Setthorns Camping in the Forest site tour

Setthorns Camping in the Forest site situated in the beautiful surroundings of the New Forest between Brockenhurst & Sway.
This site is back to the basics, there’s electric hook up, access to drinking water and a Elsan point and the select pitches which is what we stayed on have a bench but that’s it. There isn’t any toilets or showers so you are required to bring your own chemical toilet and if Camping a shower tent nor is there any play park but that doesn’t matter when the kids have a massive forest to play in.
At the entrance to the site is a reception with a few bare minimum food items such as milk and butter, the wardens were friendly and helpful. If your a member of the Camping and caravan club you will receive a discount when booking.
The site is very quiet due to the pitches being situated well off the road, Deer are commonly seen daily strolling through the pitches as are ponies. Around the site there’s plenty of walking/cycling trails.
Within 10/15 minutes drive you have a large tesco and Waitrose, things todo you have the Beaulieu motor Museum, there’s also a motorcycle museum, you can go for a stroll along the miles of beachesor you can take a short 20 minute drive to the ferry and pop over and do a day trip to the Isle of white.
This really is a beautiful site, don’t let the lack of facilities bother you, I can guarantee the kids will have a amazing time exploring the forest and nearby streams and love watching the endless amounts of wildlife strolling through the site, it’s definitely a site we have enjoyed staying at and would definitely recommend.
