    This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my TH-cam channel 8 months ago about self development. Now I have 895 subs and > 700 hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.

    Thanks for sharing this video and your journey! I started a sewing channel a few weeks ago. Nothing viral yet, but I was thrilled to have my first 50 subs!

    Thanks for sharing all this info so transparently. Very valuable to hear you go through it. I have been following your journey on TH-cam since early days and it's so cool to see your channel grow and develop!

    Basically what I got out of this is, if someone is posting videos on TH-cam for the money it isn’t worth the time and effort. However if it is to share and help others with their journey it is truly a blessing to those that need it. I appreciate the information, time and invaluable skills you and others like share. Thank you very much. I appreciate your time and effort to share them.

    Thanks for this! I've been trying to grow my channel for the past eight months (-ish) and it can indeed be quite discouraging. I decided to quit multiple times, but picked up the camera again because I enjoy making the videos so much. I hope you'll get where you want to be!

    It was that December video where I found you. I had spent the year trying to make my own clothes and feeling like a failure. Thank you for the video and I’m now continuing to make my own clothing along with household items and decorations.

    I loved this! I love that it wasn't a revenue focused video (although I'm sure that's why people clicked on it), and more about understanding your feelings and reactions to how your videos performed. Loved the lessons learned at the end! Thank you! This was great

    thank you so much for sharing this!! i'm also a small crafting (knitting) channel & i've been posting for a little over 6 months at this point. i'm still not quite at the point of monetizing - need to get those watch hours! - but i always love to see these videos & have an idea of how much i'll be able to make as a small channel! i really appreciate the transparency (plus want to send my encouragement to keep going, i love your videos)!

    Hi Cassie! I’ve been a follower since you started, found you on insta! I find it interesting hearing about the pressures and competitiveness you felt being a creator. It’s so true that your existing content can get picked up later on! Keep at it! ❤
    It would be cool to see you try a vlog or two with knitting or sewing and seeing Montreal :) sometimes those do well.

    Thanks for sharing! I love the way you self reflect and give yourself grace to be imperfect. I love your channel and have for years now and am always looking forward to your new content. I just got a side gig teaching handsewing to kids in their after school program! Hoping it reinvigorates me to keep making and mending. I would love to see more mending content from you! Love from Alaska!

    That is wild that you were creating content for a whole year without any monetization, does that mean you didn’t make any money off it? I had some misconceptions about that it seems 😅

    • @MakingCassie
      @MakingCassie  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep, I did it without making money for a year

  • @drivethrutours1916
    @drivethrutours1916 ปีที่แล้ว

    Do you usually notice a significant difference between the "estimated revenue" figure in your Analytics tab versus how much actually gets deposited in your bank account each month?

    • @MakingCassie
      @MakingCassie  ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s pretty spot on! I guess the difference is that every time you look at it, it’s showing the last 28 days, not from the beginning of the month to the best pay period, so that’s the only real difference

    • @drivethrutours1916
      @drivethrutours1916 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MakingCassie That's interesting. But if you use the "custom" feature in your earnings estimates to search just for the month, does the "Estimated revenue" figure from a particular month reflect what exactly goes into your AdSense balance the following month?

    You’re cute lol, keep up the good work! I’d suggest work on your thumbnails and titles make them a bit more like clickbaity, maybe get someone professional to make them for you, I’m sure you’ll start seeing more improvement then
