I got one loaded like this one but with a hitch. I have done three mileage checks. 36.2mpg over 134 miles, mostly highway. 28.2mpg over 76.6 miles about 50% highway and I get around 25mpg in running errands and normal driving like the video. I drive in mountains at about 5,000 to 7500 feet mostly. I like that it can tow 3500lb and I plan to get a camper and test those capabilities. I agree pretty much with everything in this review including the need to put the turn signals in the heads up. I wish the ignition on was a simple on-off button not twisting it like a traditional key start. The Spike-Mini AI is not great but helpful. You can tell it to turn things off and on. The Nav has a very mechanical voice, kind of Scottish-British. I prefer CarPlay. I do think they need to put more storage on the middle. Having the armrest flip up would be perfect and in my mind better than those deep storage units where you never find anything at the bottom, again. They missed an opportunity there. Overall it’s an amazing vehicle at at around $45k pretty much loaded a great value for a German engineered car. You will pay as much for a RAV4.
Great review! I currently drive a 2012 Countryman, back when the model was quite new. She's still going strong, but she's almost 13 years old. I am leaning toward getting another Countryman. Playing around with the configuration, I had questions about the adaptive suspension and wheel size and you answered them. Thank-you for that.
An excellent review, Brian… My mate has just taken delivery of his new Countryman, while I have the new F66 Cooper. We both agree with your comment about the need to see the turn-signals in the HUD - and, hopefully, this will be addressed in the next OTA software update. In Europe, the Countryman is much better-value (and better-looking, IMHO) than the BMW X1 - yet they are essentially the same car, and they are built on the same production-line… at the same time! I also think that the OS9 software works better on the MIU (round OLED screen), than it does on the BMW widescreen. The MIU layout isn't perfect, but I like having the temperature control on the screen and, after 6-months of use, I've had zero problems with the technology. Keep making interesting and well-presented content. All the best.
Thank You. I have owned over 50 Audi. And VW. In the past 3 years I love the vehicle and I have the 20 inch wheels. It drives Hard. Only thing I don't like. Maybe I should of gotten the 19 inch wheels

What do you think the target demographic is for the new Countryman? I feel like that round screen is targeting the younger crowd.
Clearly they're targeting people who love screens, among other factors.
14 - 16 km/l
A button labeled “experiences”? Dear oh dear.
In the words of my teenage grandson: “Gay. Totally gay”. 😂
So anything bad is gay?
