    Of the hundreds of videos out there, yours offers the most realistic, down to earth evaluation of the ZX4RR. I picked one up a few months ago and absolutely love it, but it's definitely not a city commuter. It's great as a second bike you use for the sheer joy of blasting down a windy road.

      Not a commuter? Why, because of comfort?

    • @zaphod4prez
      @zaphod4prez 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@vonStalhein2 Oddly, it could make a decent freeway commuter. It's got good wind protection, is skinny for lane splitting, and is really planted against crosswinds. In the city, the riding position, though not extreme, would get tiresome after a while. You'd also be doing a lot of shifting through the gears. On the plus side for city riding, the low seat height helps when stopping on uneven pavement.

    The black one looks way better in person than the pictures make you think if the green is too loud for you. I love mine. I put the green rim decals on it to match the green rear shock and I'm happy with it. Quickshifter is the same for me, it's happier with throttle than it is driving normal traffic speeds. Only other thing I'd recommend for people getting one is to leave the exhaust alone for a while. A slip-on is crazy loud on this thing because you're always revving and shifting. It can be annoying having it scream at all times.

    • @RickChardet

    Here in US we get the watered down version with around 55 hp, once flash tuned it jumps up 20 more hp and is a giant killer if you ride it like a 125 two stroke. Its much more fun than 2 cyl Ninja 400 - 500 and a lot smoother vibration wise and the sound is 100 times better. Fun bike, handles great, looks great and with just a slip on and tune its a keeper!😎

    Great video Rick! Your production quality and review are on point again! I actually had mostly the same thoughts after my short 20-30 minute test ride 2 months ago. Indeed it feels very special with the high redline and the inline 4 noises and it rides really well, and all whilst somewhat adhering to speed limits. But in the end it is indeed just an expensive toy. The downsides for me were also mostly the ergonomics due to the seat. The jerky quick shifter I could live with, but the seat profile just absolutely sucks, especially for us at 6 foot tall. It is similar to why I did not like to ride my old Kawasaki 650 on the track as much, because I could not stay in a comfortable track position because of the ergonomics. Admittedly, you could probably fix that relatively easy with an aftermarket seat, but for 11k EUR I would have expected such a minor thing not to be an issue. Did I buy one after the test ride? No. But would I buy one if I had the money to spare for an additional (track) toy? 100% yes! I think a full track-prep ZX-4RR would be one of the most fun bikes to ride on track, hands down! Would it be the fastest? No, of course not! But as long as you are only driving on the track for fun, those few seconds that you lose on the straight don't matter! And what's better than being overtaken on the straight by a 600 or 1000 supersport, only to just overtake them right back in the braking zone or the first few corners? But that might just be me

    After long research this is my dream bike, perfect starter bike: it has the looks, double headlights look great, 400cc performance is great, yet not too crazy, but best part is the beautiful sound it produces, I have also been looking at used bikes like Honda CBR 600F4i and other ones, and kinda bouncing between weather to get like Ninja 400 as one of best option for new starter bike or old but awesome sounding one, and ZX4RR is basically Ninja 400, but 4 cylinder, only downside is it's slightly steeper price.

      @@BOBAABAILEY I ride the sheet out of my CF Moto 450SS, I will go the 12,000 rpm then hit the over rev at 14,000 rpm redlining it hitting twisties at 75+ mph. Not a fair weather straight line rider here all weather Wisconsin rider. I have even passed an R1 in twisties cause guy was afraid to lean it, and get on that throttle. The way he was riding he wasn't winning races either. He beat me in straight away, but I had him in every twisty. Until you throw down on these bikes your all caps opinion means squat bro. Just saying.
