Don't listen to the people saying there are upsetting changes. All changes made are actually improving the story and are made by and with the author Rick Riordan's approval.
no, i get that every little or not change can be upsetting for a true book fan, been there, done that! 😅
but the fact that Rick is a part of this show makes me feel…secure?
@@reactswithria I'm also a long time book fan and in my opinion it's okay to be upset but to go as far as to act as if it's the worst adaptation ever and claim that the movies were better is another. That's just straight up lie. And there are a lot of people saying that, even bringing their sentiment in the actress/actors' IG accs where they can definitely see it. They're so nasty.

@@reactswithria yeah. The author himself had to get involved to stop a bunch of racist comments on Annabeth's actress Leah Jefferies' socials, I'm pretty sure they even got her insta banned. But he had to step in and say "No, she got the role because she has the talent and the personality of Annabeth" and had to comfort Leah by telling her "No matter what others might say to you, remember I chose you."
The sheer lowness some "fans" have gotten because "nOt My AnNaBeTh" is ridiculous, and they should be ashamed for wasting oxygen and social media space, and should be ashamed they call themselves fans of Percy Jackson.
And they must feel stupid considering she won an award for her performance as Annabeth.
I loved Medusa, she was the highlight of the episode. I am really enjoying the chemistry between the three main characters because everything feels effortless.

I will say I am really glad that they DID go with actual kids for this series, because it shows that they are committed to showing the characters grow which is part of the appeal. The cast of the movie was pretty good, but because they were much older the story was just different. It worked as a standalone, but wouldn't have worked as a series because the kids were already grown up. With these kids, they are already acting really well as the characters so we are going to enjoy watching them grow over the series. Its a lot of responsibility for children, but they will grow into it. I'm very optimistic about season 2 and beyond!

@@reactswithriai always say there’s time to learn Greek mythology. Got lucky in elementary school and, had the sweetest teacher she used action figures to explain myths!! go for it and find a book, I love Circe by Madeline Miller. 📖
