But faction bangboos are even more specific especially if most of the faction members are s rank. For example if theres neps bangboo coming and i only have Zhu Yuan and Qingyi, I cant use the bangboo without them both. Sometimes I question this guy's logic
Brother, do you think the game would ship out a faction-based bangboo without the faction it needs? Of course not. For the elements (specifically Etherboos), it makes sense cause it's an element. It's generalized. We're gonna get more Ether characters in the future. But with faction bangboos, it's specific. like, you ever wonder why there's no Bangboo specifically for S11's faction? Yeah cause she's the only one in it currently. I don't think the game is just gonna ship out a factionboo unless there's already two or more agents from the same faction. I think the game will ship out a NEPS bangboo around Qinyi's release or maybe even between Qinyi and Jane Doe's release
Edit: I forgot to mention, factionboos are also somewhat tied to the presence of the faction in the current main storyline. For example, we have Amilion for chapter 1, Safety for chapter 2 and Butlerboo for chapter 3. But wait, there's the Son of Calydon who already has two agents active, why is there no factionboos for them yet? Because the entirety of the faction is not tied to the story yet. Sure we got NEPS on the Ch 2-Interlude but that's just half of them. There's still more to their faction that we have yet to see and the end of the Interludes hinted that we're gonna encounter Zhu Yuan again in the near future. Prolly with her full squad in a new area and I wouldn't be surprised if that's when they'll release an Enforcerboo
@@Law-of-EnTropy it's not even good for everyone in the faction though, the PubSec bangboo sucks for Zhu Yuan. Resonaboo is much better. So saving for the faction bangboo isn't even worth it
@@TheMightyFraserresonaboo is awful against bosses and if you’re running zhu yuan you’re already using Nicole so no need for more ether anomaly and grouping mobs. The pubsec bangboo will cover the team’s highest flaw which is poor single target burst damage, which is also the reason why Qingyi is the best stunner for this team (high multipliers for single target and insane daze application).
@@Hyejujuba With the numbers we currently have it seems PubSec bangboo will have a lot more damage. 8000 ish base attack with good multipliers and multiple attacks. Other bangboo seem to have around 5k attack at 60.
@@Hyejujubabosses tend to move a lot, and resonaboo stays charging at a fixed place doing damage. I have resonaboo, and against boss stages he’s just not on par with other bangboos due to missing his charging attack quite often.
I have to argue I think getting the element type bangboo is more versatile because eventually ull get bored of playing a single faction team or the characters in it but if u have the element type u can reuse the bangboo even with new characters with the same element type

the exchange shop has an dupe item for the cost of 30 boopins, so that's more reason to get different bangboos with direct pulls instead of same one and have the flexibility to dupe any 5* whenever needed

