- Reflecting on the challenges faced, mobilizing women's collectives on issues with foreign policy or national security dimensions proves difficult. There is a need to challenge and redefine gender norms to enable women's meaningful participation at all levels, including in geopolitical policy spaces. It is because women are so reified in gendered roles that they are not seen as capable of sitting on the geopolitical table and because they don't know the language.
