I bought one of these with power steering back in 2010 , this thing is a freaking beast ! The tires sucked so I changed them to Kenda Exexutioner ( stock sizes ) it has done everything I ask it to do . Even pushed out a buddy's stuck 1994 f150 !
Before I ever tried it I would not have believed how seamless it works. We have a Polaris XP with EPS coming to test as I hear those units are more like what we'd expect from 'power' steering - easy working and no feel.
Keep in mind that there are various types of power steering units - the ing Quad and the Grizzly operate almost invisibly and are actually (in my opinion) more of an asset as a steering stabilizer rather than as 'power' steering. Plus, power steering allows a much better caster angle thus better steering stability without adding a lot of effort to the steering at slower speeds.
@70sonicboom The way to really know is to watch our reviews we've done of the Outlander. It's a very nice machine but several 'key' issues that keep it from being as good (for us!) as the KQ, Grizzly, and Brute Force. Such as single lever braking, bad rear wheel brakes, no locker, runs warm. But we love the suspension! No test forthcoming on the 1000.
The King Quad with EPS would be my first choice. When equipped with power steering the caster has been increased and fixes the handling glitch that I didn't like on the previous models.
@70sonicboom Thanks....One problem we have is we just don't think anyone needs a 1000cc ATV - even an 800 seems like more than adequate. The only time we've ever even used all the 800's power is at high altitude in deep snow.
@989kriss A smooth running engine and transmission don't transfer nearly as much vibration to the rider. Much like a smooth running car compared to a rough running one.
Actually that's the beauty of the Suzuki (and Yamaha) power steering systems - they are not over-powered. Although they make the steering easier it is a very natural feel, unlike EPS units like on Polaris ATV where they are too easy to move and have very little feel.
@carducho The ATRs should be perfect for what you do......Mounted on stock wheels I assume. You'll be absolutely amazed at the difference.......Let us know how they work.
@ATVTVCOM I've noticed on your shows how you lean towards Suzuki. I started out on Suzuki ATV's way back in the 80's but I'm looking now at Can Am's. What's your opinion of the Outlander? I live near the Paiute trail and do Moab a lot too. Would the KQ be better than the Can Am for me? Also, when can we expect a review of the new Outlander 1000cc XT? Thanks.
@ATVTVCOM Too bad. I was looking forward to an unbiased report on the new 1000. You guys aren't afraid to say whats good AND bad about a bike. Anyway, it sounds like the new Outtie still has all the same problems you mentioned except for the lockers and running warm. Apparently, they have now doubled the radiator size and coolant and are putting the Visco Lok QE diff lock on the new bike. And that suspension you liked is now even better with a new frame and geometry. Tough choice now!
@ATVTVCOM .........i have a 1996 polaris explorer and 2008 polaris sportsman and i have not had any big problems with them but i am thinking of getting something like the raptor ..........in its class is raptor the best?
In my opinion the 450 (2007) or the 500 (2011). I actually have both, and they both are better than any polaris, yamaha, or honda i have ever ridden. For some reason the 450 has more speed than the 500, but the 500 has extreme pulling power. I was actually pulling around old trucks and cars the weight about 3000 pounds the other day. I just put it in low range and 4wd and the 500 showed no sign of weakness.
Hi, Doug! i own a KQ 750 which soon will need a tire change. I want to put in it something better than the stock Dunlops, and think on the ITP's Holeshot ATR, because of what you said about them. What do you think?Any suggestions? I usually ride in grassy trails, some mud and wet rocks, with frequent tarmac liaisons. Regards!
@burgerboo10 I own a 2005 kingquad 700, wich is similar to this one, and my friend owns a 2006 brute force 650. I tried both on multiple occasions and we raced a couple of time too. The brute force is ''a bit'' more powerfull and feels more ''stiff'' but isn't way faster than my kingquad. The Kingquad has a better overall feeling IMO, smoother and more balanced. Of course this is my personal tastes on similar, yet different models. Both are very good atv. I hope it helped!!
@beachamboys11 This or the 500. We never lacked any power on the 500 except in DEEP snow. They are both the same frame so the only difference is the engine size and power.
I have the 500 and it is a very good machine, lots of power (i can pull about 2500 pounds with little struggle), and the power steering isn't needed in my opinion, you can tell the difference. but it is very unpopular and hard to find add ons like lift kits and snorkels. Thats the only problem I have with the 2011 suzuki king quad 500axi
It certainly adds money, but very little weight, and is not what you expect in the fact that it takes away the feel. You do not even notice that it has power steering - it's just more like you have a bit stronger arms. There's still plenty of feel.
My name is Goga Gogoladze. I am from Georgia and need your help regarding of my ATVE. When I wind up my ATVE it has strange voice and I do not understand the reason of it. I am sending a video to you in which I will try to show you everything in detail. Thank you for your time spent reading this letter.
Never really thought about the slower speeds.. With my experiences with PS, I didn't feel I could trust it a higher speeds. I can't really give a good reason why, it just didn't feel right.
I have a 09 suzuki 750...got it left over in 2010... I love this quad...I dont care about the racks being a bit smaller..They are perfect for what i use them for...Hunting This thing is a beast...I toped it out at 72 miles an hour on the black top.. And this thing will go anywhere...The tires are a bit weak..But i got them about woredown now..And iam going to get new ones soon...My quad is the camo version..With the black rims...What tires for mud do you recommend for my stock rims? thanks
Im looking for a quad and Im either going to get a honda or suzuki. polaris are junk, kawaskies are cheap(just the quad, bikes are great) and can am have radiator problems. i know a thing or two about quads i just need an opionon. honda or suzuki.
Ethan Donker Errr. I have a 750 king quad 2016. Real nice ... Honda is a good bike , no doubt. Between these two is a flip of a coin ... butt I have to say ride a king quad first. Smooth and strong as hell ...
No. To me the power steering applies to a totally different market then true enthusiasts. I personally love to feel everything that's being thrown at me and that's part of the challenge/fun. The power steering is more for the cruising and touring market than the more "hardcore" guys. That's just me though.

