Yikes to the alligators. You find the most amazing places to camp. Safe travels, enjoy the beauty I just love your new rig. You did an amazing job putting it all together. Love the table too. I’m so glad you had a place to do your initial build out. I love Kelly.
I took 6 months off my job in Charlotte in 1998, and moved to Mclellanville, SC. I lived in a haunted old Dr.'s office there on the main road in the village. It was glorious, and I never understood how it had not been discovered by tourists yet. Here it is 2021, never went back, still call South Carolina home. And yes...the bugs can be horrendous here, lol.
Hi Brian, love the way you fitted out the box van so far. Have you ever thought about improving the aerodynamics of the van? The box section is about as aerodynamic as a brick. 😉 Maybe consider this: buy 2 surfboard carrier bars, mount those on the roof of the cab, make a wind deflector/ style box that you can mount on top of the surfboard carrier bars. The inside can be used as extra storage space. The shape should mimic the angle of the windscreen in order to guide the air up over the top and along the sides of the box. You could also mount some vortex generator tabs on the trailing edges (both horizontal and verticall) on the rear of the box. Both mods would reduce the aerodynamic drag of your box van significantly which would translate into better mileage. You would recoup the cost quite fast and after that you would reap the benefit.
Great ideas. The vg’s alone likely a significant improvement. I fly a small experimental aircraft and the vg’s i have on the wings and tail have yielded 5 more mph of cruise speed - improved the flight surfaces efficiency.
i love your videos, im lucky youtube recomended you to me😊 im looking forward for more renovations to your camping vehicle. keep on doing these kind of vlogs😊
So happy to see some nomads on the SE coast. Refreshing from always being on the west coast. Great b roll of the wild life....I love prehistoric gators!
Seeing you standing up feels nice, after watching you for 3+ years. Brian and Kelly please be safe driving and continue to enjoy your adventurous life.
You found two beautiful places for sure. Most excellent videography in so many shots. Do like SC, many beautiful areas. Really like the job you did on the van/truck, very homey. 😊👍
@@b.snow-fotomkr6132 I think you're right. I looked them up (hort.extension.wisc.edu/articles/mayapple-podophyllum-peltatum/) and the leaf patterns match Mayapple and not Schefflera.
Good morning y'all ! I'm finally back on the road again! The van is doing great! I'm visiting friends in north Georgia, the weather is perfect. Peace y'all, and all our nomad friends !!!
Loved the drive in with the oak trees either side of you, they seemed like they were quite old and had a kind of majestic feeling to them. Nice to see you getting some good down time in before your next job, especially after all the work on your van - nice one. 🙂
You came at the right time here in South Carolina when mosquitoes are out there really bad thank you for showing me the beautiful parts of South Carolina
Beautiful country! But gosh durn it you and your reptiles! Standing right there in the trail where they cross gave me chills! Sure love what you have done with the box van. Safe travels 😎✌
Sigh . . . what a beautiful, peaceful video. The editing of all your nature shots is so beautiful, I especially loved the time-lapse of the clouds reflected in the water, and the amazing shot of the bat (bird?) flying across the moon. I also like the way you have your inset of yourself driving in a circle now. Just lovely, I so enjoy driving along in new places with you. Hi to camera-shy Kelly too. 🤗
Your camping places are ideal!...thank you for sharing your travels with me!.....God bless you and Kelly and May He bless you abundantly and stay safe and healthy!
Thank you so much for another beautiful trip; the area, the trees and surroundings.....I like the timeless alligators best, with colors so defined, and that "smile"; truly an antique/modern animal that has seemed to cross time zones.....& trees with moss of memories
Van looking very innovative, I like that swing table, high cupboards. Not so sure about 'gator country. Had a friend who got treed by a crocodile up north here in Australia, she was telling me the whole story, showing her wounds, was up the tree for days. I told her I remembered it from the news. He'd got no vital blood vessels. Some rangers eventually found her.
You did such a good job on this video, I was mesmerized every minute of it. I have begun purchasing state gazetteers off e bay if they are under 10 bucks. I use them for my adventures since I am not tech savvy nor does my van have any kind of off grid type power. I now have them from FL to ME, and was able to follow each of your campsites using my new SC gazetteer. I'm excited, and a big fan. Well done Brian.
