It is not just buyers it is inflation and automakers especially FORD tacking on the higher prices to try and recoup some of the serious money losses occurred from their failed bid to go all in on EV's. It really sucks because to have to pass on losses due to your mistake not knowing what the customers wanted was a real Dick Move on their part. Then you have customers wanting ever more features added. The biggest part though is inflation, but if you listen close to Jim Farley part of his strategy to get out of their mess 120 grand per EV sold loss by selling the gassers so basically passing on their failures to the customers. For that I hope Ford goes belly up for all I care they should have known EV's were not going to replace combustion.

I was told I need awd cause it snows maybe 6-8 times a year here in Chicago. My insurance cost me $90 a month, I dont go to work when it snows, I can fit 2 great danes in the back seat and my payment is very affordable and I average 38mpg. At the end of the day I love my car and im not car/truck poor

So I have a 2023 Ram 1500 that I bought for $50,000 and within the first year and 10k miles it gets totaled. My insurance is suppose to pay the price minus my deductible for a replacement equivalently equipped truck and some even go so far as to say up to 1 model year newer.
