The chords are E A F#m7 B E
Yeah, for the A section, and then the B section is some cool jazzy stuff. Time for some free music theory! (TLDR for the chords at the bottom of the post)
It transitions into the B section by implying the I chord as a functional secondary dominant (E7) through the decending melody (Tonic - subtonic - submediant (E-D-C#)) which takes us to A Major, landing on an Amaj7 chord, marking the first measure of the B section.
From there it's a wild ride. I think functionally the next chord after the new Imaj7 (Amaj7) is a IV7 chord but the voicing is weird and hard to make out with the fragmented guitar and my bad ears, so I'm just gonna call it a D7sus2. This then moves into a cool minor decending thing ,vii-bvii-vi (g#m7-gm7-f#m7), up to the VII (G#7), then to the ii (bm7) and then down to the biidim7 (abdim7 (i think, bad ears again)) and then back to the I.
The next half of the B section is our journey back to the original key - E major - from where we modulated to - A major. It starts on the Imaj7 again then to the II7 (B7) moving to the vii (g#min7) again, then to the iii7 (c#min7) which then takes us to the final cadence whice is the coolest chord choice Shota Kageyama could of made imo and I love it. In the final cadence, instead of a standard ii-V-I back to the key of E, Kageyama instead uses a ii-bII-I (vi-bVI -V in the key of A major) which is a really cool sounding substitution and leads the listener back to the A section in a really fun and interesting way.
I love this B section harmonically because it contrasts so heavily with the simplistic harmonic tone set in the A section. It keeps the listener captivated and wanting to travel back into the B section everytime after returning to the A. There are other factors that starkly contrast between the two sections and give the listener the same pull to want to be in the B section, such as, the contrast between the rhythmic unison of the rhythm section in A to their respective independence in the B section e.g. the bass line walking and the piano's counter melody. However, nothing feels more compeling to the listener than the harmonic contrast imo.

Everyone: Gen 5 is underrated!
No one: Gen 2 is underrated!
That's because gen 2 is well known as one of the greatest Pokemon games of all time. Gen 5 is hated because of its art style imo. I think it comes down to the change, like a sort of uncanny valley effect, wherein it changed slightly, so it has that air of familiarity, but it changed enough that people don't like it.
I love the Unova sprites tho, don't @ me. In fact, I believe generation 5 to be the best Pokemon games ever

@@chesirerat4491 who doesn't like gen 2? It's amazing, probably one of the biggest leaps in Pokemon history in terms of mechanics and polish
@@australiananarchist480 yes but it hardly holds up compared to any other games. The designs are generally regarded as the worst of the series, it's often seen as a sequel to gen 1 (which makes sense considering that was the last pokemon game they had planned). Not only this, but how the game is mapped out (i.e. most gen 2 pokemon are found in kanto post game, and most gym leaders only use Kanto Pokemon. Sure, it introduced weather and eggs, but that still can't help it from being the worst gen.
@@chesirerat4491 weather, breeding, night and day, special split, friendship evolutions, fixing a whole bunch of bugs in the first generation, etc.
All the issues you named were equal if not more to gen 1, yet because it was first, it avoids all criticism. In my opinion, the Pokemon games went on a steady rise in quality (with a significant boost in gen 2) up to gen 5, and then began its fall (with a huge drop in gen 8)
Furret Walk ruined this song imo...