The camps look comfortably shaded. It's always great when you can get some things done to your van. The meal looks good too. I hope you're not plagued by the gas shortages right now.
Well Brian and Kelly you produced a beautiful video once again. This was a feast for all the senses. And I even got the adrenaline going with the sight of the alligators. Loved it! Thank you!
Awesome video Brian!! The box van is really starting to look like home for you. I love the swinging table! How handy is that. You really caught some beautiful scenery...Beautiful!!
I love how you match up the beat of the music to different highway scenes. Also digging the round insert for when you are commenting on the drive. Thoroughly enjoyed your video as always. ✌️💕
Brian, you keep getting more amazing! Those shelves and upper cabinet are awesome but that swivel table is so cool!! Like you said, it’s incredibly versatile.
Hey its kon, met yall in the rtr caravan 2 yrs ago. I sent Kelly a dm, don't know if she's seen it tho. You guys should not miss seeing Atalaya Castle right up the road, if you haven't already passed it. The guy had it built like a moorish palace but would give instructions each day out of his head. Entirely built with no blueprints. It lay empty for decades and now can be toured for really low donation, like 4 or 5 bucks. Its dreamy in the inner courtyards. If you stay at the state campground, also cheap for beachside camping, you can sit out on the veranda at night facing out towards the sea and listen to the wind sing through the place. Highly recommend, I just hope you read this in time
The towers in the video are actually state forestry towers. During fire season these would have been manned with trained observers who monitored a specific area for forest fires. As communication has improved with everyone having cell phones to report fires these towers have outlived their usefulness. You see these towers all over NC and SC.
Yes. They are all over CA as well. I knew a guy that lived/worked full time in one for over 20 years. He loved the solitude. I always thought that would be the coolest job. Sadly he was replaced by a drone. ✌🏼
I really do enjoy your videos, and love how you are able to create the experience of actually being there with you! I live in the Yukon, Canada, and have always been fascinated with the American south-west. I have never really paid much attention to the eastern states, but these recent videos have helped me to see how beautiful they are.
What a sweet box van home you've created! Could you show the connecting swivel device under that great table? Great design! Thanks Brian. Happy Travels you two!
I live in myrtle beach sc and we have been at Francis marion a few times to camp and it is nice, if you go near the santee or near the water in the spring or summer here in sc especially inland the bugs do get crazy. Wish you were in this area, would love to meet you but enjoy our state.
I follow alot of you tubers but lately yours is the one I wait for and look forward to the most omg your home is so elegant beautiful and cozy you did a wonderful job so look forward to your CH thank you for cooking was the only thing missing love your home what a beautiful area all the trees great thank you for sharing so happy for you you seem so at peace love to you and Kelly enjoy I would love 😘💟💝💜stayed up so glad I did got to see you guys so look forward to them
FYI where there's a lot of birds there's usually a lot of bugs you hit it at a very good time the Santee is known for its bugs and its catfish and be careful of the Spanish moss it has chiggers in it that's a little red bug that gets under your skin and makes it itch loved the video😉🐝✌
Pretty places. Your new home is really becoming homey - space to move & stand up, store things nicely & better air circulation than the van. The table is a great addition, as is the cabinet. Good stuff.
Brian - I have a similar size side-hinged upper cabinet in my van and simply adding magnetic catches keeps the doors closed while traveling. I've never had one open, even on rough gravel roads.
We had the same experience at that Elmwood Camp. It looked like people live there.... the ranger was there at that moment and there just was a not welcome vibe. We really enjoyed the Santee Area but in the end decided to stay at Santee State Park & then a nice fish camp in Cross. Just love those canopied drives, live oak and the smell of pine in the air.Another great video,Brian! Thanks for taking us along ☺
Hi from BC, Canada. My hubby had been following you and your vanbuild. I loved your scenic drive and your food making. Where did you order the Grilling plate for your stove that you made Grilled cheese on? 🧀😁
Yummy pizza burgers 😋 Made me hungry AGAIN😜‼️😋💯💝 You've quickly made your way to the top channel I go to now! May the Forest be with you 😉‼️💯❤️

