  • Moving on from our last camp in Florida. We spent 3 full months in Florida and only paid for camping twice. Lots of free camping opportunities there. We move north into Georgia. Georgia had been getting a lot more rain than Florida and many of the dirt roads were flooded. We took refuge in urban parking lots and visited Savannah, Georgia for the first time. We loved it there. See you in the next video!
*My name is Brian. I started living full time in a self built camper van in 2014 in my hometown of San Diego, CA. I hit the road full-time in 2015 to pursue seasonal work and travel around the U.S. I find free camping on public land and enjoy photography, hiking, biking, and kayaking in nature. Join me on my adventures.
    Thanks for watching!

At 5:35 you said river was St Mary's but it is St John's river. Our port is expanding there. Bridge is called officially Napoleon Browerd, he has interesting history. Most of us call it Dames Point bridge, north side of river point is known as that. I don't think any cruise ships were in, their port is to west of where you were driving.
On the East part of island where port is, is military, merchant marines use it also. Where you were at is where mines were placed in river. The French had a fort on South side, which became a civil war fort Caroline. On north side was another fort, Yellow Bluff, it was an earthan works fort mostly. Florida like most places has a really interesting history. We are moving from here to NW of Gainesville.
Lots of pine forests are for paper, renewable trees.
I surly enjoyed your vlog, I always do.
    Thanks for the beautiful captures.

Everything here in the States are pretty much open (with distancing restrictions & mask wearing still, but we all know THAT ain't workin'!) including the campgrounds & parks. Campgrounds _were_ open last year *BUT* ...the restrooms & showers were closed, so self-contained only. No tent camping unless you had your own porta-potty because using "cat holes" weren't allowed (for reasons obvious in a campground!)
/I wish you luck, my Northern friend!

@@ScottMeister thanks Scott. Canada is experiencing a surge in the variants. Our health officials are screaming to lock everything up tight. My campervan is in storage 😐. In Ontario we are permitted to go for a walk for exercise, either alone or with someone from your household. They are begging us to stay at home
You be well too. Quite a few shootings stateside in the last 24 hours 🤦🏾‍♀️

@@michele2855 I've seen that! So is the States...but the Republican parties in charge are *SCREAMING* for everything to re-open. They're sooooo worried about the "economy" collapsing because of a third lockdown, but in reality, it's THEIR pocketbooks that are gonna suffer the most. If people are dying, how does that help the economy? Our Republican representatives are dead set against a lockdown although health officials are wanting it again because of the mutations. Possibly more than 12 now?? I dunno. At least I've got the Moderna so I'm somewhat protected! o_0 What can I do? -sigh-

The Tybee Island mid-air collision was an incident on February 5, 1958, in which the United States Air Force lost a 7,600-pound (3,400 kg) Mark 15 nuclear bomb in the waters off Tybee Island near Savannah, Georgia, United States. During a practice exercise, an F-86 fighter plane collided with the B-47 bomber carrying the bomb. To protect the aircrew from a possible detonation in the event of a crash, the bomb was jettisoned. FYI.
