Me again... For your band 8 pro xiaomi home app say "you can set commands for this scenario in the mi home" , and for me displays an error and I have the app on my phone... I don't know how to make it work, because smal number of people has it ... to bad for me.
This video is so cool and can help me decide which one to buy.
Because Mi Band 8 pro has been released a global ver few days ago while I was thinking about getting Band 8.
So, I’ve decided to but Band 8 normal one because I think it would be small and comfort when I use it in the gym and running.
Built-in GPS is not really important for me cause I always take my iPhone all the time (honestly, I like to run in treadmills instead) but I would be useful if I use it for trekking. BTW it’s not so important and worth its cost.
So Band 8 is enough for me. Thank you for your review.
P.S. I’ll use it until Apple Watch battery is long lasting for more than 7 days then I will buy Apple Watch.

I'm interested to see how the NFC and voice assistant will work in the global version. Unfortunately, these features are useless in the Chinese version outside of China.

Hello. If you have a Chinese version of Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro, then you need to select China region in the Xiaomi Mi Fitness app, and then the bracelet will be recognized.

I think the advantages of the Amazfit Bip 3 Pro are a big screen and a built-in GPS. However, if you only need it for notifications and music control, then Xiaomi Smart Band 8 is also good.

The global version of the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro will probably have a voice assistant in English. I am not sure it will support NFC contancless payment. I think the other functions will be the same as the Chinese version.

Screen size, GPS, NFC cards and voice assistant are the main differences. However, NFC and voice assistant are useless outside of China.

I would just like to mention that the xiaomi mi band 8 may be inaccurate to the pro as people don’t wear the band correctly. You are meant to wear the band 1.5-2 cm away from your wristbone in your non-dominant hand. I compared it to an Apple watch and the heart rate was same.
I think I'm wearing the bracelets right at 10:00. I don't have an Apple Watch, but the Xiaomi fitness bands show about the same bpm.