Isn’t that 1200 booptokens? Or are you taken about the 40 booptokens for 1 boopcoin?
Personally, I just say get all the s-tiers, since getting them isn’t that bad, actually easier since their 100%, and you can just funnel Booptokens into Boopcoins, get that s-tier Combat Bangboo, then repeat. (You get roughtly around 5 boopcoin per week due to Hollow zero, so it’s not going to be too bad.)
If a new one come out, you can always funnel to get that one, or just funnel into that Bangboo and then fuel into other bangboos.
Personally, I don’t think it’s worth trying to funnel into one combat Bangboo:
Like characters, it’s better to have more Combat Bangboos than one really build Bangboo. (Not every Bangboo will fit every team, but some are better than others, especially for your team.)
Choose who you want, and go for them, but like eidolons, their not really worth it, especially for F2P. (The sentiment also really says, since the only different between a e1 combat bangboo, and it’s e0, is it’s dmg, which really doesn’t matter than much :/)
I don't think boopons are that limited; they're awarded in pretty much every event, and are sold in many end game shops whioch are refreshed per month. Hollow zero missions also give you a bunch, and refresh weekly. From starting the game, I was able to pull 2 S rank boos and am a quarter way to a third. I'm guessing you can earn enough for an s rank bang boo probably every patch or 2. I feel like they're going to be handing these out like candy because 1: Bangboos are probably the least impactful thing you can roll for and 2: they can advertise how "generous" they are by giving out so many free "pulls."
they already did this by counting the 80 boopons in release rewards in the "180 pulls" ad
Tbh, yeah, I’ve already gotten 2 s-tier bangboos, and on my way for a 3rd.
I hit hard pity on the first 2, and probably will the third.
I’m I-K 43, and about every week, you get around 4-5 boopcoin from hollow zero, and since each targeted s-tier is 100%, you can just funnel all your coins in for a guaranteed chance of getting your wanted Bangboo.
Combined with events, and other sources, and yeah, they’re basically handing out pulls like candy.
The problem with faction specific bangboos is that theyre even more restrictive when it comes to building comps.
Their kit being geared towards doing higher personal damage rather than providing buffs/debuffs to the team is also a huge turn off (exception to butler). Were not really sure yet how impactful bangboo damage will be in the late game but knowing how strong disorder/anomaly is in this game Id stick to elemental specific ones for now. Unless the dmg it provides is at the very least 10-15% of the overall team damage I dont see it being better than your dps proccing an anomaly/disorder.
In Honkai Impact 3 we have a similar system to this called ELFs and the best ones are those that provides support capabilities like gather/def shred/inflict status/etc rather than the ones that does high dmg.
i got shark for my ellen cause best girl deserves her boo.
sadly the fact the shark puts down a super slow moving trap is garbo.
Bulter seems better, it gives energy, and does the same amount of dmg (not helping with anomaly of course)

i think it's more flexible to use in different teams. Also, Penguinboo is pretty decent alternative to Sharkboo at 5*

To be fair, as long as the new Bangboos aren't limited you should be able to still get them regardless, tho it might take a little longer.
5-star A rank has 3318 ATK vs. 1-star S rank has 4094 ATK for comparison at level 50 bangboos.
Dupes don't increase the BASE stats, but they increase the skill LEVELS. If you look like the skill % of max dupe A rank vs no dupe S rank, you will see A rank comes out ahead, though it is somewhat diminished by a lower base stat.
I leveled every bangboo I dont use to 10/20 because they are the same as the main units, they give free pulls every 20/40/60 level cap
Since starting the game I have somehow been able to get Plugboo, Sharkboo, Butler and two copies of Resonaboo. I really think the rates for Bangboos might be much better than for characters or Wengines.
At this juncture, Resonaboo is the most useful one. There's no guarantee of obtaining Zhu Yuan or other limited Ether units, but a second black hole conjuring Ether unit with great damage from an S-rank pity is better than anything else in the draw pool, especially if you want to get through Shiyu Defence Node 10 and beyond. It fits in with every team with its crowd control and rare element.
*Edit: It can't proc Corruption on its own, I was mixing things up. Still vouch for it regardless.

Just a heads up, Bangboo can accumulate Anomaly Buildup *but* cannot actually proc it. Last hit has to be from one of your Agents
Its grouping is awful, and it also misses a lot of enemies due to not having much range. Damage is okay and CD is one of the highest. Also sucks against bosses and elite enemies bc they can’t be pulled.

Resonaboo is too good not to. It does a ton of damage without 2 eithers and it's grouping is even more amazing for Shiyu Defense.

Got my Resonaboo for grouping and saved 80+ Boopons atm. I think I'll go for drip Bangboo over utility/meta Bangboo.
Luckyboo- (the rabbit one that throws coins) if you do the bangboo themed current event, it gives you x4 copies of it for free (by the end of the quest chain)
I think it's too early to give verdict on bangboos. The team composition available is still too limited relative to the number of bangboos.
Even faction bangboos like Amillion, safety and Butler don't have super good synergy as of now.
Amillion deals physical damage, but only Billy or Nekomata do physical damage. Anby and Nicole are doing other elements. Cunning Hares in need of main electric attacker or physical stunner tbh.
Butler has a non-attacking active skill and energy regeneration doesn't seem to be the concern as of now.
Safety capitalize on burning and shocked anomaly, but the bangboo itself deal physical damage.
i mean i have the butler boo and just because you can use it with any victora housekeeping team doesn't really make it good, and I don't think faction specific bangboos are ever going to be more generic and overall value to have over ones that are tied to elemental teams because even if you're doing a disorder team you can still have 2 of one element. the bangboo specific traits are also pretty important imo, like if you value the enemy grouping of certain bangboos then unless you're gonna wait for another new one to release that's just like that i don't see the point in waiting and using worse bangboos now while trying to push shiyu and stuff

