    Hi, welcome to ShuoshuoChinese 说说中文; my name is Shuo, I’m a native Chinese teacher living in Bangkok, Thailand, I’ve been teaching Chinese as a foreign language for seven years and I’m also a language learner.
    In this channel, I will upload a weekly video, in which I talk about Chinese vocabulary, Chinese grammar, Chinese culture, Chinese stories with pinyin and the English translation for listening practice.
    With my channel, you can easily start to learn and understand complicated Chinese grammar, sentence structure, and differences/nuances between similar Chinese words.
    If you are a Chinese beginner, I’m planning to upload videos about what Chinese language is, how it differs from English, Chinese pronunciations, Chinese characters and Chinese stroke sequences and a mini Chinese course, (10 minutes per day), which can help you learn quickly and easily. Don’t miss it!
    So, subscribe to my channel and start your Chinese learning journey!

    新年快乐!🎆🍾️🥂
    Just FYI-I have some Chinese friends who have studied other languages as well as English. They said that in many ways, English has been the hardest language because of the different definitions. “Chinese is so much more exact”. I laughed when they said that and shared a few pages from my Chinese and Calligraphy notebooks. I had over a page of definitions for 1 word, one character. This is also why I strongly advise anyone getting a tattoo of Chinese characters to CHECK WITH A NATIVE SPEAKER FIRST! It’s still the most fun I’ve ever had learning another language! I may not spend as much time as I should studying and practicing-but BOY it feels SO good when I watch Everlasting Classics and actually recognize a Li Bai poem I have hanging on my fridge! (OR watch a movie and each time, I understand a little more!)

    • @ShuoshuoChinese
      @ShuoshuoChinese  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      哈哈,我觉得他们说的“exact”是说的中文语法,中文词汇是真的很难😅But that’s what makes the language beautiful

    Shuoshuo, I see that you are brilliant and you do an amazing job of teaching Chinese in an understanding manner. I appreciate this very much. However, I see and hear too that you are in need of some tender loving ESL, as well. There are plenty of times when you render the English translations of the Chinese sentences there are missing prepositions, the improper form of adjective and adverbs which leave the meaning odd. Each time I want to stop and respond right then with what I've just experienced. But, I don't because it would be too disruptive in my own learning process and I wouldn't learn much, wasting too much of my time wanting to correct you all and not focusing well enough on what I'm supposed to be doing. My name is Reggie and I'm 71 learning Chinese and 17 other languages besides Chinese. English is my first language. I had two very strong English teachers in middle-school. They drummed English into our minds such that I can't stop hearing all of the missteps of others, even English speakers, get wrong when they butcher the language. If you wish, because really, I've got nothing but time, I can point out those obvious situations when there is a misspoken or missed item from your lessons that would help to form the proper English sentences? I don't mean to be unduly critical. But I feel if you are putting out all of that energy to help us, I can reciprocate and help you too. I did that with an Italian young lady and she got upset, and accused me of being an arrogant American. There is no arrogance involved, just the courtesy of giving back what I'm being given. I know that much of your work is years old. But it's all new to me. I'm experiencing it in the here and now. Because, I just started this voyage a few short weeks ago.
