Hi Mert! Thanks for your message. Actually, the analogy that Serkong Rinpoche is one that is traditionally used. Buddhism has three "jewels" that we take refuge in: the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha. It is said that the Buddha is like a doctor, who diagnoses our illness (suffering), the Dharma is the medicine that can cure the illness, and the Sangha are the nurses who help us on the way to full health (enlightenment).
