i have to say that i do believe some people were born to be fat because they look happy and are glowing when they have extra fat vs skinny. take adele for example, i thought her heavier days gave us the best of her as opposed to her being skinny.
I lost 27 lbs in the span of a year and my face is wrecked. Saggy skin causing premature jowls and wrinkles and an overall downturned, “frowny” look is what it left me with. Hollow in the face now and I would gain every pound back if I could afford to just to have my fuller, plumper face back.
14:19 The truth is that all of these people, and locations have been affected by colonialism or imperialism, and later by european media, and beauty standards. It doesn't matter which side of the globe you're on at this point. Clearly looking at West African art prior to european interference, the presentation of black features was valued. I'd have to look into Asian countries to see if this is true for them. I can say that native south eastern asians have features that resemble black features, and a few original populations of these people are black. Something happened along the way of time.
Minor correction: before settlement by austronesian speaking peoples southeast asia was inhabited by papuans or negritos. Despite their phenotypical similiarities to subsaharan africans they are genetically distinct
@@quadeevans6484 That’s the dumbest statement possible. Here’s where you’re misinformed: Africa has the largest genetic variation of people on any continent (and they’re all black people). All other ethnicities across the globe derived from *few* Africans that migrated. On the continent of Africa you will find black people that do not share close genetic affinity. So no, Pau Pau new Guineans are not just physically similar to “sub Saharan Africans.” They are as black as “sub Saharan Africans”, and as black as they’ve always been from the moment that they left the continent some 70k years ago. Phenotype and genetics are not the same. If any group remains isolated for millennia then they develop distinct genetics and that would indeed be dissimilar to other ethnicities. Btw early south East Asians were actually aboriginal.

I actually feel better about myself now. I have a “straight” profile, but I always thought it was bad, cause I have small features and larger cheeks. I think I just need to define the “sides” (?) of my jaw a little more and I’ll be good haha
this is surprising because just before you talked about the results, I thought that when comparing extreme features I would prefer a concave male face over a convex male face and a concave female face over a convex female face
I know you will never do this, but a video about why Hayley Williams from Paramore is beautiful would be so cool, specially if it focused on her younger self, she has the best side profile i have ever seen in a woman, the best jaw, and a very cute face. Not really. If it was then he would never had won the sexiest man award. Its true for Jeremy Meeks too. Its just that most of us for some reason we find white boy features more attractive

I think the straight profile is most desired but I belive it leads to some of the most plain faces...which can be why it is actually prefered since average faces are deemed more attractive. However I do feel like convex faces have the ability to age better because of the weak chin= giving off a more childlike look. Examples of this would be a lot of asian bone structures like those of BTS
The problem with weak chin and aging is that when you age your chin tends to get even weaker and if you didn't have much to begin with it can turn out pretty bad. No hate, I have a weak chin myself.
Staying lean is very important. That means being healthy and happy. Not too much body fat or very little body fat. I believe 20% body fat is good average for most.
@@MrEysox so ıt's the most important thing in modeling throughout the history. A lean face shows the skull structure, high cheekbones, browbones, jawline, gonial angle, mandibular bone but if you have them. If your skull structure doesn't have some aesthetic details, it won't work by all means.

Maybe you're like me. I seem to have just a little bit of a convex face, but i realize that since my chin protrudes a little bit, there's this little vally in between my upper lip and my chin (pushing the lower the lower lip inwards a little). I can imagine filling in that area + a little in my lower lip and I could look straight. I think this might be a mild version of a convex-concave type.
Really interesting video. I think the preferences of Black Americans might be skewed to fit closer to those of White Americans than they would otherwise be, due to proximity and exposure as well as societal pressures to conform to the beauty standards most visible in the media (though I'm sure that's slowly changing).
how is the side profile more important than front? there are people with good side profiles and bad fronts (nothing too special overall), and viceversa, idk why do you say that, its just wrong, look at james dean side profile and front, that guy wasnt very good looking (kind of narrow) but his profile was gorgeous
Proportion. I don't find him attractive. Because it is almost unreal how perfect his facial proportions are. And that's the exact same reason why I would say most people DO find him attractive. He has an objectively beautiful face.
Facial harmony, due to good proportions, facial ratios, good skin, contrasting features (dark hair and light skin) and a few other reasons I must’ve forgot to mention.

Can you do one on teeth and smiles? Im so curious about this as some people get 'perfect' teeth done but it really doesnt suit their face. What determines what would?
There is something called the ( Smile Arc Technique) used by some orthodontists, in which the arc of the upper teeth harmonizes with the arc of lower Lip, which gives the person a more attractive smile & the teeth looks well suited for the face & a natural smile look. Some ppl have straight smile arc but it doesnt harmonize with the curve of lower lip so even if their teeth is straight it doesn't look suited on the face and some ppl have curved smile arc, their teeth harmonizes with the lower lip and hence their smile & teeth suit best on their face. I hope my answer helped a little. Have a good day.

I personally don't like my side profile, but I can't say it distresses me. I have a very flat side profile. My nose doesn't stick out a ton, and my chin and forehead are in a line, so it has a flat look. I do think my 3/4 profile it lit though. Something about my face looks really good from that 3/4 perspective, I think it's because my jaw angle, and jaw to chin width is more heart-like and looks very feminine.
I’m insecure about my facial asymmetry (tilted nose and weak chin). But somehow I’ve had quite a number of attractive strangers and friends shown interest in me. I’m mixed-race, but I’m not sure if that’s the reason (?) Im currently working on myself: mewing, posture and confidence. But my insecurities about my side profile still hinders me from engaging with those people 😅
Women are far more able to pull off the recessed chin/jaw look than men are. Women find attraction in a man's facial bone structure more than men find attraction in a woman's facial bone structure. Men also find attraction in a woman's body(chest, hips, butt, thighs) hence why women spend large amounts of money enhancing those areas. Male facial plastic surgery has more than doubled since the rise in online dating as they've come to realize that women care far more about the face than men.

As an artist, having a bit of fat is ok as it is normal, but if it's too much my unpopular opinion would be stated.
It depends to the individual in general
i have to say that i do believe some people were born to be fat because they look happy and are glowing when they have extra fat vs skinny. take adele for example, i thought her heavier days gave us the best of her as opposed to her being skinny.
@@coagulatedsalts4711 no one is born to be unhealthy
A little bit of fat on the face is okay and can keep you looking youthful, but not too much!
Something happened along the way of time.
east asians used to value east asian features too before colonization

Yes I have that lol. If I would get the surgery I might look better, but definitely older!

I seem to have just a little bit of a convex face, but i realize that since my chin protrudes a little bit, there's this little vally in between my upper lip and my chin (pushing the lower the lower lip inwards a little).
