The most normal video in which two types of watches are actually compared. Everything is just the most necessary, without unnecessary chatter and pauses. Qualitative review
I have both and once again mi band 8 has connection issues with iOS disconnecting from the phone when ever it likes so you don’t always get ur notifications, huawei band 8 on the other hand always stays connected to the iPhone (of cause when it Bluetooth rage) huawei band 8 Always notifies you when disconnected from the Bluetooth if out of range. So person after testing both of them even tho the mi band 8 looks nicer I would still pick the huawei band 8, hopefully next year they will add auto brightness
@@seabornekarmabrandonchaney3073 No, Mi (Smart) Band 8 does NOT support quick reply feature! I checked it on both Chinese and Global versions. You probably confused the functionality with the ability to send quick messages during incoming calls. This does not apply to any other notifications.
Both aren't that good, but the Huawei is slightly better. The Xiaomi one is pure crap at tracking sleep. One of the worst amongst any health watch/band.
Nice review, helpful, thank you. The xiaomi looks great. Couple of questions: 1) Which has better haptic controls eg setting levels for alarms, countdown... Ability to change pause duration, set timers that have intervals (eg a buzz every 5mins for a 25min period). 2) Do either have a punch mode? (for counting punchws eg to a punch bag, or counting other arm movements). 3) which is better for consistency and accuracy of pedometer, step counter, GPS? 4) The huawei supports nfc payments not the xiaomi doesn't? Not any other type of payment eg qr code payment?
About your first question, the Xiaomi is probably better (based on my experience with Huawei GT2 Pro and Xiaomi band 6) I have a GT2 Pro, is has pretty much zero control on the vibrations. I can either set vibrations to "soft" (which you can barely ever feel) and "strong" (which is okay). Compared to the Xiaomi band 6, which allows you to create your own vibrations for each type of alert (calls, notifications, alarms, etc.).
I picked Huawei band 8 3 weeks ago and everything is great apart from walking on treadmill. The distance and pace are always super behind and it results in less calories burned. On average when I walk 3km the watch counts only 2,5km and the pace should be around 10,5 minutes but the watch says 13,3. After I’m done I always calibrate it but it doesn’t do anything and next day it’s wrong again. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks
No smartwatch can measure steps or pace on a treadmill, because you're stationary. That's why treadmills have their own sensors for measuring everything.
I thought about ordering from Aliexpress but I was afraid to give them my credit card.... either way I ordered the mi band 8...as a trial to see if I will really like a tracker and if I will use it.. if so I might upgrade to a premium tracker
Hello Wes, I just bought a Band 8 Xiaomi yesterday in Germany for 33€, will it work in the USA? Also, I don't want to carry a phone around in order to be conscious of the number of steps through the day. Will this device give an approximation of steps? Thanks for the well done video and information 😊 Alessandro.

I see no mention of the quick reply feature on social apps notification which is only present on the Huawei. A very handy feature.
I have quick reply feature on my xiaomi band 8

@@seabornekarmabrandonchaney3073Lol, it's only quick reply to a phone call. Nothing else
I got the mi band 8, love it, it would be the perfect band if it had gps
It feels like a premium product
Thank you for your comparison ! It was helpful for me to decide what to buy ! I also agree that mi band8 looks a very good quality prodcut !!
Glad I could help!
is there a way to change the date format to DD/MM?YYYY
Can you tell me which one is better for sleep tracking?
Thanks for reviewing these smart bands. How about the accuracy of HR? Which one is the best?
Yet to test
Huawei Band 8 is miles ahead of Mi Band 8 regarding accuracy of HR and generic sports.
how does each tracker device let you know things ? I need loud audio alerts I think.
Used xiaomi band from 2 generations before this won’t buy them again both of them only last a year compared to huawei’s
I have Mi Band 4 and Mi Band 5, and they're indestructible. Using them for almost 5+ years
Its not about the product, its how you use it.
Question, how have you been using your mi band? My mi band 3 is working fine, my Mi band 6 is also doing great after years.
You must be skipping stones with those. Or maybe striking a nokia phone with it
Bought the Huawei band 8 because the Design suits me more ans the aod IS much cooler
Which one is better on tracking sleep? Its the only reason im buying one of them

do they have bioelectrical impedance analysis to check for body composition like Body fat percentage?
Thanks for the video. Helped me lot.

great comparism! Thanks
Great comparison video, thanks!
Glad you liked it!
I'm satisfied with the Xiaomi 8👍🏻
Odd question but can you set a vibrating silent alarm on these from the watch themselves (rather than in the app)?
Not an odd question, I have the same question!

Oi Wes, when's the Amazfit Balance review coming out?! Cheers bro!
Working on it!
I was tempted by the balance bit it's expensive and previous amazfit chargers don't work with it. It does support mastercard payment.
What do u recomend in those 2?
All down to personal tastes.. both trackers are class leaders
Good video.
Thanks!
Very good comparison
Guys, is mi band 8 actualy made from metal becouse in diferent rewoews people say diferent things
Yep
Very informative comparison
Thx Tanya 💪
I am interested to know if the mi band 8 can respond to whatsapp notifications with quick messages. Thanks
Im sure huawei band 8 does
Accuracy my friend, the hr sensor accuracy of the xiaomi is no where near that of the huawei, huge difference there.
Agreed. HR sensor and Sleep tracking accuracy is killer in Huawei compared to Mi
Correct
Спасибо!
You're welcome 😊
What do you recommend me for a full sport watch?
Amazfit GTR4
Thank you
Do any of them support Alexa?
Nope
Design wise Huawei is better Mi band is better in everything else
i like the design of mi band more

Huawei is more accurate
What about steps counting?
What about it? Accuracy is comparable considering that is the most basic functionality these days. Even the most basic trackers get it right

How do u know?
Huawei is superior
The heart rate tracker on Xiaomi is very inaccurate.
Slightly inaccurate..yet suits the budget price and mostly outperforming similarly priced competition
