We had a live stream ready to go out and 10 minutes before it went in the production man said to me I can see all your information on your screen such as shutter speed all the normal icons that you get on the back of the camera including the levelling icon. I tried switching it off but I didn’t know how to get rid of them all together in the end I turned to TH-cam in a panic and found this video. Scanning quickly through it I found a place where you told us how to turn it off you SAVED MY BACON!!!
i have sony alpha S and elgato 60s and micro hdmi to hdmi also hdmi to hdmi cable and i plug everything , elgato lights up but thats all camera is not found on any obs or elgato program :((
I just got the Sony A73 to work as Webcam with just USB connection. Use the Sony computer software and preview your camera video. Now on OBS just add screen capture. You will have to crop and move some of your screen capture though. A capture card works much better though.

DUDE!!!!!! I couldn't find anyone to tell me how to get the camera settings of the stream ... so i went a whole different route for a whole year ( sling studio) ... I had a USB capture card on the self that whole time. Moving from Sling studio and ODS now to Vmix, i finally wanted to stream with my sony A7iii ... You solve a year long issue lol. Hey noticed this wasn’t answered and thought I’d help out. You just need to buy a “dummy battery charger kit”. If you look on amazon they sell them for $30 and under. You just plug this battery into the camera and then plug the adapter in and you’re good to go. If you’re unsure what dummy battery to get than just TH-cam your camera model and see which one works best. Hope this helps!

Quick question: After 30 minutes my sony a7iii goes into standby mode which making my recording screen dark, after which I have to turn my camera manually on, so when I try to make a recording/interview >30 minutes, is the only option to stand up and press the focus button? Or is there another way to keep the screen active.

Does anyone have suggestions on continuous power for the A7III? Charging via USB-C while using the camera overheats the camera pretty quickly from what I've heard. There isn't an OEM dummy battery (other than the $400 one that's also a four battery charger) like I used for the A7SII. Does anyone have experience with the third party dummy batteries? IDK if I trust those, I'm paranoid they can fry my camera haha. Any help is appreciated!
On the CAM-Link device: I'm seeing videos of folks connecting just a Micro-USB to the Sony Alpha III and to an iMac's USB port (?) I also have a RodeCaster DUO connected to a Shure SM7B mic (the DUO is connected to my iMac). Very confusing situation... It was my understanding that with the Rodecaster DUO you do not need a CAM-Link though have no clue how that's related to the video feed coming from the camera since the DUO isn't connected to the camera except for an optional stereo plug in from the DUO (?) Any help would be appreciated.

I just set up a Sony NEX-F3 with a video capture card, however, it appears that there is no way to get a clean HDMI feed. Is there simply no option to stream the picture only with this model? It's one year too old for Sony's webcam feature, so I have to go via web card. Thanks!

I understand I can flip the image using OBS. I'm not familiar with OBS. If I use it to flip my live stream image, can I still use it through Zoom with the flipped image?