Just bought one. Love it!!

@NILSATISXAVS Yes. They are available with power steering.
The King Quad with EPS would be my first choice. When equipped with power steering the caster has been increased and fixes the handling glitch that I didn't like on the previous models.
@sleepwalker2112 Good take on them both....Very balanced opinion.
@ATVTVCOM Yes, they'll be on the stock rims. I'll keep you up to date! Thxs a lot!
@Lenar2541 King Quad without any hesitation. With EPS it is my absolute favorite ATV.
@70sonicboom Thanks....One problem we have is we just don't think anyone needs a 1000cc ATV - even an 800 seems like more than adequate. The only time we've ever even used all the 800's power is at high altitude in deep snow.

It's on our website
@as140672 The A is for automatic, the X for independent rear suspension, and the I for fuel injection. Or so we think ;-)
@mihneaboom I think so - it's one of my all time favorites!
Why is the towing capicity lower compared to other models with even with half the engine size? And do you know if the 2010 line up includes a V-Twin?
@carducho The ATRs should be perfect for what you do......Mounted on stock wheels I assume. You'll be absolutely amazed at the difference.......Let us know how they work.
@ATVTVCOM

I have Kingquad 750 its great i suggest you buy the winch and the bigger tires it is awesome.
@ATVTVCOM
Too bad. I was looking forward to an unbiased report on the new 1000. You guys aren't afraid to say whats good AND bad about a bike.

@ATVTVCOM which one have u taked- KQ 750-whitout EPS or BF 750 or grizzly 700EPS or outlander 800 or polaris xp 850??
@ATVTVCOM .........i have a 1996 polaris explorer and 2008 polaris sportsman and i have not had any big problems with them but i am thinking of getting something like the raptor ..........in its class is raptor the best?

@AChap52 The KQ 500 or 750 EPS, or the Grizzly 550 or 700 EPS.
@jon35732 The only 'Suzuki' V-Twin was 'actually' the Kawasaki V-Twin in the Twin Peaks, which was just a rebadged Kawasaki Prairie.
@zackthegoth They don't come street legal but there are kits in the aftermarket to make them street legal.
@989kriss The Polaris probably will tow the most and tow it the easiest. Because it is the heaviest the trailer will affect it the least.
@1728jeff7928 This! Better power steering, full brake control, full drivetrain control! Better reliability. Lighter. More nimble.
@burgerboo10 I own a 2005 kingquad 700, wich is similar to this one, and my friend owns a 2006 brute force 650. I tried both on multiple occasions and we raced a couple of time too. @Knox48x They are both made by companies very dedicated to quality.
@burgerboo1 The KQ gets better mileage, is smoother running (taller geared), but although not as powerful as the Brute Force I don't think it lacks.
Nice quad!!!
@ ATVTVCOM- do you prefer this or a kawasaki brute force for all day riding with lots of power? wich one has better gas mileage?
@beachamboys11 This or the 500. We never lacked any power on the 500 except in DEEP snow. They are both the same frame so the only difference is the engine size and power.
what do u like better on this compared to sportsman 850 xp

