Not worth the pain for an average consumer...if something goes wrong and the phone is bricked your warranty voids too..better to wait until beta version comes via OTA
Yeah, but the average consumer doesn't care about updates and only update when the phone forces them to, so i doubt they'd search/follow this tutorial. This is for advanced users that know what they're doing, what are the risks and are willing to do it.
How about sideloading beta 3 verison ? It has only 800 mb of file size. But the beta 1 was more than 2 gb. Is it possible to do so ? Or can we just sideload beta 1 only ? I was not able to upgrade beta version via OTA .

It doesn't work for Canada models (SM-918W). Tried this a few weeks ago. It always boot to download mode so I had to flash SM 918W firmware.
but if we do a reboot, how can we not lose our data, I would like to do it but I am not convinced

No...u will have to manually flash updates. If u want OTA u will have to flash the stable build when its released
