  • In this video we meet up with our friend Eric in Montreal, Quebec Canada to give us a hand through the locks. This video keeps it pretty short and sweet. I just hope it helps give you an idea of what its like to experience taking a boat up river via a lock system.

Great video . I have done the Erie Canal 4 times , they have some floating bollards in there as well. Good thing about the Seaway , you can keep your mast up , pita when it on the deck .

We honestly missed you on board. You were a lot of fun. Make sure you tune into the channel. I did some short videos coming up. You're in the next two or three. (I can't remember now)

Waiting one or two hours is good, it can easily be 6 or 7. Get your nav lights ready, we cam came downriver- last lock cleared at 8pm in the dark

Loved your video as always! Did you get to visit Montreal (beyond the parts store for the engine)?
Are there any charges for passing the locks?
Many thanks for the hours of work and sharing the episodes.

Unfortunately, we didn't really do anything fun in Montreal. It was all work, no play. But it was good to get fuel, propane, and parts. There is a charge for using the locks. Morgan took care of it by paying online. I don't remember exactly what it cost. But somewhere in the ball park of $250.

Who needs a yoga model when you have Miss Morgan aboard?

And to think back in the day the Meeicans told Quebec that they will never be able to accomplish building the saint Lawrence seaway and its lock system. I guess because they weren't able to, .

You have your new pump wired to the wrong place. If you wire it to the battery or a large lead from the battery or even the large terminal on your starter that will correct your amp gauge fluctuation. There is a small chance that your amp guage isn't wired to the correct place also. That's my best advice without seeing it. Hope this helps!
You have one hot lady, all you need is more hot ladies equals more views for sure...............LOL
Great to see the lock in action. You are brave taking that route for sure!

Hey thanks for the advise on the volt gauge. I corrected it by having the gauge take the volts from my chart plotter instead of the ignition switch. I want my pump to go to the ignition so that when the engine is on so is the pump. But I needed to move the voltage gauge off that circuit.
