...and his excellent use of dynamics man. He can blast with the finesse of a jazz drummer. I'm sick and tired of hearing drums that sound like they've been written on Guitar Pro. Sebastian's drumming feels alive.

He isn't, but I know what you mean. His shit is so memorable and unique, particularly his fills and kick patterns. The guy who definitely showed up in metal out of nowhere and went to the highest tier in the shortest amount of time for sure.
Sebastian is in the upper echelon of most diverse & musical drummers to EVER touch the extreme metal world. Many are just extreme metal drummers, full of NOTHING but blazing single strokes. Sebastian is just a master musician, period.

All this drummers for this music are interchangeable. Close eyes you don't know who is playing. Hell it could be Portnoy, Manginni, Virgil, all song the same beating the shit out of the drums.
How is Virgil Donati a metaldrummer? And i know for sure that it cant be portnoy, cause of the blast beats, which he cant play. Also u could use this sentence on every musical genre. It isnt the drummer, its the genre...
That's because your ears are at amateur level, your internal reference library is empty and you can't discern between their obvious styles/techniques and nuances - aside from their different drum tones :)
