- Road trip from Pittsburgh to Miami in my Audi R8. I've been pulled over many times but never for this..
My friend and I drive 1200 miles from Pittsburgh to Miami. 630HP Audi R8 V10 plus and a 750HP Bmw M8, we had made it 1000 miles with no hiccup until we were pulled over by Florida hwy patrol accusing us of street racing. This was a very interesting pull over as they were actually wrong lol..

I can't believe how many "car guys" I see who don't have their paperwork in order. C'mon man. This is a no brainer.
thought the same exact thing. Imagine owning a business and not having it properly registered. Same thing here. This car is Mike's business and on top of it he's driving 3k miles!! He got the car looked at to make sure it was ready for the rally, same thing needs to be done with the paperwork.
Especially if one is driving a hey look at me car.
I always leave my id in my truck if you catch me in the work van or anything else it’s not on me lol

@@418lightning8 No, I never thought of that because it doesn't make any sense. How much time do you save by not renewing a registration? 5 minutes? He has a fine in Georgia now for not having a registered vehicle. I'm sure that headache is going to take a lot longer to sort out than renewing the registration would have.

My guess is that the Miami Dade guy was part of a drug interdiction task force, or operation, which they run all the time on interstates in FL, and maybe the flashy cars attracted his attention
Probably so. I saw a similar situation on I-40 a little over a week ago in Arkansas as I was driving west back towards OK & then south to TX. In the grassy median there were 8 to 10 unmarked cars all lined up & facing east bound traffic. I had to stop for gas a few exits past that & the exit I took was crawling with marked police cars. I filled my car up & went in to buy a drink/snack & by the time I came back out the cops had a car pulled over in the parking lot 1 space over from me. By the time I got into my car & started it a K-9 unit showed up & they had asked the female driver to get out of the car. The K-9 officer had his dog at the front of the woman's car & started the search before I even backed out of my space.
Noone in thier right mind would drive a car that expensive loaded with drugs cause if u get caught your losing your car also 🤷♂️

No bullshit, I have a front mount on my STI and one day as I'm walking away from my car, I give a glance back and find a fucking flip flop lodged up next to my intercooler hahaha. I find cigarette butts from lazy assholes all the time while washing it too from them flipping it out while I'm driving behind em.
I find it comical, I wonder if people do this stuff on purpose. The day that cup was in my intercooler I heard a loud noise as a truck was going by but I didn’t see them throw it out their window so idk. It was strange. As long as my car isn’t hurt I just have to laugh. 🤦♂️😂.
Glad you made it safe. Done that ride wayyy to many times. If you take 19 going back, when you connect from 77 to 79 be careful accidentally speeding . That 60 mile stretch is heavily patrolled.
Welcome to Florida Mike! We have family in the Burgh and we make the trip back several times a year. The FHP guys are OK and traffic moves ABOVE the speed limit on I-95. You need to respect the cops in SC on I-77, southern GA and all of VA. Be safe in your travels!!!

I went through that tunnel before... Was snowing and I was in my Trans Am going from Michigan to VA Beach. Came out the other side and the snow was gone.

I got accused of street racing the same way. My lawyer had to prove they had no proof I was "racing". They wanted to keep my car and suspend my license for 1 - 3 years.
We were speeding but it was regular highway speed. Nobody drives the limit.

Ask me why my new Porsche 992 C4S in in Aventurine Green "a unique super, super dark green, actually looks dark gray 99% of the time", dark gray/muted colors, no wrap, no stickers = "no one except car enthusiasts, maybe only Porsche enthusiasts , looks at me".
Mike I love your R8 man, it is seriously one extremely good looking car "not even kidding", after you showed it the first time on your channel and did not buy it in that video, I called Marshal Goldmans to inquire about purchasing it. I was told the car had a deposit on it. Another one came up here in NC (it was for sale at the Bentley dealership in Charlotte), car was 18 V10 , slightly high milage, around 30k for a good price given the market. Car was in Nardo Gray with Black Optics Package, Carbon Package, loaded out with almost every option, had red interior with the comfort sport seats. I was extremely tempted because the R8 is absolutely one of my favorite cars however, took it for a test drive and it was "all eyes on me", nearly every car I came near, the driver and passengers were staring at me. Two reasons I wouldn't buy the car. One I do not want the constant attention. Two, I am to damn ugly for the constant attention 🤣.
Seriously though, I get a 1/4 or less of the looks driving in my Porsche 992 C4S than I did when I test drove that Nardo R8. I could not imagine the attention a bright Orange R8 attracts. Your car is freaking beautiful though man.

I definitely downplayed my car (boring color, blends in, not many look at it or me) while complimenting Mike on his R8 "which I still think looks nicer than my Porsche" , would absolutely love to have his car, just not the attention it would bring. Seriously I absolutely give you the "long winded part ", unfortunately I am just like that after my accident. As far as bragging about my car, you might want to read what I wrote again. "Or maybe not" 😂🤣. I agree it was long winded. You don't know me clearly. I have not even posted a single pic to social media of my car, hell besides my wife, kids only one family member and one friend even know I have the damn thing, lol.
I am not the "look at me, look at me" guy. I am the guy who dresses in "normal" clothes, does not talk about my finances, do not wear expensive watches ect (except for when appropriate like a business meeting). When people who know me well see me with something "expensive" they are typically surprised. So without knowing me, don't judge me, I won't judge you. If we met and I pulled up in my VW SportWagen, you in your car "whatever it is?", I would not judge you at all. You would never even know I have a new 911, would never come up. Man I wish you, happiness, success and nothing but the best.
That cop should be jailed for mistaken the BMW for an AMG! :-D

How do you not know the registration is expired or check the "new" registration slip before putting it in the car? Isn't there an expiration date sticker on the plate as well?

On November 5th, while you guys were out racing. I purchased a brand new 2021 Honda Accord se! Don't laugh, it's a great car!🤣 Sure it's not super fast like a tricked out BMW or Audi, but it's still quick, and it has heated leather seats. Currently I'm getting about 30mpg, unlike AutoVlog's Audi getting about 15.5mpg. Both or these cars are awesome and I really enjoy this TH-cam channel!!👍🏾

Yeah, but did you go online and renew your registration? It literally takes 5 minutes on the PA driver services site. You could have done it while you were sitting on the side of the road and had your updated credential on your phone.

I would see it as more of a blessing that they pulled you over. Otherwise you wouldn't have known about the car's registration issue. And lets face it, you're a cop magnet lol! It could have been much worse had it occur on or after Dec 1st for something simple with the registration out dated. innocent mistake as you thought the dealer handled everything, but could have had the car impounded and got arrested.
Going to jail for not paying a car tax sounds a bit extreme.
my dads old bmw when he was going 80 it felt like the smoothest thing ever and got good mpg and everything was good at that speed