I legitimately limit myself to about 50% of my boopons when chasing a 5 star, assuming I get the 4 star competitor. I got Shark Boo at 40, and Black Hole at 50 and I still have about 40 left.
I get what you are saying with the flexible Bangboo's but certain Bangboos like faction specific ones are kinda bad for accounts like mine. If I got Butler, I legitimately could not use him, and Penguinboo dropped in the same pull as Shark Boo. 😂
I should also note, that some of these Bangboos hit quite hard.
i see your "faction > element" point on s tier bangboos. however, as time goes, will we get more factions (faction bangboo less and less worth) , or more characters in each faction (faction bangboos more and more worth) ? on the other hand, we are sure there are only 5 elements. maybe a 6th one will be added, but that's still less than 7 faction (potentially more). also, i don't quite understand "meta": there is a lot of content in the game, and ice is not the best against all of it, you ideally need a team of each element to clear it.
You have this backwards the element is better for now. Unless you are a swiper you won't really be having factions built out to rapidly. Also, you don't know that boopons will always be limited. Lastly, it kinda doesn't matter if you pull for them if they are always selectable. It may suck that you'd have to wait to collect boopons but you're guaranteed to get the unit you want once you roll enough times.
Yeah A rank Bangboos exist and if you get lucky and get a bunch of dupes they are probably comparable to the S rank ones.

Got most of the A Ranks with 3+ dupes at level 30+ for switching.
If you’re doing everything in the game and are 45+, Bangboo collection/levelling should not be an issue.
I got lucky and pulled butler and sharkboo in the first two ten pulls, and am now riding the Ellen mono-ice… the challenge is that I would love devil boo for ether, but it may be easier to get to get another s-rank. Given that these are not moneymakers, I’m not sure I am confident they’re going to add new bangboos very often.

Yeah, it's worth getting specialized bamboos for teams you are well invested in. I got Ellen + Lycaon, so likely I'll be using that team for a while. Soukaku may be replaced, because she is just a bit too slow.
Stick with Devilboo imo. A lot of the content rn are focused on elites and bosses, and when it comes to the Ether team, Devilboo is stronger than Resonaboo (my opinion)

I think it must be a bug i also got Butler with another S rank bangboo within 10 pulls. I am seeing alot of people are also getting this.
In the total of 100 bangboo summons I have gotten 3 S rank bangboo so I think I am ok especially since I am still getting summons and rn I still have 27 summons I am saving now but I am vary happy with my roster of bangboos
I won't stress over bangboos, I will roll as the boopons come, currently have four S, once I get one I move to the next lol. I'm not saying people should do it but personally I don't care.
I'm focusing on getting my Safety Bangboo into 5* because I can feel the damage increase on every uncap also I like drills so I can just focus in with my 2 teams (Cunning Hares who also have Amillion and Belobog) until a year later.
I learned this late. I have a fully duped Penguinboo and it actually offers stronger Anomaly build up due to the skills getting upgraded by the dupes. It has tad longer cool down but unlike the Sharkboo, it directly hits the target. That said, i don't regret it too much because let's be real, these lil guys are cute af and i would pull for all of them if i could LMAO but yes, the A-rank elemental bangboos are enough and they can even be better than their S-rank counterpart if fully duped