@as140672 Not as stable as a 2-seat ATV (with only one person on it) but with radial tires it's as good as anything out there.
So do I but the Griz does not have quite as smooth of an engine and trans package as the KQ and the KQ has a parking brake.
what is the difference between the 700 and the 750
how stable is this quad like when going up steep hills
is this king quad 750i better than kawasaki brute force 750?please answer cuz i got one and i need to know
It certainly adds money, but very little weight, and is not what you expect in the fact that it takes away the feel. You do not even notice that it has power steering - it's just more like you have a bit stronger arms. There's still plenty of feel.
did atvtvcom make a vid about sportman xp yet
thank you for the fast answer^^
@ATVTVCOM rigth... But the xp looks nice. But it's hevay! it's that a big problem ?
Ya, I use my Cat to launch my 18 ft. boat in the summer and it handels it fine!
My name is Goga Gogoladze. I am from Georgia and need your help regarding of my ATVE. When I wind up my ATVE it has strange voice and I do not understand the reason of it. Goga Gogoladze Sorry Goga but the video link says it is private and won't let me view it
ATVTV Sorry.can help me....can you? help me? This my ATV. my video!
Goga Gogoladze The video is labeled "PRIVATE" And does not let me view it. Make the video 'PUBLIC'
can you ride with sozius? (2 person on king quad?)
what is axi on the kingquad?
@MALamborghini Go to our website - they are better categorized there. If not, we have it but just haven't put it up yet.
@989kriss The King with EPS. Then Griz with EPS. Then Brute Force.
you should do a video showing people how to drive a manual atv
Why haven't you tested out any Arctic Cats? I live in the hometown where thier made.
Never really thought about the slower speeds..
With my experiences with PS, I didn't feel I could trust it a higher speeds. I can't really give a good reason why, it just didn't feel right.
They haven't sent us any!
We must have mis-used a spec from the Brute Force.
I have a 09 suzuki 750...got it left over in 2010... I love this quad...I dont care about the racks being a bit smaller..They are perfect for what i use them for...Hunting This thing is a beast...I toped it out at 72 miles an hour on the black top.. @zackthegoth Mileage varies incredibly with how you ride. I get around 20-25 but a friend almost always gets over 35! Go figure ;-)
any problems with this machine
About 27cc is all. You probably wouldn't even notice the difference if you were blindfolded. Not that I suggest you ride them blindfolded ;-)
@NILSATISXAVS If ATVs can be street legal where you live then this one can be made steer legal.
but it say that 750cc and in the paper say 722cc
Im looking for a quad and Im either going to get a honda or suzuki. polaris are junk, kawaskies are cheap(just the quad, bikes are great) and can am have radiator problems. i know a thing or two about quads i just need an opionon. honda or suzuki.
Ethan Donker Errr. I have a 750 king quad 2016. Real nice ... Honda is a good bike , no doubt. Between these two is a flip of a coin ... butt I have to say ride a king quad first. Smooth and strong as hell ...
What do you suggest for a 160lb man?
beachamboys11 King quad 750. You will be happy that you did
@1728jeff7928 In my opinion it is - by a long ways!
@jon35732 I have two friends that each put over 7000 miles on them without problem.
The tow rating is a purely subjective rating based on several factors none of which are of any actual value in the real world ;-)
emmmm good point
@VampirSchaf1 It's not reccomended but it's doable ;-)
@stevo1357911 Then I guess you should move to Utah, or Arizona, or Idaho, or ?????
nothing runs better than a honda honda all the way
@stevo1357911 Yes.
@ATVTVCOM ...........ok thanks
@NILSATISXAVS no.
it sounds like my honda except this thing runs
None.
no, i dont like it either, i think atvs should be basic so you can enjoy them at a low price. Otherwise ill just buy a jeep
No. To me the power steering applies to a totally different market then true enthusiasts. I personally love to feel everything that's being thrown at me and that's part of the challenge/fun. YAMAHA GRIZZLY 700 best
