved FILO.

I got a really decent roll of this shotgun and have been loving it ever since.
I've got a Hammer Forged, Accurized, Surplus, Adagio and Handling Masterwork monster and yes Adagio does 1hko except for the very rare titan running insanely high resilience.
The amazing part imo is that Fortissimo-11 with the Handling MW reaches 69 Handling (nice) and pairing this with Quick Charge and Surplus you basically have a 100 handling Shotgun all times (69 + 25 = 94) since you'll only ever need 1 ability charged for it.
Got one with corkscrew, assault mag, perp motion, opening shot, and range mw... now if only I was good with slugs... guess I gotta practice.

I've never had any issue landing a headshot in the air with precision frame weapons, HC's and slugs specifically. Has any testing been done on this? I always considered precision frames to have Icarus grip intrinsically.

I did not get the greatest roll for barrel but got the 70 rpm mag with surplus and elm capacitor. I suck with slugs but it made things so easy.

The phenomenon at 2:25 is your first person HUD and POV moving downward to tell you that you hit the floor too hard. However the downward movement of your cursor/crosshairs inaccurately represents your bullets' paths during this time. The bullets/bolts/arrows/missiles you fire during this time will fire as if you were still aiming where you were before your legs broke. Projectile flight path is unchanged from before you hit the ground but your first person perspective is altered creating a sort of flinch effect detached from your actual projectile flight path. I made a video about it with repeatable results.

Just got a extended barrel, accurized rounds, substinance, opening shot roll with a range masterwork!! It has 92 range
Big fan of ur shotgun analysis videos. Not sure if tested/proven but from what I know slug shotguns have a max one hit kill range of 10m(70 range and up) and opening shot pushes that range to 11m. Would 100 range shotgun get you that extra 1m? Big fan once again and thank you for the videos
I have a surplus frenzy roll and when i pair it with gemini jesters it allows me to keep frenzy up and get obsured kills
The first one that dropped for me came with :
Accurized, moving target, Demolitionist, plus range masterwork. It has 83 range and is very good in pvp

Finally got one with Opening Shot today. No TD, but 74 Handling since I got Fluted Barrel, and 74 Range. Good enough for now, considering how ridiculous the perk pool is on it.

Got a threat detector vorpal roll and it's nasty. It reminds me of and makes me miss my gunora's(forget how it's spelled) axe. There's something about suros slugs that just feel so good compared to others imo.
Edit: I agree about the godroll thing. There's not just one but mutiple godrolls for guns. In pvp even rolls others might think are bad could still be a godroll to you if you like the combo. For example i love subsistence rampage on handcannons when others say it's bad for pvp.

Thanks! And yeah lower FOV can sometimes make aiming at far-off targets easier because they’re bigger. But I personally always have my FOV at 105 which is max just because I like the look

I am only going to use elemental capacitor once arc 3.0 comes out because arc subclasses at least on hunter in my opinion pales in comparison to void 3.0 right now.
The one I got has threat detector, elemental capacitor with accurized rounds, hammer forged and a range masterwork. Just got it today and playing on bottom tree arc titan with insurmountable it's really scary.

I have 2 rolls that both play differently. One is Demo + Osmosis for some cool stuff like activating Precious Scars and the other is Threat Detector + Elemental Capacitor. Overall, it feels good but not like Heritage lol
i've got a subsistence/opening shot i'm using for pvp purely bc of the latter and a threat detector/focused fury that's pretty fun for pve damage
prefer the clean FILO-type sight over the heritage tho (also because i haven't gotten a good roll of it)
I have a max range Fortissimo that has opening shot and surplus but to me the curated blasphemer just feels better plus with quikdraw it's real snappy.
I got one on my first strike in WQ: hammerforged rifling / flared magwell / steady hands / opening shot with a range mw. I pair it with a quickdraw pali and dragons shadow, it feels very nice

@@Gjerda Hey Gjerda, I dropped another roll with Smallbore, accurized rounds, threat detector, moving target and handling mw.. it sits at 80 range and 70 handling.. how would you rate it over my previous roll with steady hands and opening shot? Isnt 80 range a little bit low for a slug or the consistency of threat detector and moving target would make up for the range loss? I'd like to have your opinion
I would say you really want that 100 range no matter what so maybe the opening shot roll is better? Threat detector is quite nice to boost that new one’s handling but I think range is more important since handling is achievable through many ways these days

I got another one with smallbore / accurized / perpetual motion / elemental capacitor and range mw, on an arc subclass its at 100 handling with 91 range.. it feels amazing, but I dont like being stuck on arc subclass so I keep farming
I have one wsith Fluted, tac mag, perpetual motion, and opening shot with a handling MW and it is great. still can ohko at 11ms (tested in private lobby). I used to use heritage a lot but that didn't have great perks but did have moving target so I am happy for a new option in primary slot. was never into the blasphemers gun design it always threw me off
i'd like to put in a word for unrelenting
my wish-roll would be:
fluted - accurized - unrelenting / demo - OS - range mw
while demo is great overall I think unrelenting suits a shotgun more as you quite often run into more than just one enemy within 8s and the perk combos great with the origin trait giving you both hp which alongside devour x the 3.0 fragement that starts regen after melee kill youre a clutch machine :3

I think bungie said that vanguard weapons would get the focus weapon treatment like gambit currently has right now in the next season. I'd personally want to get Perpetural Motion and Opening shot for pvp and Fourth times the charm and Focused Fury for Pve.

Almost the same. I still have my axe bc I can't part with it. But a "god roll" fortissimo dropped for me and it feels REALLY good
ive been hoarding my drops while i farm vanguard and ended up with 16 fortissimo's and i got one with opening shot, surplus and icarus grip

Where is the “quick charge grants +25 handling” claim coming from? I’ve seen loads of tests and I can’t seem to verify it at all. Some people claim it’s +20 handling, some people say since QC still works when handling is maxed that it’s just an animation speed booster. Or are you just saying that having QC is approximately the same improvement that +25 handling would bring?
Unrelenting wellspring vanguard is fire. You can constantly get health, and you contstantly get your gamblers dodge back to reload from all the ammo you get. Get my roll. You will love it in pvp.
