She said I've never spent any birthdays with them and they've never attended any birthdays with me and then turned around and said that she spent a few birthdays with him.
I said the same thing. She said she never spent no birthdays with them and then 2 minutes later said I spent a couple of birthdays with them. Girl go to counseling with all that anger
I’m sure in the two years that he left the family, he didn’t attend any birthday parties. I’m also sure that when his ex-wife was driving to meet him half way from TN, that he wasn’t attending birthday parties and she wasn’t spending Christmas or holidays with them. I’m also sure, when they were living with another family before they got their own, Lexi probably wasn’t there either. So, she didn’t lie. She probably spent one or two birthdays or holidays with them when she was older, but that wasn’t the norm.
Keep in mind that she may not have been perfectly prepared, but it seems like you're looking for a reason to discredit her every word and look for anything you can to bring her down. It's very sad what we have become as a people, always ready to attack one another, just what the system has already designed for our people. Let everybody tell their truth without worrying about people like you cancelling them out!

Her attitude in this whole interview reeks of insults, jealousy and hurt. Even the way she spoke about her siblings and spilling tea on their situation. I am objective and i can tell Lexi is HURT and i can say this because i can relate to her story but i can also be objective, however when you are TRULY HEALED there are certain things you dont do or say. I can tell Nell & Chris is not perfect by far but theres more to this story than Lexi knows or is telling. She went on a show to promote her business and all now i dont know what that business is or WHO lexi is…but i do know ALOT about the Fletchers and her distain for her father and Nell. This is sad

She is not wrong for having the feelings she has. She is entitled to feel whatever way she wants to feel about HER father not being in her life and say whatever she wants to say about it. Basically, she is saying that whatever you see on the reality show does not tell the whole story. They wanted to do a reality show, but obviously didn't know the real reality was going to be exposed.

The fact that her mom told her this story is blowing me. As a child and a adult she should not know the ins and outs of her moms and dads relationship. Further to put the demise of their relationship on Nell IDK I'm not going for it. I think maybe he may have had a lot of women that he messed with maybe Nell was one of many maybe not maybe he met Nell after he decided to leave the marriage who knows. Lexi is carrying the hatred and hurt mean while everyone else is going on with their lives.

@naomimartin7986 you have made an assumption that I did not see the interview did not retain the information as well as was not able to comprehend the conversation. All of those are not factual. I do not think that I said in my statement anything about when the mother disclosed anything to her. My position is any adult be it her mother or any other adult that was in her life that fed her any narrative as a child or an adult about a failed relationship is wrong. My mom and dad divorced when I was young. Both remarried both were college educated and professionals. I have never heard neither of my parents aunts uncles friends on both dide say a derogatory word about the other parent. Further I remember when I asked my mom why she and my dad didn't live together and when I got old enough to understand marriage and divorced asked what happen. My mom and dad both said we were young and didnt have no business trying to be married. Do I think there may have been a lot of mess yep do I know the story no do I care no. I have 4 families I love them all my moms my dads and both of my bonus parents. For her to say she jas wanted to curse Nell from when she was a kid is an odd statement. She never said Nell abused or nothing that would make a person have that type of vitriol. Also I am a person that want to hear a whole story and Chris and Nell have not provided an entire account or their perspective. Once they state their perception I will do what I always do and pary for them all to heal. My husband has children and divorced his wife years ago. The mother of the two children raised his kids saying your daddy left us for her made a new family your daddy ain't paying child support etc. The her is not me for the record. He had to show my step children where he paid child support the entire time as well as explain all the times she refused to allow them to see him. They are grown now and one of them was telling me one day about it all. This kid shared that they couldn't rebutt the evidence of child support and was originally skeptical about the mother refusing to allow dad access until the mother when the kids were grown pitted the two children against one another and it was just a big mess and a lot of drama. Now both kids still love their mother. That's unconditional but the way in which they has set boundaries in their personal lives and relationships as it pertains to her because they never knew that she had that type selfishness in her it's pretty amazing to see. I stay out of it and simply say we can't pick our parents and live them while you got them because we all die.
The crazy thing is I feel like she is more hurt than her mom. Momma done moved on and got her a new man…. Meanwhile her child out here hurt still and jealous of her siblings. Bless her heart

IMO Lexi speaking from her experience growing up and Chris not getting her with his new family. Not having 50/50 custody and not fighting to see her. She wanted Chris more involved in her life. Like the mom said she had to drive her to see Chris not Chris coming to see her. She was Chris first kid. She wanted what he did for his other kids.
According to her mom Neil was a sidechick. Calling her home while she was married to Chris come on. Chris was a cheater that's why he cheated on Neil too.
I bet she regrets having mom on now cause mom is pretty much clearing up 15-20mins of lies. Even the look mom gave when she mentioned being in therapy since she was 14 😂. Girl have you been lying since you were 14 too?
This! All while acting like she’s over it, and fine. Damage is caused when you fill your child’s head with “this is what they should do for you”. If Chris is a “bad parent”, then her Mom should have spoken to the Fletcher’s and protected her child until things changed.

