What a great trip. Finally you try the High Speed Sleeper Train. Something surprising me is, unlike others sleeper train in the world which only has single class seating on their train consists, in China there's two seating class in High Speed Sleeper Train. I hope in the future you can visit the Western part of China or taking Trans Siberian or visiting land border or maybe do more Bus/Coach Trip Report, I like that.
Wonderful and cost is very good also. 70 years go, people would die tryin to swim across the sea to escape from China to Hong Kong. Today, China leads the world in high speed rail. Thats whats amazing - the speed of development in China.
If the Chinese can do this, there is no excuse why other countries including the U.K. cannot also follow this lead - it’s particularly the case here in the U.K. where the British Victorians gave the world the concept of the railway, now many U.K. railways are a total disgrace in modern times
It’s just not good enough and remains totally unacceptable - even the trains in Eastern Europe are better than those in Western Europe, especially here in the U.K., where our trains are the worst in Europe - maybe total bans on all air travel and total banning of all private cars will force through the changes that are much needed and long overdue on the railways, with motorways reserved for freight and public transport (coaches) only, that are not currently accessible by rail
If there was the same vision as the Chinese, Japanese and Taiwanese, we would have the same trains here in the U.K. - imagine a direct train line from Hull, via York, Leeds, Manchester Victoria, Holyhead (with a high speed undersea rail tunnel) to Dublin overnight and wake up in Dublin Connolly the next morning
Nice video! Is the train taking regular lines in part of the journey to Hong Kong, because I would think that going at 300-350km/h the train would only need 5 or 6 hours to reach Hong Kong?
8:17 are you sharing with anyone else in that sleeper cabin? I could not sleep anywhere without my teddy bear, so my little James Bear always travels with me (I’m 54) until I find myself a boyfriend/husband to share with ❤
How was your journey? Did you feel any shaking or a hard vibration in the train during your journey? Cause chinese trains prestige is being put in doubt
