Although, if needed you can sideload any app including the full play store. However, this box can't bypass DRM for 4k HDR for the major apps. Essentially it only good for Kodi and there are plenty of boxes that would work just fine for a third of the cost

Hi Manu Yes it will detect read and write data to it. However don't try to convert to shared internal storage it may fail. The largest drive I have is a 4TB HDD that plugged into one of it's USB 3.0 ports and it works.
The AM6B-Plus is more powerful hardware for gaming, and the AM7 is more recent in hardware and firmware but not as powerful. I am doing an up date video on the AM7 tonight after their big update.
From my personal knowledge and experience Dolby vision never works with apps that are not Google certified, and I believe the same will apply for the tivimate apk. I could be wrong but I have other premium APK is that provide streams of 4K HDR with Dolby Atmos, and I would never see any of the features activating on my TV from these APKs. The only time I get these features activating, is when I either play a self hosted video file and I will usually get HDR, or I play Netflix well I would get Dolby Atmos and Dolby vision.
Serious question - If all someone is looking to do is stream IPTV, will this work any better than a 4K fire stick? Bottom line, is it worth the extra money? As always, thanks for your thorough reviews!
The ease at which you can do it is much better on this box than on a fire-stick. Not to mention you have faster processing power, more RAM DDR4 that improves performance and promotes less buffering.
4k fire stick could not handle fhd iptv ..for me and by experiance ( i tested fire tv stick / mibox / h96..) the best is mecool km2 ( good stability in wifi and processor is good )

Hi Seth there A95X F3 air or the upgraded model the X3 Pro S905X3. I am currently doing the X4 Pro S905X4 but due to it's firmware the A95X F3 air or the X3 pro would be right for you pricewise and features.
There should be no problems with that TV. But I have seen boxes not work on certain TV's due to lack of coding. SO it could be that Vizio was not coded into that box you are using.
I have the Am6b plus that you mentioned,but no where is my geekbench 5 test in the range that you said. My Single core score was 293 and multi core was 971. I ran the test in non root Mode.do i have to do something Else to achive the scores you got? Also i am running firmware Version 0.4.2
A little tip close all apps running in the background. I use Geekbench 4, not Geekbench 5. Version 5 is more intensive developed for 64 bit systems and gives you a lower score.

I am not sure about that only to say this box has an auto resolution switch. Maybe that will solve your issue. You best chance is with a Ugoos box for the most Advance display features.
I got thé ugoos AM6 plus. As we Can see in your review, dolby Vision IS corrupted with VLC. It IS still a pain in the ass to use media player to both display dolby vision & true HD atmos ( movies have to be in m2ts format) . MP4 format cant support DV & lossless audio ( dts-hd or dolby true HD)
Bob I assume you've tried the Kodi DV build on Android? This works for DV in MKV for me (a bit unstable sometimes) but not with lossless audio bitstream. I get white noise and cutting out of the audio when I try to use it. Neither Kodi IEC packer or Android IEC packer work. Is that your experience? In CoreElec I can get lossless audio including Atmos passthrough but no DV :(

So that means you are using the AV port on those boxes. Well most of them don't work to output video mostly audio. What you need to do is use an HDMI to RCA adapter and your issues are over. It cost just $13 on Amazon. search for "HDMI to RCA adapter" the first Amazon choice square box will be good.

Compared to the Nvidia Shield the shield it better in hardware and performance and Google certified. However for mobile Android OS, root access, and full Google playstore the AM6 is better.