Im ashamed for saying this because i always critique meta slaves, but i wouldnt go for Faction Bangboos unless they give some crazy good damage increase. For example, the Factionboo of the most meta team right now (Ellen, Victoria House) only gives energy recharge iirc and another buff if you have two Victoria House agents. In my expirience, the energy regen hasnt been so noticeable for me too use him instead of Sharkboo, or Pinguinboo.
Yeah people were hyped on Butler the first few days but I see a lot of people that got him saying he’s not that impressive/important
always look towards what you need most, the biggest difference its going to make is what anomaly you'll be applying, which one do you need more of in your own teams
I got shtty luck in bangboo banner. So far, I only got Sharkboo and Resonaboo for ellen and my guaranteed zhuyuan and both of them came home at 70+ pity. 💀 Considering this sht luck, I don't think I'm gonna pull for faction bangboos, element-specific bangboos seems to be more advantageous for me.
I'm planning to go with the element related bangboo first since I think it will be more universal. The only faction bangboo I consider getting is Butler but still elemental bangboo will be more futureproof

The faction bangboos are way too niche compared to the attribute bangboos, your endgame teams are going to revolve around attributes not your faction so this is irrelevant information as we already have the bangboo for every element.
The PD bangboo isnt as good as eitherboo
Not to mention that the faction bangboos all do physical damage and dont help build up any anomaly, they give niche buffs like energy regen or increase bangboo chain attack dmg when fighting fewer enemies and increasing bangboo chain attack for enemies that are burning or shocked.
Id rather pick the bangboo that'll help increase my anomaly buildup then have these lame passives (energy regen is decent but I dont have ellen so)
This is a "Hindsight is 20/20" situation since we still have no idea the frequency these will get released at. Sure, there's one next patch but there may not be another for a few patches.
We didn't even know there'd be one in the next patch until this morning. I think it's fine to pull for what you want. Boopons are not a limited resource in this game. Every patch will have several, along with Events and ascension rewards for all Bangboo. It's actually harder to come across standard banner pulls than Boopons
Rocket , Devil, and Penguin bangboo are probably the top 3 hard hitters

I’ve got the same mentality. I have the fire, electric, and ether bangboos already plus we got the 5* lucky bangboo from the event which does a good impression of the S physical bangboo, so I’m thinking to go for the ice bangboo and then from there I’ll have a lot of flexibility both for team building with that set of bangboos and with which bangboos to pull next.

If you want the best physical, revolverboo, but the event 5* luckyboo we just got for free does a reasonable impression. If you want to try disorder, the element of whatever your favorite 3rd slot member is.
Currently I saved 67 Boopons. I have 1 Plugboo and 1 Bagboo for my early Shock Team.
I got Reasona and Bulter, and all the A rank boos. So I’m fine now Zhu Yuan is coming out
Nah, 1.0 characters will be powercrept eventually (+ devs will introduce new faction-Bangboos: N.E.P.S., Section 6, Obols squad, Sons of Calydon + factions from New Eridu teaser like Falkenhayn), the moment units from faction are powercrept their faction-Bangboo will lose its appeal. Elemental Bangboos are 100% more future proof.
I could get faction bangboos, but when I'm not interested in the faction to begin with + needing 2 of said faction it's like... I could save but all I would be saving for is Starterboo because he does daze instead of anomaly. Especially with the current teams where several have no one in the same faction. Like the disorder Grace/Rina/Piper.
My first was Shark my second was butler (because of his elegant demeanor and the mustache), my third is rocket because I do not have the A rank fire element yet

Bangboo will stay there forever to select as rate-up, no need to save, and faction Bangboo need 2 characters at the same faction too so kinda meh if you are F2P saving
i mean, if you're saving for Miyabi, like me, you might wanna save for her Bangboo which will come out on her banner release.

I have done 40 Bangboo pulls so far, and have gotten two 5 stars already. This is not a flex, this is a cry for help. Now my luck for my actual banners will be terrible 😭

