- I finally did a test of the sand drawing robot, it worked beautifully. First time. At last ya'll had an opportunity of seeing what this project was all about and I hope you like it.

you can do a test, print number pi (3,14....) until battery dies, it will be 1km long text :]

Advertising... The little beach cafes and such could use them to write their daily specials. Local clubs could advertise events.

OU812 use YOUR head, if they fly over the island they could pick the stranded person up instead of dropping a sand printer.

i didn't expect this. at first i thought "the guy needs to start using 'MAKE SOMETHING USEFUL' his mantra, but after giving this time to sink in i agree, he's got it right already. kudos for r e a l l y thinking outside the box - and for allowing us to take the trip with you.

I just watched that globe video. I thought it was just going to light up pre-made globe features, it blew my mind that he was using LED's to precisely glow each country as it spun.

When the beach path first came in sight I yelped out loud. We were in Dinostia last August for just a few days and somehow of all the beaches in the world I instantly recognized it. And we were hardly at the beach. It’s so beautiful it’s imprinted on my mind permanently.

Kaixo! I was in San Sebastian in September 2018 and saw a man writing a protest on the beach every day using a stick. This machine would help him a lot :D
He has been doing it for years, I think his protest is also his relief, but yes, this would help him a lot.

A beach printer?! BRILLIANT!! You could make it a finished product by giving it a crab body. It is already red so you could name it the Christmas Island Crab Beach Printer!
Pretty cool. I guess you could retro fit a spray can on that and print "anywhere" (anywhere without sand/snow). Nice job as always. What a tankless job. Cute little dance at the very end.

Next step: add a "greyscale" by controlling the depth of each "pixel".
You could also mount kind of a broom at the front for leveling more bumpy dry sand.

Do you use painters tape for the base of your printer for easy removal? if so, what do you use, because everything I'm finding leaves residue and is just bad for my bed.

WOW this is so cool Ivan! Thank you so much for the fun videos and the inspiration to keep building things and having so much fun in the process. This linear motion system actually gave me the inspiration to integrate it into my own large scale 3D Printer design with a full linear gantry system. Thanks again for all the inspiration. This one has a "wow" factor. I could see a commercial application for renting these out. Especially if you add a rake and a leveling function to smooth out rough sand before going back to carve the message. Nice.
