We missed out on showing you the KING of Sri Lankan Streetfood 😢 but fear not it will be showcased in all of its glory in our nightlife video and it truly has earned its spot in the average night out routine 😄😄 Can you guess what this streetfood is?😮
the German restaurant in Columbo? (sorry I never actually knew what the name was, when you're 12 in Columbo - it's just the "german" restaurant, or the "japanese" restaurant, or the "restaurant in the ramada"! I was there in the 80's and my very last time much have been 1991! I've heard from friends it's still there!
I have discovered this channel recently. I'm learning english from you guys. You are not just pretending that you can. You speak the real language, english. I wanna speak like you one day.
Stayed in Colombo for 3 years and loved the cuisine. Right from the string hoppers & hoppers at Upali's, to the all sort of curries (incl jack fruits), the Pol rotis or the Paan (Bread) items. The baked products are also damn good. With a cosmopolitan environment in Colombo, the pizzas & pastas (Roccos), South Indian cuisine at Shanmugas, the momos & baos at Momos by Ruvi's, lebanese at Hummus Bar (now closed) & mexican (must try out the cake - tres leches) by Alma Flores (residing in colombo) are food memories that I will carry to my grave. It's a beautiful place with beautiful people and a gastronomical adventure park!
The background sounds and fast pace transitions from one snack to another in the beginning of the video, perfectly captures the chaos of colombo. felt like we are back home, rushing to work while trying to grab some breakfast. A mouthwatering perfection of a video.
I'm quite amazed to see your first episode of Colombo's Street Food reviewing videos and I wish you a great success in covering from Kola Kantha to Aluthkade foods, and hereafter covering nooks and cooks of every street food in Colombo. I'm a regular watcher of Josh's aviation reviews and happy to see him with you guys.😊. Thank you for the untiring efforts to bring the food culture of Colombo city life in the limelight. 🎉
Oh I loved this! I’ve been to Colombo a couple of times and I loved it! I stayed in a different hotel, one on marine parade so great to know about galle face hotel. The people in Sri Lanka were kind and generous to me and I loooved the food, though was quite spicey for me😚
Your videos are amazing. My family and I used to live in Colombo and I’ve always wanted to visit. I hope I can finally do that after 24 years, and this is giving me so much inspiration!
Oh how I wish this video had come earlier, i just came back from Sri Lanka and having tasted only a few of what's listed here 😅 ..for sure I'm going everywhere you have mentioned thank you
Brilliant video and thank you guys for bringing back those beautiful memories of Sri Lanka even though I am thousands of miles away in Sydney, Australia. The vibrant Pettah and Aluth kade shots just made me realise how much i miss my motherland. Hats off to you guys for this wonderful documentary and would like to wish you for more and more success in the future.
