What you can do is record the sample using the sample pads on the 202 in Serato DJ. Then you can use the sample pads to create sequences in the 808 mode...
really good but not as good as the DDJ-SX2 or even the DDJ-SR, but its not really latency, but it's how many ticks are registered for every revolution... This can scratch well, but super advanced scratches may not even register.... That's how it is with all $300-$350 controllers for Serato DJ...
my 202 has some issues with the jog wheels. randomly they stop functioning as they should (usually after a few minutes of working fine). the wheel sides act like vinyl instead of very slow back/forward, if the wheel is touched it stops the music completely, play button is functioning on serato, which means the play button becomes blue when pressed play on the controller but the music doesn't play unless I click with the mouse somewhere on the specific waveform. any ideas what the problem is??
I have a question that is completely irrelevant to this video but I cant find the answer anywhere. www.channel.com.ph/Product/Images/4/TPALPRAA0004423/Editor/170021416952bcfd1c56418.jpg in this diagram how would you connect the high and mid signal to the speaker?
All you have to do is adjust the settings for the crossfader in Serato DJ. Adjust the crossfader setting to sharp
The 505 is gonna be the sweet spot for most people since the 505 actually has more outputs and works as a standalone mixer.
Review is dropping today and comparison video on Friday!
Looking forward to watching it! Thanks for the great in depth reviews you do
That's a nice price & great line up from Roland. I hosted a Roland workshop awhile back.
Managed to buy this controller just the other day☺️
Great in depth breakdown...just what I needed. Thanks ❤️
I actually was thinking about purchasing it, but no way!!! When I owns The Roland808, Good video definitely Roland is Rolling 100%...
All the Pioneer owners are in total regret right now. Haha.... best controller on the market for the price.
J. Smith I am got a ddj rb and this look like so much more fun
*Laughs in ddj - 400*
Nice video. What's your mad watch! Shouts from New Zealand.
Great intro vid. Nice watch too.
When you review the 505, can you let us know where to get a road case & also show us how the mic effects work? Thanks!
Not bad for a lil machine at this price. Quite a bit of functionality.
Hi, I have a question , can we set the master level led in the middle become perline level? Thank you
Great controller but I went with the ddj rb the value overall was better
hi would you consiter this better than the numark platinum? thanks
I like it better because it has the beat machine...
This controller Also has pitch play! With the Pitch n Time upgrade. Major Plus. No controller at this price has it!
this.....or beatmix 4.??? :-) i love beatmix 4.......but.......i would like to go a step to professionality......so.......i want to know...thanx
I have a SRT 1000 and need a smaller turntable for smaller events. Would you suggest this or another turntable?
I would definitely recommend this for that scenario.
@@kareem_the_dream would serato pro cost me even though I have it with my SRT1000?
@@jehrimechadwick3455 Nope Free!
So you will be able to use the 606 and 707 sounds on here correct ?
I'm not sure the 606 sounds will be there but the 909 and 808 is there for sure... The DJ505 and DJ808 have all 4 sounds...
Nice review, as always ! Could you tell me Rolland dj202 is fully compatible with Virtual dj8 ?
Yes, it is!
Can Rolland 202 record short sample from the song I’m playing?
Thx. I’m thinking off buying one.
What you can do is record the sample using the sample pads on the 202 in Serato DJ. Then you can use the sample pads to create sequences in the 808 mode...
How is the platter latency when it comes to cutting and scratching.... compared to something like a Pioneer DDJ-SX2?
really good but not as good as the DDJ-SX2 or even the DDJ-SR, but its not really latency, but it's how many ticks are registered for every revolution... This can scratch well, but super advanced scratches may not even register.... That's how it is with all $300-$350 controllers for Serato DJ...
Got'cha. Thanks for the reply. We appreciate all you do with your TH-cam channel and website.
clonK the 808 has super low latency you should look at some videos :)
It looks exactly like an RB.
Still pretty sick review dude :)
That is the smallest pitch slider I've ever seen
That right there is a deal breaker! Must be annoying AF to use. I see the Sync button getting abused. lol
looks about the same as on the Traktor s2 or maybe I'm just blind lol, most small controllers have small pitch faders dangit!
Numark though, somehow manage to fit decent sized faders even on their smaller controllers.
So you haven’t seen the pioneer rb pitch slider lol

Connect, disconnect, then connect. That'll do the trick.
Heyy, how to change fader settings ? Contour settings i mean
How do you use the mic effects?
Not exactly sure... This was a while ago...
iam thinking of buying that controller since a month.
great review im surprised with the Rolland 202
A lot of new gear.....Nice review
Thanks!
review the 505?
can this work with virtual dj
Yes but best with Serato DJ.
Not bad it has a lil bit of pitch length than RB
Pioneer DDJ SB2 or Roland DJ 202?
I am new to this so, want to a balanced DJ controller to learn :
The DJ-202 as it has more features!
He's sooo cute.

in this diagram how would you connect the high and mid signal to the speaker?
I plug mine up to my computer and nothing happens. No lights come on nothing
DEMO The functionality
Stay tuned... coming up after the DJ-505 review...
DJbooth Pro Audio ....Awesome! Thanks for this!!
no more laptop stuff!! review the Pioneer XDJ-RX2!!!
So what your saying is that I dont need a computer to use this.
You need a computer to DJ with this, but you can use the drum machine feature by itself without a computer...
Make an Analog 909 Roland.
Similar al ddj rb de pioneer
Wheres the xdj rx2 review?
3-4 deck ain’t that loud tho
Looks like the mixtrackpro3 but not as good as the mt platinum
Tom Matthews numark has no slip, slicer, pitch n play or good filters. Lol. Numark is garbage in comparison
Jonathan Smith numark cdn22 way better than this Roland junk
Tom Matthews it’s not even out yet. Look at the specs. It’s very obvious
Looks like bootleg pioneer controller
Mike Lawse lol it does
Mike Lawse not with that built in Roland drum machine bruh
GARBAGE
