Product description AGV K-3 SV
The AGV K-3 SV is the completely renewed successor to the AGV K-3. It is a helmet of which the design is based on the Pista GP R and Corsa R helmets. When developping this helmet all is taken into consideration, in terms of comfort and safety. It is a sporty affordable helmet that offers a lot of protection and comfort. The helmet comes with well-developed aerodynamics, where the makers have used their experience and knowledge gained during the development of the Pista GP R and the Corsa R. This helmet is perfect for daily road use.
Safety AGV K-3 SV
The helmet shell is made of the strong material polycarbonate. The outer shell comes in 2 sizes. The EPS inner shell comes in 4 different sizes. This ensures perfect fit which contributes to safety. The helmet has a narrow chin shape that easily cuts through the wind and this contributes to the stability of the helmet. The K-3 SV is prepared for a communication system. And comes with a strong, user-friendly Micrometric closure.
Ventilation AGV K-3 SV
The AGV K-3 SV has very efficient ventilation. A maximum amount of air flow is obtained through the strategically placed Top Ventilation. With the 4 air intakes that you can operate while driving and 2 air vents, this helmet is one step ahead of its counterparts the Shark Skwal 2 and the HJC IS-17.
Visor AGV K-3 SV
The AGV K-3 SV comes with a GT 2 anti-scratch visor with pinlock and 100% UV protection. The visor is equipped with the Visor Micro Opening System, this system makes it possible to set the visor ajar without the visor opening completely. The visor is available in two different sizes, making the connection to the helmet optimal. The Extra Quick Release System (EQRS) makes it possible to remove the visor easily and quickly. The k-3 SV also has an integrated sun visor.
Lining AGV K-3 SV
The 3D lining is made of Dry Comfort fabric and is easily removable and washable. The 3D comfortable lining has a perfect fit.

same here. bought this tartaruga as my first full face helmet. sold it last year as i didnt use much of it. using shoei neotec 2 which is much much better helmet than K3SV. but i do agree for newbie, this is a good full face helmet. design is superb price is cheap and its agv brand.

Good review, the Road test is realy helpful
Crashed on this helmet, bike totaled front end was gone. I was knocked the F out, don't even remember hitting the ground shows the helmet's weaker on the sides but no broken bones, had a mild concussion but still alive. Would buy helmet again I mean i crash tested the damn thing
Good to hear that the helmet did it's job. The SHARP testing would also support your conclusion since it showed a bit weaker along the sides there too.

How did you find the K3 SV out on the road?
@@Championhelmets like the review, it's loud but gotta sacrifice for the awesome ventilation. Especially in the hot Cali weather. The Hawks bill spoiler up front is my fave part, along with the speaker cutouts and the multiple design finishes, it's my favorite helmet

Newb rider & this is my 1st helmet!
I could not find the front vent switch to save my life (& was wondering why I was feeling like cooked bacon!) - had no idea it was adjacent to the chin-skirt... Thank You SO MUCH, I was going a bit nuts from the manual diagram, LOL! Great Video! :D
AGV does like to hide the chin vent in there, but it is hard finding it sometimes. What did you think of the results of the road test?

As to your follow up, I appreciate all the thought you put into your road test. I found (for myself) that the incoming noise level was very doable (though I have nothing in way of another helmet to compare). I'm a bit different & look for decent rather than reduced peaceful levels so I can be more aware of what's going on around me til I become more seasoned.
As for no longer feeling of cooked bacon I'm eternally grateful to you, lol.
I do have a rather full head of hair & while I do my best to tame it prior to gearing up, I do believe I'll have to start employing a scarf in order to enjoy the benefits of full air circulation.

I used this helmet for over a month and I have to say the noise is pretty deafening i would get off my bike and my ears will ring for about 10 minutes other than that it's a really good helmet
The noise level of the K3 SV so far seems to be one of the most consistent issues in the helmet, and we also found this to be the case when we took the helmet out on our road test.

@@Championhelmets very comfortable and very stable my head barely moves even when going fast. Visibility is great and I don't sweat because my head stay extremely cool with all those vents
@@josephcarreras7703 In the K3 SV it seems that the excellent ventilation came at the cost of the helmet's noise isolation, though this is often the case with motorcycle helmets.

@@Championhelmets Hopefully you get one soon. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it. I had an RF-1000 for years, and it was fantastic. Went to an RF-1100, and it was a big departure in design from the 1000. I'm not a fan of it. Typical Shoei build quality, and great airflow, but the shape was different from the 1000, so comfort was an issue. Got an RF-1200 recently, and it is much more similar to the 1000, and it seems the 1400 is just a more refined version of that, so I plan to get one. I haven't found anything as quality built, comfortable, and quiet as a Shoei.
I want to see the K5s!

Spot on review. In all honesty, it does not deserve 4 starts as even wearing ear plugs, you'll end up deaf if you travel with it. The dB meter says it all, and my ears as well...
Thanks for the feedback! Besides the clearly loud level of noise shown during our test, this issue has also been one of the most consistent comments we've received from other riders. Hopefully, a subsequent version will addressing the issue.

@@ChampionhelmetsHello, did you also tested decibels with closed vents? I saw the video and all of them were open.
The only problem with this helmet is that it is very bulky. The shell is really big and I felt like I had an alien head when I wore it. I feels like you have a jumbo bowling ball on your head (not because of heaviness but because its oddly large round shape).
It's got a similar shape to a lot of the HJC helmets.. I always found those to look big
@@brianc1481 the RPHA 11 Pro does not. It is amazing. It has that fitted feel similar to the arai helmets. It makes you feel good when you wear it.

Hi, which is better. I have two options. A k3 sv for €150 or k5 s for €200. Is the k5 s worth the extra 50 euros. Is it better overall??

I have the K1 and wear a size small. Will the same size for the K3 SV work, or are there any differences in sizing between the two models?
Between the two models, there should be no differences in sizing. However, it is always a good idea to double check against he size chart, or, if possible, try the helmet on in a local store to make sure that it fits comfortably.

@@Championhelmets it's great! No issues currently in the winter at 30°F or in 90°F last summer, the vents help a ton!

Yes, the K3 SV would also be an excellent entry level helmet since it comes at a decent price, has an internal sun visor, and performs well out on the road. What do you think of the K3 SV?

I just ordered mine and it came in yesterday. Does someone else have the problem that it clacks?
I think it is the red visor releaser at: 3:30
It only makes the sound when the visor is all the way down, and when the red thing isnt under tention.
Did anyone experience the same?
