that's something every mechanic learns here first. Sort your tools, use them like they are designed to and after every job clean them and clean your whole working area - then the next job.

Great job! I think this is the first time I see a brake job being done properly from beggining to the end. Cleaneing what is necessary, not using useless greasing, attention to tightening torques, etc.
This is in fact a simple job, the importance is in the details. Again, great job.
This car was enginnered to deserve this kind of professionalism.

Is it safe enough to change the brake fluid before retracting it, or is it better to retract it with the bleeding valve opened so that fluid doesn't go back to the ABS unit? Thank you very much

@@PhillipJ110 Genau. Warum es Mercedes soviel kostet? Es liegt vermutlich daran, dass bei Minute 8 der Kolben verkantet zurückgedrückt wird und dabei innen die Flächen zerstört werden. Daher wird es später eine erneute Reparatur geben.

Opening the bleeding valve when pressing brake cylinder to the caliper helps to remove overheated and worn brake fluid and will prevent from pushing back to the system .

nice job. But I have few questions hope guys can answer
    1. no anti-seize required on the both edge of brake pad?
    2. can the wheel be over torque? The wheel was already torqued with spec with impact air gun then torque again with torque wrench.

I have question: I heard Mercedes design their OEM pads to wear uneven so pads & rotors have to be replaced together, is that true? Car is C350 and has 50,000km, can I just replace pads or must do entire brake replacement?

shivraj67 At every training center I’ve ever been to, I’ve always been told to put a very thin layer of silicone brake grease regardless of whether or not it has those extra anti-rattle covers on the pads, just as a precaution. I put it under the clips on the caliper bracket (where applicable, cause cars like my Mazda don’t have them) to prevent corrosion of the metal, and on top of them to take up the room between the clips and the pads, and then I personally don’t put it directly on the pad like a lot of people do, but I put it on the fingers of the caliper, and put a thin layer around the piston. That way all of the contact points are lubricated. And again it’s just a very thin layer, you don’t want to over grease it.
BG and other brands similar also make a liquid product called Stop Squeal that you apply to the pad lining and allow it to soak for just a few minutes, and it’s supposed to somehow prevent the pads from squealing, I don’t know the particular science behind it though
Is it the worst thing in the world if you don’t? Probably not
But as a professional, I would rather take the extra few minutes to apply the grease and prevent the client from having to come back wondering if I did shoddy work, and I’ll always recommend people do the same when working on their own cars

Wenn die Bremsbelagverschleißanzeige im Kombiinstrument noch nicht leuchtet, also der Sensor noch nicht von der Bremsscheibe angeschliffen wurde, kann der Sensor wiederverwendet werden.
