You really can tell that Tom is in a better place in his life now, you can hear it in his singing. Keane is definitely coming into their own place in musical history, finally. Can't wait to see them live again!
They've gotten a lot better live. I heard them live a couple years ago and they didn't sound all that good but they've come a long way. They sound great now.

Their style has really changed alot since their earlier albums. Used to be more of a Coldplay-type piano-rock band, now they have more of a guitar pop feel. Mind you, I'm not complaining. I don't like bands that write the same song over and over again.
I agree that he seemed rather nervous, and his voice more edgy. They probably had time constraints to work with. They rushed the "do you wanna be.." segment, which is the best part imho. I must say though that I love how he says "we spiralling..'. Didn't think he could sound more English, but there ya go! I almost wish he would do it more often. :D
maybe you're right. I also felt that when I saw them live last november. but I think it's because it's different from what we are used to from them. but I felt that you said more with "Better than this". It seemed like Mika. But good anyway :)
the performance just seems more rigid and jumpy than usual. plus tom is singing more staccato and is cutting off his syllables. i think the problem is they're trying to speed the song up or something. oh well, keane is still great, and i love them for trying new things.

Keane aren't as big in here in America as they are in the UK, but they still sell alot of records here.
This is definately one of their best songs ... hope it opens Keane up to even more people