IMO Lexi is still hurt and she speaks from a hurt place. And bc of that I take everything she says with a grain of salt. She's bitter. In one breathe she says "I don't know these ppl" then in the next goes on to tell us about them. She said I don't have dinners with them, then proceeded to name several times she was at dinner with them. She said she don't know Chris like that and NEVER spent time with him, then goes on to contradict that. Her mom even gave examples of them spending time together. The mom talked about them being at each other's house, picking up Neills son taking them places. The girl is out to make the Fletchers look bad. Lexi said she didn't know they hated her but if she's honest with herself SHE HATES THEM as well. She said she wanted to curse Neill out since a little girl. SHE HATES THEM. I do believe Everything her mom said tho. And I don't believe she was coming from a spiteful place.
Hello love. I’ve NEVER spent time with Chris alone. Please listen before you comment. The little I know about them is what I shared. I don’t deny they’ve been apart of my life here and there but ultimately they were not present for most of my life. I would never say I hate them but I do understand and see now, that they didn’t care about me😕 it’s fine if you don’t believe me or care for my truth BUT the only thing I gained from this interview is peace and the only intention I had was to share who I truly am with the world and not allow the commenters to have a negative view of my mother or who I am🩷
Hello Teatalks Lexis mom here. It’s very tough to sum up a lifetime in an hour but this was an opportunity to share her side. You are correct, she is still very hurt but this hurt differs from the other hurts. She has spent time with them, but it was so sporadic I can probably can count the visits and occasions myself. Therapy is our friend and she’s getting it to heal and be a more healthy Lexi. I appreciate your kindness.
I disagree with your assessment, but of course we are all entitled to our own opinions. If you really paid close attention to Lexi, you could tell that she actually has love for the Fletchers, and yes she is obviously hurt by them (because she has love for them), but "bitter", I don't think so. If she was bitter, she really could have said a lot worse about them than she did, imo, but she did not. I actually think she spared them. Based upon what Lexi (and her mom said), it is clear to me now why the Fletchers take it real easy on Martell and his shenanigans. Just saying.

You CAN be around someone for years and NOT know them. Why is this so hard for so many adults to find the compassion and understanding for Lexi’s situation, without judgement? The reality is, there are MORE Lexi’s in this world, and in this comment section, so it’s mind blowing the lack of concern and compassion she has received. It’s no wonder why so many young Black girls and women are ANGRY and hurt because the adults in their lives are forever invalidating, minimizing, shaming, and dismissing their feelings.

Check this out, Lexis was 2 years old when her parents divorced.Its so clear she got all this negatively from her mother. A seed of bitterness was sown in her when she was young and now its affecting her mental health.
She's talking about her experience with them. It's not about her mother. It sounds like her mom has had hope for a relationship with them. Kids know when they're being slighted.
I don't think she's bitter about her parents being together. I think she's hurt because she really wants a relationship with her Dad. Even now, I see and hear more hurt than bitterness. She talks a good game, but she loves and wants a relationship with her Dad. I totally believe and respect the Mom

This is a classic case of grown folks discussing grown folks business with their children. The mom over time talked to her daughter about her & Chris relationship in grave detail. No way a 2 year old will even remember much about things that happened at that age. Adults have to stop doing this to their children.
My heart goes out to her. Family will do the craziest stuff to each other, but at the end of the day, each of them should always want to protect each other's hearts.

Yes I agree. I think mom got this way over time. She seems to have just started accepting her and her ex's relationship but the damage to her daughter's psyche was done from the time her daughter was young. Maybe mom's bitterness in the initial stages was passed on to her daughter. Those seeds are tough to dig up.
That's the part that the nice mama has to take accountability for. It was when the nice mama said " Lexi always was the grass is greener on the other side" that spoke volumes because if everything was so good under moms roof Lexi wouldn't fight or feel left out of the Fletchers mess up life according to double talking Lexi. I had a father who didn't do what he was supposed to do for me and was also a philanderer, but I understand that was not his wife's fault (stepmom).....it was solely my dad's fault. Stepmoms easily become scapegoats; trust and believe if a woman can't stop her man from cheating, she has no control to stop him from having a relationship with his daughter. The first step in healing, imo, is put blame where it belongs (in this case with the father), and begin the healing process. It's cliche, but true, harboring anger and resentment only hurts the person holding on to that stuff.

