BIG DESERT - VICTORIA // I GET 3 FLAT TYRES!! - EP. 64

- Cousin Mick and I in this trip make our way through The Big Desert Wilderness Park, North-Western Victoria. Starting in the South near the town of Rainbow we slowly bounce up and down through the sand dune country. We come across another vehicle that has been stuck for over 24 hours, Blown Diff, Tyre off the bead and in a spot of bother. Hot 33 degree sun shining down, not the best situation for these blokes. We lend a few litres of water and a couple of cold cans of coke, but not too much more we can do. They had phone service back up on the last hill just in case. We press on with our adventure and enjoy the beautiful Big Desert. We give BIG DUNE a crack before making camp in the bush and settle for steak and veggies for dinner. The following morning we run into our own set of troubles when I get 3 Flat tyres!!

Bit of a gongshow getting 3 flat tyres. I'm assuming you won't buy the wildpeaks again?
The Wildpeaks are great. I actually tried to get them again but couldn’t where I was. I think it was really bad luck hitting some pretty stiff spikes. I think it was a case no matter what brand I had.

I’ve heard that the wild peaks are a great tyre but have soft sidewalls 🤷🏻♂️ great that you made it back safely.

I have Falkens on my 200 and have done 80,000 ks and still have 9mm of tread and mostly towing 3T, they are a great tyre and will buy them again.
They’re a great tyre and was happy with them. They’re super quiet on the road. I must have just hit one too many sharp tree roots.
