Math is a puzzle, but you can't complete it without being given the pieces. If you are trying to find it of the physical object, that is a bit more difficult. If it is simply rotated, you could probably make a pretty solid guess on the shape's original state and work from there by solving as you would that shape.
This reminds me of when my nursery teacher yelled at us because we said “Sofia”, not “Sphere”. It wasn’t intentional, but she might not understand that being a teacher means you actually have to teach students.
You tried the original four sides and it obviously worked, you tried three sides and it didn't completely work because it was odd, you tried using six sides and it worked and was really tippy. Could you try eight sides? Ten sides? How about twelve? Maybe even fourteen?

Hi, Dewin, sorry for bothering you, but I have a problem with my JGAurora A5: I have leveled the bed like crazy and stil I have to print PLA on 75°C heat on bed. Bed is clean, leveled and it worked on 60°C for first cca 15 prints I've done with this printer. And even if retraction is on 10mm, my models are super stringy. I can't lower my extruder temp any further than 210°C, because then comes under extrusion. I'll try combing and coasting, but still I need help. It's my first printer I've ever had, so maybe there is some simple problem fix. Thank you.

no, my point was practically any engineering marvel is based more on geometry than anything else. door hinges could be made from wood or any other material but are metals for their strength. i can make valves with metal or plastic. a valves design is geometry in motion and so is much of mechanical engineering and physics.

No, it's a geometrically shaped form that's basically meant to roll continuously (without it being a smooth sphere). If you'd take a look at how it moves and that it has a winding flow then you'd see how it does that. The sheen on the surface enhances the visual perception of the movement even further. Although, the other pieces are not shaped in a way that encourages movement, but they are unique and interesting to look at too.
I honestly think this would be great for children/babies and might be able to help develop their minds in ways never before seen. The shapes and their movements might encourage more thought and inspire greater imagination and creativity.
Found an ad for a puzzle toy that is basically a sphericon form of Rubik's cube and went back to this video to know what the shape is called. The toy is something Torshn Puzzle btw, but I like to call it Torshn's sphericon

they'd make for some pretty fuckin strong ball bearings i would think, just have a matching race, its kinda like a normal factory transmission and a racing transmission(factory has twisted gears and racing has straight cut gears, factory makes less noise but also less surface contact on the gears so less power there, and racing has full surface contact, but its louder) maybe they could be a new age of special bearings idk. probably single use or something very rare.
Hey, I'm printing PETG with PLA supports on a Digi-tech x pro (dual, seperate extruders). It's working really well. I made the supports strong and added a nice ceiling on them. It works kinda like a 3D raft / cast and cradles the PETG. Then the parts just peel out of the supports. Try it out. I think you'll like the technique. Really good prints with cheap materials which don't smell bad too!

Honestly when you talked about another youtuber who's worked with ball bearings in these sorts of shapes I thought of Oskar van Deventer's Labacus puzzles first. Not quite sphericons, but he's made puzzles out of lots of weirder shapes in the same vein.