#TeamLexi I can resonate with her entire story. I’m going through this exact thing right now. I teared up when her mom said she recognized her broken daughter because I have gone to my mom the same way after a falling out. The difference is I’m on that with them if I ever see them again

So proud of Lexi!! So many black families have this curse ~ If they don't want people to talk, they shouldn't give anything to talk about. You can clearly tell she enjoys being in a place of unforgiveness, bitterness and negativity. Its not fair to rob her kids of a relationship with the Fletchers because they are going to want to know them. The Fletchers don't look like they are the kind of people that would hurt the kids. You could tell her pain after she responded at the dinner. I've actually been where she is and was concerned and I am so extremely happy for this interview. I pray that she keeps in mind that her dad appears to be trying and I don't think that he hates her and is truly wanting to be there as best he can and to give him some grace. I would be! I picked up on her shenanigans on the show. It was something about her tone and when she said something about setting their home afire. That was the straw that broke the camel’s back for me.

She calls them the”The Fletchers” like they are the family that lives down the street😂… To me her issue is more with “Nell” than Chris. She mad that Nell took her father away from her and her mother. She also mad that she didn’t get the life she feels like Chris children got. I don’t care how much counseling she gets, that will always be an issue for her.
As it should be until he shows her something different. He left her mother, not her, so he should have been an active participant no matter who he is with.

The Mom hsd been in Lexi ear. Just like she was in her ear before coming on camera. She had nothing good to say about Chris, seeming they were high school sweethearts. Lexi is carrying the pain, perhaps her Mother did not display from the dissolve of her marriage. Prime example with inviting the Fletchers to her wedding. Not accepting Christmas gifts. However jumping at the opportunity to showcase their business on T V. The intentional trying to drag the Fletchers was overkill. Lots of bitterness,without hearing both sides. If i was Nell or Chris, i wouldnt address Lexi. What was the point and this sets them back further with building a better relationship.

How does she know how Chris treats his other grandkids if they do not have a relationship or dont talk. He sent gifts to her kids and she sent them back. I’m sure in the two years that he left the family, he didn’t attend any birthday parties. I’m also sure that when his ex-wife was driving to meet him half way from TN, that he wasn’t attending birthday parties and she wasn’t spending Christmas or holidays with them. I’m also sure, when they were living with another family before they got their own, Lexi probably wasn’t there either. So, she didn’t lie. She probably spent one or two birthdays or holidays with them when she was older, but that wasn’t the norm.

Her attitude in this whole interview reeks of insults, jealousy and hurt. Even the way she spoke about her siblings and spilling tea on their situation. I am objective and i can tell Lexi is HURT and i can say this because i can relate to her story but i can also be objective, however when you are TRULY HEALED there are certain things you dont do or say. I do not think that I said in my statement anything about when the mother disclosed anything to her. My position is any adult be it her mother or any other adult that was in her life that fed her any narrative as a child or an adult about a failed relationship is wrong. My mom and dad divorced when I was young. Both remarried both were college educated and professionals. I have never heard neither of my parents aunts uncles friends on both dide say a derogatory word about the other parent. Further I remember when I asked my mom why she and my dad didn't live together and when I got old enough to understand marriage and divorced asked what happen. My mom and dad both said we were young and didnt have no business trying to be married. Do I think there may have been a lot of mess yep do I know the story no do I care no. I have 4 families I love them all my moms my dads and both of my bonus parents. For her to say she jas wanted to curse Nell from when she was a kid is an odd statement. She never said Nell abused or nothing that would make a person have that type of vitriol. Also I am a person that want to hear a whole story and Chris and Nell have not provided an entire account or their perspective. Once they state their perception I will do what I always do and pary for them all to heal. My husband has children and divorced his wife years ago. The mother of the two children raised his kids saying your daddy left us for her made a new family your daddy ain't paying child support etc. The her is not me for the record. He had to show my step children where he paid child support the entire time as well as explain all the times she refused to allow them to see him. They are grown now and one of them was telling me one day about it all. This kid shared that they couldn't rebutt the evidence of child support and was originally skeptical about the mother refusing to allow dad access until the mother when the kids were grown pitted the two children against one another and it was just a big mess and a lot of drama. Now both kids still love their mother. That's unconditional but the way in which they has set boundaries in their personal lives and relationships as it pertains to her because they never knew that she had that type selfishness in her it's pretty amazing to see. I stay out of it and simply say we can't pick our parents and live them while you got them because we all die.