No it can't outperform the Nvidia Shield Pro hardware benchmarks, but if you want the best box running on the full mobile version of Android then this is it.
Without Android 10 or 11 this already makes this box obsolete in my opinion. At that price it should match up to Nvidea Shield... not agreeing with your point on this box. Sorry.
Ugoos almost never upgrades to the latest Android version. The update all the time improving their current firmware but not the next Android version. Amlogic S922X I believe was not designed for Android 11 that's why they launched the AM7 plus running on the Amlogic S905X4 that is designed for Android 11. It's like PC hardware certain hardware is designed for certain version of Windows.
Hi, anyone having problems with this unit. Everytime I change quality on TH-cam 480 to 1080 the screen always change to 4:3. I try to change the display still not getting any luck. If anyone know how to set the display please share . Thank you
Yes I just tried it and using the Android TV version it jumps to the home screen. I uninstalled that version and installed the version on the play store which is the mobile version that can now play in 4K HDR and it works perfectly without issues.

When ads on the screen displaying with 4:3 and after that the main video running with 16:9 480 but when I change to 1080 and fast forward, it change to 4:3. $200 for an Android box that has 4 gigabytes of ram and 32 gigabytes of storage, you can get a Samsung Galaxy S10 Refurbished version for the same price with much better specs and you will have Samsung Dex, the best interface for Android.

Update to the latest firmware. Keep updating until it says you are currently up to date. Then in the settings there will be an adaptive HDR function.

With Kodi you get all the audio formats including True HD. However Kodi cannot play the videos with .ts format

No unless your TV remote has IR learning. HDMI CEC works to turn off you TV when the box does. I tested it on LG works very well.

Compared to the Nvidia Shield the shield it better in hardware and performance and Google certified. However for mobile Android OS, root access, and full Google playstore the AM6 is better.
I rather spend my money on a tanggula box 👍

С джойстиками сложно работать. Я использую геймпад PXN 9607x. Но их так много. Вам также придется использовать раскладку клавиш геймпада для большинства игр с сенсорным экраном.

According to the science it is not possible. I find this very strange but that is what I got during my test.
CoreELEC 19.2 to work with built in Wifi you have to use AM6 dtb from previous version 9.2.7. You need not have to use external wifi adapter.

No it can't outperform the Nvidia Shield Pro hardware benchmarks, but if you want the best box running on the full mobile version of Android then this is it.
Without Android 10 or 11 this already makes this box obsolete in my opinion. At that price it should match up to Nvidea Shield... not agreeing with your point on this box. Sorry.

Ugoos almost never upgrades to the latest Android version. The update all the time improving their current firmware but not the next Android version. Amlogic S922X I believe was not designed for Android 11 that's why they launched the AM7 plus running on the Amlogic S905X4 that is designed for Android 11. It's like PC hardware certain hardware is designed for certain version of Windows.

Hi, anyone having problems with this unit. Everytime I change quality on TH-cam 480 to 1080 the screen always change to 4:3.
I try to change the display still not getting any luck.
If anyone know how to set the display please share .

Yes I just tried it and using the Android TV version it jumps to the home screen. I uninstalled that version and installed the version on the play store which is the mobile version that can now play in 4K HDR and it works perfectly without issues.

When ads on the screen displaying with 4:3 and after that the main video running with 16:9 480 but when I change to 1080 and fast forward, it change to 4:3.
And the other thing when I turn off the box and turn on again, it will change the display.
I think there is bug / problem with the setting display with TH-cam app
I don't know what's happening. Only a firmware update could fix that.

Yes believe me Android 9 is stable because Android 10 and 11 is still a work in progress.
$200 for an Android box that has 4 gigabytes of ram and 32 gigabytes of storage, you can get a Samsung Galaxy S10 Refurbished version for the same price with much better specs and you will have Samsung Dex, the best interface for Android.

Yes it Doe's, there are 4 USB ports on this box, if this box is classed as "upgraded", surely by Any measure of common sense the ports should have been upgraded to ALL USB 3.0 or at the very least split to 2 usb 2.0 and 2 usb 3.0 for user convenience. It is 2021 after all.

I would say they haven't created a suitably upgraded box to better serve user's/ consumer's, i own and enjoy an am6 box (previous version) it has 1 usb 3.0 port, so as a consumer who is being asked to pay quite a large price for this "upgrade" it should have more usb 3.0 ports (at least 2)
