that's something every mechanic learns here first. Sort your tools, use them like they are designed to and after every job clean them and clean your whole working area - then the next job.

Normalerweise lobe ich so so selten aber ich muss sagen ich bin echt begeistert von der gründlichen Arbeit. Alles wurde 100% gemacht. Mit Drehmomentschlüssel, einfetten und Drahtbürste... Und die Schnelligkeit war auch sehr gut! Achja und ein Pluspunkt noch für die Kamera+Ansicht!

Great job! I think this is the first time I see a brake job being done properly from beggining to the end. Cleaneing what is necessary, not using useless greasing, attention to tightening torques, etc.

I did my oil change and brakes myself thanks to WaceCeptor's videos, the only thing that would make them perfect would be to display the torque specs. Other than that, thank you !!
The best video I have seen on W204 front brake change, very nicely made and top quality workmanship too.
Takes this guy 20 minutes, would take me half a day haha. I can watch this stuff for hours, and be more confident with my abilities. Infact I have.
Thats ok. Replaced my discs and break pads to the rear a while ago. It did take me more than probably in a garage but I prefere buying the tools instead of the labour for it then doing myself as much as I can and keep the tools for future similar jobs:D Dont give up. I wish all mechanics were like him. Its hard to find good quality and tidy mechanics.
I do this all on jack stands and it takes me around 45 to do them in my car.I try not to get discouraged when I see videos like this as they have lifts and every tool imaginable

@@PhillipJ110 Genau. Warum es Mercedes soviel kostet? Es liegt vermutlich daran, dass bei Minute 8 der Kolben verkantet zurückgedrückt wird und dabei innen die Flächen zerstört werden. Daher wird es später eine erneute Reparatur geben.

high quality work which is not common in typical repair shop. with that note, how come you don't recommend/suggest brake fluid flush with each brake pad replacement? I do mine at home and add extra 5 mins on each brake to flush the old fluid out.
At 100000 miles, I just replaced all the brake pads! This time around, I am going to replace all including the rotors but I will take the rotors out for service and then put them back ! Rotors are very expensive nowadays ! 😊

Man nimmt etwas raus weil beim zurückstellen des Bremskolbens geht Bremsflüssigkeit zurück in den Behälter.
Sensationell gute saubere Arbeit! Da würde ich meinen Sternwagen auch gerne hinbringen!

Opening the bleeding valve when pressing brake cylinder to the caliper helps to remove overheated and worn brake fluid and will prevent from pushing back to the system .

Wow, this is probably the most excellent quality brake job that I've ever seen. Is this how services are performed at Mercedes dealerships? If so then the cost is much more justified if this quality and attention to detail is consistently enforced.

Congratulations! Very professional. I have a question: do you think is it dangerous to retract the caliper piston with old brake fluid? Is it safe enough to change the brake fluid before retracting it, or is it better to retract it with the bleeding valve opened so that fluid doesn't go back to the ABS unit? Thank you very much

Everything is spot on with a proper way to service brakes. However I usually open the bleeder screw to avoid dirty fluid back into the reservoir while returning the caliper piston. Especially with ABS vehicles.
Forgot to put the new bolts in with new thread lock on them? oops. I assume you took out the used ones out, and put the new ones in, off camera (because you looked right at them on the lift lol) Thanks for the video!

tparty22 das hat nichts mit Abzocken es gibt mein ich 20 Arbeitswerte dafür das sin wenn man auf 30 % Leistungslohn ist knapp über eine Stunde.
Vorallem es muss ja vernünftig sauber gemacht werden alles.
Und ein Mercedes Autohaus lebt auch nicht von Luft und Liebe so viele leute wie das rumrennen das Ganze Spezialwerkzeug was man haben MUSS um es in 10 jahren einmal zu brauchen
Du musst beachten dass dieses Video ein Zusammenschnitt vom Wechsel der Bremse (auf einer Seite!) ist. Nimmst du das mal 2 und entfernst die Doubletime bzw die Schnitte bist du da schon bei 2-3 Std.

What is the force applied on those bolts holding brake bracket - 12/16 J? It appears you use dynamometric key.
Perfect work on that brakes, the only thing that i can complain about its the times you blowed with your mouth instead of using compressed air, that times lowered your calification from 10/10 to 9,5/10 hahahah

1. no anti-seize required on the both edge of brake pad?
2. can the wheel be over torque? The wheel was already torqued with spec with impact air gun then torque again with torque wrench.

