Quite an impressive review, indeed! One thing I am searching for is a "view angle" as one goes into forward lean. I have two helmets, both with different field of view, but searching specifically for a helmet, I can almost put chin on the tank, and still see enough forward.. cheers

Great work, personally rode with most of the helmets except agv(i don't trust it), and also rode with the Schuberth SR1, excluding the price, one of the best helmets ever, it's so aerodynamically balanced that u forget it's on u'r nugget !
Thanks for the feedback! Though we haven't had a chance to test out the SR1 yet, Schuberth are well known for their quality manufacturing. How have you found the SR1 in comparison to the helmets we tested out?
@@Championhelmets it flows nice amount of air, it could benefit of an eyebrow vent, it's the quietest compared to the others, in hi speeds i think it's the best aerodynamically no buffetting no lift and minimum drag, the liner is great as u expected ib this price. For my head if money isn't in the equation it's a schberth, mony for value rpha.
Again, great way and great result of comparing data for the best helmet. I swear pista is super loud, I don't get it why people use it as daily helmet when there's corsa or any other helmet which is better. Oh and maybe if you could add more point for "long term use" for the next comparison data. Hence in my experience there's a lot of flaw when it comes for long term use for each helmets. Example, HJC RPHA 11 prone for having peeling/flaking synthetic leather part. Shoei X14 crown pad being super easy crumbled when get mosited from sweat
Thanks for the suggestion! We'll have to look into how longevity could be measured, though this may be difficult since most helmets should be replaced after 3-5 years. The Pista was definitely a loud helmet, and while this is standard for a track helmet, it makes it less suited for daily commutes. Besides durability, how have you found the helmets we tested out?
I love your data. I think your choice of scales and tallying of stars injects subjectivity. But thank you for putting some real world testing into a process where most of us can't try the product before buying. Kudos 👍👍👍
Thanks for the feedback, we appreciate it! Though we do have to rank our helmets in the end, we base this on our wide range of tests to ensure that we are being as fair as possible. What did you think of the helmets we tested out?
For a sleek profile, a good option for the X-Spirit 3 would be something like the Cardo Packtalk Slim or Packtalk Bold, since they can clamp directly onto the side of the helmet. Thanks for the question!
Yes, it is posible to fit the RX-7V Racing spoiler (Arai calls it their Diffuser Extension) onto the normal RX-7V. However, since it uses adhesive for mounting, you can only place it on one helmet. Thanks for the question!
Though race helmets tend towards an intermediate to long oval fit, the best round option would be the Arai. The RX-7V uses a highly adjustable liner with additional peel away pads, which will give you the best set of options. Nonetheless, the best option is to always try the helmet on (if possible) in a local store to make sure you have the proper fit. Thanks for the question!
Interesting Lidpicker.com indicated the Arai (US model Corsair X) measured more oval than round. ?Although I hear manufacturers molds differ for various markets? I also see your point about the adjustability peel off liners provides in the Arai. Wish all manufacturers provided this. It's standard in bicycle helmets.

FIM is only for the top tier of racing, so the FIM leagues like MotoGP, Moto3, FIM Supermoto, ETC. It's dependant on what country you're in if you can use a certain helmet on track. For example, in the UK, we have the ACU Gold certification to say a helmet can be used on track. Best thing to do would be to contact your most frequented/local track and ask
With so many racing helmets to choose from, we decided to focus on mainly the upper segment of sport helmets, which also meant leaving out the Airoh GP 550S. You guys make great contents. However, I find the scoring system massively flawed. Based on your analogy, ride with NO HELMET at all and the score will be 5 stars in your WEIGHT, VENTILATION and COMFORT category. So that will get a 2.5 stars overall average. AND no helmet means zero dollars, as such that will be the best value for money?? The SAFETY of a HELMET should be the most important criteria of all, safety deserves more attention than any of your categories. Based on your equation, if you were give the ARAI say, 25 stars for safety, then your ranking will make logical sense.
Of course, safety is the first and foremost purpose of a helmet, and we do hope to someday include this in our rankings. In fact, we do already take some of the helmet's safety into account by considering additional homologations, emergency quick release, and extra safety (such as Bell's Flex or Arai's unique shell shape) in our features category. In addition to this, aspects of the helmet such as weight, comfort, noise, and ventilation also have an impact on safety since they also affect fatigue. Thanks for the comment!
