Hey Brian.. Chris from your last Friday class. Subscribed because I need to back track all the material you went over in the class. It was informative and since I wasn't able to use the Roland during class, I knew there would be a point where it got over my head.. Allot to consume..🤔
You know your stuff! I noticed this from watching other videos on the sequencing subject after this. It felt like I even knew more than they did by watching your video. For example, "...there are 4 kits" one said. You've clearly shown us how to get to all 12 kits. Great detail and explanations, thanks man! Liked and subscribed :)
YEP.. Got a 202 for my birthday a couple days ago.. Coming from old school Turntables and tons of vinyl, to this Roland.. Once I get it.. My neighbors are going to wonder how is this 67 year old guy making the dogs bark..😛
More of a turntablist/ skratch DJ, but definitely looking for the rite controller for mixing capabilities, & for sampling, one shots, & FX, for blending.....How is this Roland 202? Or should I go with the 505? Thanks bud 👍🙏😎💯🔥🎵🎶🎧
This was very useful. I could understand how it works and now I'm enjoying my controller way more than before. Thank you sir.
I have watched this clip like 10 times, so helpful! man was i confused before!

Thanks for the tutorial E! I might be able to figure this controller out after all... ;)
Dear Unit: E! How would you synchronize the Roland DJ-202 and the Roland TR-8S?
really great to see this kind of example. Still looking forward to Stems on the DJ-808 :)
You can access stems on the 808 by replacing a pad mode. It is in system settings
Can you use stems with the 202?
@@chillsolo yes you can remap as he wrote

Can you record the drums in a DAW?
@@chillsolo yes.
I did find this video useful.
can you add your own Drum kits?
Not really, but you can load drum samples to Serato Dj sampler and sequence those with the 202
Great video.
Is it possible to use my own samples?
Yes! You can load samples to the sampler in Serato and sequence those.
