I always loved the complexities of the drums in Obscura but I remember seeing the Iconic music video for the first time and my mouth was on the floor about how many levels beyond this song is. The creativity of fills and patterns in this song is INSANE! Your work is much appreciated!!!

I haven't sat behind my kit in a few years because you know....life. Watching sebastian dominate the kit is inspiring me to hop back on the kit again. Incredible talent. Every play-through is an absolute treat to watch. Cheers from Arizona!
This is just insane, Sebastian is one of those drummers that when I see them play they just make me want to practice to be at least half as good as them
@@Virvum_Juggernaut but if you looked closely, Sebastian have a very rare things, like foot to foot on double pedal, and listen to him in Jazz , he is a magician not a drummer
@@mqoutobali Foot to foot is cool but Diepold has every foot technique down i.e. swivel/heal toe doubles/calf driven and single foot blasts. Both have the identical Tama kit down to the colour and tom set up (sans cymbals). Edit : David does jazz playthroughs also dude.
@@joiem1634 We do but I just baulk at people saying someone is “the best” when there are so many elite drummers in the extreme metal scene. They each bring something unique to the table.
Holy crap there is so much going on here this is one of the most mind bending composition I've seen in a long time so many layered rudiments and compounds going on in this performance you need a drumometer too write down all of the notes being played in this song Sebastian just became one of my favorite drummers nice job!!!🤯😱

completley agree! I was blown away also by eloy casagrande and martin lopez live performances, but Sebastian is the most impressive drummer I ever seen live, and I count with about 20 years watching metal concerts live and saw other obscura line ups playing...
You have an amazing creativity, often drummers that can play blast at high BPM get stuck in speed forgetting creativity but you spice things up like it should be. Thanks for sharing this amazing drumming!
I"m glad that I watched this. Not only is this performance great, but you can hear a lot of the subtle sounds in the track that are harder to point out in the album version.
