This is 2020 and I’m still watching V...I was 8 years old in 1983. Mike Donovan was always my favorite character and then when you put Ham in...what a great combo!
I was 7 back then in 1983, and it was scary when it first came out because it seemed like it was real and the whole world was tuned in. I'm watching it for the first time now and I'm like, this isn't too scary. It's kind of like watching an episode of The A-Team, but with alien visitors instead as the bad guys. I only wish the women in the V Series still looked like they did back then because I'm single and never been married and would enjoy a fun and mature date.
Just re watched the series last night... 40 years later and i still could remember lines ... i must have worn out those vhs tapes i got off the tv back then. And the show really aged well and it was fun to watch just like back then. Thank you Marc Singer, I'll never forget Mike Donovan, a true hero of my childhood
Absolute 80s awesomeness as a kid age 9 I can remember when this show came to England. When Mike Donovan sneaked aboard the transporter into the mothership and he was in the vent and the visitor took out his eyes and put them into the glass and those terrifying eyes was revealed, that scared the scrap out of me.
That show twisted my noodle as a kid when that lizard baby popped out. Scared crap outa me.. Mark also played on Beastmaster. Got me calling to birds and running around like Tarzan. Those were the good ole simple days.. Thanks Mark and all.
Scared the crap out of me, too. When I got older and started playing D&D I had Vroo, Shaddock and my 2 ferret bandits Kodo and Podo as animal companions.
Brilliant. I adored V when it first aired here in Ireland in 1984. I was 14. Flipping through the channels recently, the Syfy channel was showing it. I was so delighted. Great show. I recorded all the episodes and enjoyed even more.
I was 17 when the original V min-series aired in the UK in 1983. I just remember it being a massive deal and causing a lot of excitement at the time. It was a great show and still stands up today.
@@actorben Me, I liked Robert Englund as Willie. Maybe partlie because of the way Englund had played his trouble with the English language. and Willie´s mild mannered but brave ways Still the berst scene with him was the Christmas episode were Willie had been so rough treated. Also it was a fine example of Civil Courage in the best style of the movie CASABLANCA. What I talk about? Compare on TH-cam the two Clips: 1) V-The Visitors 1983 Original serie; put on the Net by Rossiemantegna ( I gues Rossimantegna got a bit confused here; that was from the series in 1984) 2) The Anathem scene from CASABLANCA: Casablanca La Marseillaise; put on the Net by CortoMaltese86
Very polite and well mannered in his interviews he is not rude to his fans always pleasant to them. You could tell in this interview that he enjoyed doing V and talking about it after all these years, a very enjoyable and interesting insight from Marc Singer.
Oh yes the 80's were the best in everything. Movies, shows, and music. They are suppose to make a V movie for the big screen. I hope it still happens although I'm sure the pandemic might have delayed it some. But I hope they make the movie and it's suppose to be a trilogy if the first film does well which I'm sure it will.
I wish the interview hadn't cut off quite so suddenly. I could really relate to that last interviewer, who stated he used to play Mike Donovan during recess, because I too used to be Mike when we'd play V in the schoolyard.
Thanks for this upload. Nice to see Marc Singer looking in good health in his later years now. Will always remember V The miniseries. Did not think much to the series spin off, thought the miniseries was far better. There has always been something sci-fi out there to help me through and to latch on. When I was a kid, started with Dr Who, then came V, to help me get through school, and the best thing was, I didn't have to wait a week and survive another week in school for the next episode, as it showed all five parts from Monday through Friday. Thanks for the memories, Marc. After V by the way, came The X - Files, more supernatural/sci fi than just sci fi, but there's always been something.
I have every V episode ever made, and I watch them still to this day...I've even created action figures of the original characters..This man by far is my favorite made for television sci-fi classic hero.. Still
I like Marc he seems legitimately excited about all of his projects regardless of what they are. He is happy to be in the career he chose. He is down to earth and always has time for his fans. He doesn't mind talking V and Beastmaster even though they were made thirty something years ago. He says you get into acting it's not a punishment to get remembered for something...that's why you get into this in the first place. Most don't get remembered for anything.
I didn't see V when it originally aired. A friend had a VHS tape of the miniseries and I saw it at his house in the 90s. I had such a crush on the Mike Donovan character.
the way he sounded when he was younger in the V show i always imagined him voicing a character in transformers G1. he had like the perfect cartoon voice