IMO Lexi is still hurt and she speaks from a hurt place. And bc of that I take everything she says with a grain of salt. She's bitter. In one breathe she says "I don't know these ppl" then in the next goes on to tell us about them. She said I don't have dinners with them, then proceeded to name several times she was at dinner with them. She said she don't know Chris like that and NEVER spent time with him, then goes on to contradict that. Her mom even gave examples of them spending time together. The mom talked about them being at each other's house, picking up Neills son taking them places. The girl is out to make the Fletchers look bad. Lexi said she didn't know they hated her but if she's honest with herself SHE HATES THEM as well. She said she wanted to curse Neill out since a little girl. SHE HATES THEM.

I don’t deny they’ve been apart of my life here and there but ultimately they were not present for most of my life. Hello Teatalks Lexis mom here. It’s very tough to sum up a lifetime in an hour but this was an opportunity to share her side. You are correct, she is still very hurt but this hurt differs from the other hurts. She has spent time with them, but it was so sporadic I can probably can count the visits and occasions myself. Therapy is our friend and she’s getting it to heal and be a more healthy Lexi. I appreciate your kindness.

I disagree with your assessment, but of course we are all entitled to our own opinions. If you really paid close attention to Lexi, you could tell that she actually has love for the Fletchers, and yes she is obviously hurt by them (because she has love for them), but "bitter", I don't think so. If she was bitter, she really could have said a lot worse about them than she did, imo, but she did not. I actually think she spared them. Based upon what Lexi (and her mom said), it is clear to me now why the Fletchers take it real easy on Martell and his shenanigans. Just saying.

Check this out, Lexis was 2 years old when her parents divorced.Its so clear she got all this negatively from her mother. A seed of bitterness was sown in her when she was young and now its affecting her mental health.

She seems to have just started accepting her and her ex's relationship but the damage to her daughter's psyche was done from the time her daughter was young. Maybe mom's bitterness in the initial stages was passed on to her daughter. Those seeds are tough to dig up.
That's the part that the nice mama has to take accountability for. It was when the nice mama said " Lexi always was the grass is greener on the other side" that spoke volumes because if everything was so good under moms roof Lexi wouldn't fight or feel left out of the Fletchers mess up life according to double talking Lexi. I had a father who didn't do what he was supposed to do for me and was also a philanderer, but I understand that was not his wife's fault (stepmom).....it was solely my dad's fault. Stepmoms easily become scapegoats; trust and believe if a woman can't stop her man from cheating, she has no control to stop him from having a relationship with his daughter. The first step in healing, imo, is put blame where it belongs (in this case with the father), and begin the healing process. It's cliche, but true, harboring anger and resentment only hurts the person holding on to that stuff.

So proud of Lexi!! So many black families have this curse ~ If they don't want people to talk, they shouldn't give anything to talk about. MANY not all, yet MANY of our elders left us NOTHING to respect or pass down to our legacies yet take issue with being cut off and left alone to watch everyone transition around them as they chase the delusion of gaslighting themselves to avoid the shame and guilt along with being accountable for their irresponsible and selfish choices and behavior that created the children and the broken family structure. My mother is a lot like Nell and my father enables her narcissism. I believed her the day ROASTED them at the family dinner. The scapegoat is usually the only one telling the truth. 🎯

You can clearly tell she enjoys being in a place of unforgiveness, bitterness and negativity. Its not fair to rob her kids of a relationship with the Fletchers because they are going to want to know them. The Fletchers don't look like they are the kind of people that would hurt the kids. If Lexis talked about me the way she talks about the Fletcher, I won't want to have a relationship with her either. She comes off very toxic and needs deep therapy.

You could tell her pain after she responded at the dinner. I've actually been where she is and was concerned and I am so extremely happy for this interview. I pray that she keeps in mind that her dad appears to be trying and I don't think that he hates her and is truly wanting to be there as best he can and to give him some grace. I am certain that at some point, things will get better, whether it happens when your children have grown up or prayerfully before then . Life is too short and God always is forgiving of us. I would be! I picked up on her shenanigans on the show. It was something about her tone and when she said something about setting their home afire. That was the straw that broke the camel’s back for me.

She calls them the”The Fletchers” like they are the family that lives down the street😂… To me her issue is more with “Nell” than Chris. She mad that Nell took her father away from her and her mother. She also mad that she didn’t get the life she feels like Chris children got. I don’t care how much counseling she gets, that will always be an issue for her.
As it should be until he shows her something different. He left her mother, not her, so he should have been an active participant no matter who he is with.

The Mom hsd been in Lexi ear. Just like she was in her ear before coming on camera. She had nothing good to say about Chris, seeming they were high school sweethearts. Lexi is carrying the pain, perhaps her Mother did not display from the dissolve of her marriage. Prime example with inviting the Fletchers to her wedding. Not accepting Christmas gifts. However jumping at the opportunity to showcase their business on T V. The intentional trying to drag the Fletchers was overkill. Lots of bitterness,without hearing both sides.