Danke. Diese Schutzausrüstung gibt es natürlich. Alle Autos die auf meinem Kanal bisher gezeigt wurden sind Privatautos von mir/meiner Eltern (außer der SLS AMG). Deswegen kommt es vor, dass ich dort auf diese Schutzmaßnahmen verzichtet habe. Die Videos sind auch fast alle in meiner Freizeit entstanden.

Hallo. Zunächst einmal ein super Video, sowas wünscht man sich wenn man sein Auto in die Werkstatt bringt! Ich hoffe du kannst mir meine Frage beantworten, wenn nicht mache ich es so wie ich es bisher immer gemacht habe :) welchen drehmoment benutzt du vorne und hinten für die bremssattel und sattelhalter? Habe hier schon einiges gelesen, aber noch nicht für hinten. Hat ja auch eigentlich nichts mit dem video zu tun ^^ Ach und zudem handelt es sich um einen w205. Ich denke aber nicht das es dazu Unterschiede gibt. Vielen Dank vorab!
Hi. Doch da gibt es unterschiede.
Beim 204er: Bremssattel VA 29 Nm bei M8x70 oder 34 Nm bei M8x28, Sattelhalter VA 115 Nm. Fürungsbolzen Bremssattel HA 25 Nm, Sattelhalter HA 115 Nm.
Beim 205er: Bremssattel VA 35 Nm, Sattelhalter VA 120 Nm bei M12 oder 80 Nm + 45° bei M14. Bremssattel HA 25 Nm, Bremshalter HA 60 Nm + 45°.
Die Angaben beziehen sich auf die 1 Kolben Bremsanlage.

Warum wurde auf den Gleitflächen der Bremsbeläge und Führungsbleche (oder wie die 2 klammern auch heißen) keine Schmierung wie Bremsen Reparaturpaste / Keramikpaste / Hochleistungsfett benutzt?
Weil Mercedes es nicht vorschreibt bzw. es sogar verbietet. Nicht jede Bremsanlage wird eingefettet.

@ 9:05 hast Du vielleicht die MB Nummer oder Bezeichnung für das "Fett", ach so das darf ja nicht so heißen weil es in der Nähe der Bremsen ist, also Schmierstoff der Führungsbolzen?
Edit: Hab grad alle Kommentare gelesen, vielleicht kennst ja mittlerweile die Brembo Bezeichnung dafür ;)

Why you didn't lubricate the hardware and the pads ?
Are Mercedes-Benz OE Brake pads ATE or TRW? I ordered pads online for E-Klasse and got TRW in MB label box, but pads only labeled TRW.
Not a single snap on tool in sight and yet better work than anyone in North America id say (im from Canada). Its about the technician, not the tools although they look extremely high quality still.

I have question: I heard Mercedes design their OEM pads to wear uneven so pads & rotors have to be replaced together, is that true? Car is C350 and has 50,000km, can I just replace pads or must do entire brake replacement?
Thank you :) Normaly the rotors have twice the durability of the brake pads. To play safe you can measure the thinkness of the rotors. The wear measurement have to be engraved on the rotor itself.

Wir machen das immer mit der Flex und Drahtbürstenaufsatz, geht viel schneller und ist im Endeffekt besser sauber :)

Und nach 100-200 km fangen die Bremsen an zu Quietschen weil die Beläge an den Aufnahmen nicht gefettet wurden.
Zudem wurde die Radnabe und der Bremsträger zwar entrostet, bis auf das blanke Metall es wurde allerdings keinerlei Rostschutzmittel wie z.B Grundierung aufgetragen.
Eine schöne und Ordentliche Werkstatt.
NIcht bei jeder Bremsanlage wird Fett oder eine Paste benutzt. In diesem Fall schreibt Mercedes-Benz vor die Bremse nicht zu fetten und deswegen baue ich die Bremsanlage "trocken" zusammen.
Bisher hat die Bremse auch nicht gequietscht.
Wird bei dem W204 an der Hinterachse die Bremse auch trocken zusammengebaut?

Danke. Mit neuen Bremsen einfach in den ersten paar hundert Kilometern möglichst versuchen sanft zu bremsen. Damit können sich die Oberflächen von Scheibe und Bremsbelag optimal einschleifen.

Ich frage, weil von MB beim Belagtausch VA der Sensor mal auf dem äußeren Belag gesteckt wurde.
Macht in meinen Augen keinen Sinn. Bei den HA Belägen mit den Haltefedern für den Kolben ist die Bohrung ja nur auf dem Inneren.
Hast auch noch einen Tipp für die B-Klasse HA (245.233 B200 04/2011), außer regelmäßig freibremsen?
Die Bremsscheiben haben ein massives Rostproblem und lustigerweise ist nur auf der VA ein Sensor verbaut.