Still living vicariously through Brian for over 3 years now 😅

Very nice , I loved the ending with the Moon and coals from your camp fire . Thumbs UP to you two .
So happy to see some nomads on the SE coast. Refreshing from always being on the west coast. Great b roll of the wild life....I love prehistoric gators!
Always awesome to see your adventures. 🚚
I love how nature reclaims her space eventually. Bricks? No problem.
Your so lucky to be out on the road and away from all the crap happening in America !
Nice Native American flute music for the intro. And nice camper box truck. 😎👍
Seeing you standing up feels nice, after watching you for 3+ years. Brian and Kelly please be safe driving and continue to enjoy your adventurous life.
Excellent videography Brian! Really ready to watch! Life is good! 🙋🚙
Your cinematography skills continue to impress. Great wildlife and time-lapse shots.
You found two beautiful places for sure. Most excellent videography in so many shots. Do like SC, many beautiful areas. Really like the job you did on the van/truck, very homey. 😊👍
This is another one of your videos that I want to jump into & stay forever.... Hope your stay remained bug-free 😉
You are an excellent videographer. A very peaceful way to start my day. I love your mini pizza idea. I’ve added them to my travel menu.
Very nice video, lucky about the bugs. 👍👍👍😁😎
You find the best camp sights
The plants at the ruins are called Schefflera plants or commonly called umbrella trees.
thanks came to comments for the answer myself
Actually they are Mayapple not Schefflera
@@b.snow-fotomkr6132 I think you're right. I looked them up (hort.extension.wisc.edu/articles/mayapple-podophyllum-peltatum/) and the leaf patterns match Mayapple and not Schefflera.
You Did a Great job with your Van it looks professional done with a personalized touch.
I enjoy watching your videos and all the exploring you do
You may run into the cicadas! That will be interesting! Just take care and have fun! Always love your music! Gators! O M G! Be careful!
Good morning y'all !
I'm finally back on the road again!
The van is doing great! I'm visiting friends in north Georgia, the weather is perfect.
Peace y'all, and all our nomad friends !!!
Awesome! 🤩
Great footage on the driving with the trees. Awesome additions to your home. Stay safe and happy camping Brian and Kelly.
Camera quality is very good. Editing excellent.
Agreed. Your b roll footage is professional grade. I enjoyed every second of it, thank you.
Thanks for this. I learned a lot and enjoyed the stunning gator and river shots!
Bet there would be some good metal detecting at those old plantations.
Following Brian for several years now. It is a habit I don't ever want to break.
Thank you
Great videography. What a beautiful place your in. You look so comfortable in your new van.
One of your best, Brian. You seem to be in a nice groove now and the box van is really coming together. Thanks!
Loved the drive in with the oak trees either side of you, they seemed like they were quite old and had a kind of majestic feeling to them. Nice to see you getting some good down time in before your next job, especially after all the work on your van - nice one. 🙂

It's good you didn't get too close to those plants at the ruins. They are carnivorous and have been known to eat people.
🤣
Who doesn't love a nice tree canopy.
I'm thinking it's kind of rare for someone to " sit still" 14 days today ! I commend you sir.
Was thinking the same thing! I can’t make it past like 3 days haha
You did a great job on the build - love the little shelves. I remember that first van...
Sigh . . . what a beautiful, peaceful video. Awesome footage you know how to capture the best moments, thanks 😊
Love what you've accomplished on the box van. Beautiful low country video. Keep them coming
Love your videos...always feel like I’m travelin’...🤠

I'm told that gators aren't as fierce as our crocs, but neither I'd care to come too close to.
@@allegrosotto2126 Like snakes, best if you see them before they see you!
South Carolina is such a pretty state, super nice job on the camera and editing.......
You never fail to impress. Enjoyed seeing your new updates, beautiful areas and the moon at the end was just gorgeous. Thank you for your gift to us.

I was at Santee loved it there was able to save an Eel that got beached and got him back on the water such a cool experience!
Thank you for the de-stressing... Travel Blessings🙂

Love the table build. I'd like to see underneath how it's mounted. I think I have an idea but would like to see it.
I love the music to the videos.
Looks like a beautiful spot and your build out is looking great!
Brian, you keep getting more amazing! Those shelves and upper cabinet are awesome but that swivel table is so cool!! Like you said, it’s incredibly versatile.
Great video Brian. That swivel table is pretty sweet!!! Thanks for sharing and happy adventuring!!

Back in the 70's when I was a trucker and before I-95 went thru Santee it was known for its working girls along 301