I have to strongly disagree with you about going for faction Bangboos instead of elemental ones.
There are only 5 elements: Fire, electro, physical, ether, ice. It's very unlikely that Mihoyo will add any new elements in the near future.
But there are already 7 different factions for playable characters, and it's highly likely that Mihoyo will add at least a couple more by the end of the year as they expand the in-game universe with new characters.
Going for 1x S-rank Bangboo per element is a much better starting proposition.
I have to disagree with saying boopons are hard to come by. They give them out quite often from my experience. And if you're lucky with RNG like me, you'll get them quite often. I already have three S rank Bangboos without too many pulls. Going for my 4th one already. But yes, I agree that have more dupes will make them stronger but not a necessity until endgame which I'll eventually get to with time.
Why do you pronounce them boopins and boopons? Is it a typo because i is close to o on the keyboard? Do you speak with a keyboard?
Just as I watched this I got two butler bangboos when im 50 pulls away from a guraunteed s rank, already at three stars with it
I jokingly decided to Pick Resonaboo as my S rank and got him from my first 10 pull. Do I regret? Absolutely not since eather meta is coming into the game
faction bangboos are not versatile at all, lycaon is bad plugandplay character, you cant use him in whaever team you want and you really can use him only with ellen from victoria faction, there4 you are bound to use them as duo with butler forever, while sharkboo will work with ANY ice characters, ellen will get powercreep'd in a couple of patches, but sharkboo will still work with ANY ice character released afterward, so you can just toss lycaon (or wiseversa) in and it will be still functional team
same goes to literally all other factions, you dont need koleda on grace team, once grace will get S grade electro enabler - youll not need anton on her team either, while plugboo will still work, heck he will even work on grace+rina+1 team; nicole has about zero value to CH team, neko already goes better with SoC than with CH, anby is a good plugandplay option for both nicole/zhu and neko+1 team to enable cores, but thats still doesnt mean amillion is a good option post past 1.1, its fine to get him as your first bangboo, but i would bother getting him after 1.1
that said - resonaboo provides utility, you can switch out nicole once a better ether support will get released and still have "vacuum" utility from resonaboo
Lycaon can play in may teams the most optimal right now is Ellen's but that mainly the kit of the characters, but Lycan as agent alone is incredible and will have other teams.
@@iflgames3245 no he cant, if there is no victoria faction or soukaku on it - he is just mid, he has zero plug and play value, on top of it - his gameplay sucks, i leveled him to put into zhu/him/nicole team and i regret so much

He can even play sub DPS with eas, he also is ICE defense SHREDDER!!, Stunner, and applies DAZE as a GOD!!

Is it an unpopular opinion to say Butler is overrated as a "generic" Bangboo? A-ranks are plenty good (sometimes even better because of dupes), and focusing on a Bangboo that synergizes more with your team is way more important than looking for a generic option for every team. It feels to me like people just want to justify their pulling addiction by convincing themselves and telling others to pull for a "generic" S-rank. Boupons aren't going anywhere, so why spend them immediately? If you have time to get decision paralysis on which Bangboo S-rank to pick, then you should have time to focus on your agents and learn what kind of Bangboo will work best for your team.

imo the element ones are more versatile. I went all in and I have 5 star Sharkboo

I mean in a game where any % number matters, 5% more energy regen could be big. Also, for players that don’t have a lot of team comps, getting more variety of the S boos won’t matter as of now since there’s not a lot of team comps. Especially for f2p.

While I was going for the Shark Bangboo I ended up with a Max Rank Pinguinboo so I just stopped pulling and sitting on almost guaranteed now at the banner waiting for the next Bangboo that could be amazing. First S Rank had to be Amillion because no matter what my Team 2 will always be the Cunning Hares! Love those goofballs! I just figured hey you should eventually get all elemental Bangboos to Max Rank eventually so might as well get the unique faction S ranks instead if you have the members.
If you can’t buy these pulls now, I guarantee you will be able to soon

I got 2 S-Rank Bangboo and have 70 Boopons for a guarantee S-Rank Bangboo (probably going to get PUBSEC). The Ether Bangboo is simply too good to ignore and I got Saftey because I like the Belabog Industry characters.
I truly believe the Faction Bangboos are the only ones you should pull for.
The Elemental ones has A rank counterparts than can be more easily enhanced with each dupe of them, a maxed out Elemental A rank Bangboo would probably have more stats than a Rank S Elemental with no dupes
But u cant get dupes without using ur boopons which will eventually reach pity anw and furthermore u cant get the desired dupes since its all random
