A shotgun is the best all around firearm you can have. It can be accurate a lot further than people think and it's awesome for close quarter work. The different shells make it a jack of all trades and you can load your shells with just about anything your imagination can come up with. They are very easy to reload as well for the SHTF scenarios we hear so much about.
I've advocated for shotgun for trucks for years. Mossberg 930, mossberg 590, Remington 870s.. if you learn how to run a shotgun it's a very valuable tool for sure. And your not limited as much as you think you would be
It's a powerful boomstick and heavy plated shot does well on automotive materials. Still shouldn't be a first choice in a long gun to keep in a vehicle. Think about worst case scenarios. The Mohammads can pull a San Bernardino at any moment, Lil' Slim and his carload of Lil' Gs can "pop off" at any time, firing wildly like a Liberian rebel, usually preferring Draco AKs "got that choppa" None of these scenarios is anyone with a mag fed semi auto rifle going to say "darn! If only I had a shotgun!"
I bought those and a Mossy 940 tac - of the three I'd probably keep the 1301 if I had to choose one. Interesting evolution in combat shotguns - I have rds on all 3 - Mossberg does that the best - recessed into the receiver, I have the M4 as well but the damn thing feels like a boat anchor compare to the other 3
I've never been a supporter of the truck gun concept for most people, but I have always thought a shotgun made the most sense in that role. And as a guy who LOVES shotguns, I can say with some confidence that the 1301 is about the best general-purpose shotgun a guy could ask for.
590 12ga Shockwave with a Streamlight forend - compact, powerful, good capacity - excellent with the rubber bumper to allow use of the Aguilla shorty rounds - load it up with slugs and you hold a lot of fire power
I have the same home protection setup of 12 gauge Shockwave and Streamlight 1000 lumen built-in forend and you're right, it's the best. Add the side saddle and you're really good to go. I have the original Shockwave so I have the adapter bumper for shorty rounds as well but Mossberg makes the 590S models for full size shotguns and for the Shockwave firearm that allows you to shoot the shorty rounds without the adapter. I've been thinking of buying one and probably will. The best part is that you can load 1.75, 2.75 and 3 inch shells all at once and not worry about an adapter, they will all cycle.
@@notsosilentmajority1 Im using the tear away 7rd hook and loop cards from Esstac other than that we have the same setup, mines a truck gun though, I use a Beretta A300 tac with a surefire for HD, I also bought a 20ga shockwave for the wife/kids

There are time, most times, that I like to have something more than a handgun. While anything can happen, you never know and/or just in case, anything that I can reasonably imagine with my real world threat assessment, the fighting shotgun will serve me well. There are times when an AR or AK might be better but at the threat distance increases, the better chance for me to leave the area and dial 911 and let the Po-Lice come out and handle the matter. They get paid to do it and I have already paid for the house call or their roadside assistance. When the bell rings for real, fight with what you have and make it work! Back before recorded time, it was sometimes said it will do if you will do. I am a major fan of the fighting shotgun and always appreciate any like content.
Thank you for putting this up. I’ve been professing the shotgun for a truck gun/get home survival gun for twenty years. It will defend you, feed you, big game, small game, people, etc. I have a local travel AR for a truck gun, but for traveling outside one day of foot travel away from home it’s a 1301. One chest rig of shells with 7.5s, 4s, 2s, 00s, & slugs. I can kill and eat anything in North America with that load out.
After a lot of research for my first shot gun, I decided on the A300. Pick it up next week. I’m so excited to get it. All these YT videos just convince me I made the right choice.
Nice Beretta but expensive for people living in Bidenland. HOW about a THREE HUNDRED dollar AK semi auto, with five shot mag but also accepts ten and fifteen shot mags. Palmetto State Armory has the m12AK.
Maybe I'm wrong but always thought truck guns were more beater guns, they worked but nothing too special. If I left this $1900.00 (MSRP) shot gun in my truck, I'd just worry about it. Awesome shotgun for sure and just updated to the mod 2 version. The A300 patrol is pretty sweet too, but inside my house where they are safe!
Agree. Mossberg 930 SPX ($800) works very well for me. #4 Buck for home defense. Ideal balance between wound cavity and over penetration. Slug and 00 Buck for the truck. *Don't try to load 'cut-shells' in the tube.
@@judasblewit It's when you cut the shell right around the bottom of the brass until there is just a thin strip holding the shell together, so when you fire it the whole hunk of shotgun shell fires out, keeping all the shot inside it. It's a poor man's slug.
Also you can make 7/8 slugs from the bird shot with a proper mold, in a bird shot shell, and put the slug back into the birdshot shell and you have mini slugs with lower recoil but accurate affordable and they are actually powerful they punch deep.
I always keep 3 different guns in my truck while I'm out. Panzer Arms AR 12 as my shotgun, always loaded with 00 and no 4 buckshot, either my PSA AR-15 or AR-10 depending on what I feel on taking with me, and either my Taurus G3 or PSA Dagger. Last Sunday I saw a pack of hogs at 400 yards near an alfalfa field, so I drove closer at about 200 yards and I had the AR-15 with me. I managed to get two 100lbs-ish hogs, and i think I wounded one. Truck guns depend on where you live in my opinion. Shotgun for the sticks, Ak/AR for suburban/urban environment and long range full power cartridge if you live somewhere where you can't see your neighbors.
Here’s what I do. It’s my version of the “New York Reload”. In addition to my handgun on my person, I have an 870 clone (bead sighted) loaded with buckshot and my beretta patrol shotgun (ghost rings) loaded with slugs. Both have side saddles on them and there are about ten esstac shotgun cards filled with buck or slugs within easy reach on a combat belt with a drop pouch. Also a couple of box of birdshot for hunting season. Having different styles of shotguns allow me to know immediately how they’re loaded. There’s never a round in the chamber of the stores shotguns btw as most are not drop safe. Makes me think they probably wouldn’t be safe in an automobile accident either.

FINALLY! Some reality for shotguns. For home defense it's the best. Everyone loves the AR or their pistols but I'll take a shotgun as my first weapon then my fall back will be handgun and for more distance AR
I think most are talking about over penetration, not the amount of holes in the wall. And buckshot will go through 2 sheets and most doors. Cool video though
Nothing wrong with having an A300 as a truck gun or home defense. But if you're like me I do prefer that AR pistol more. Cheaper than 1k and I don't worry about refilling ammo with 4 mags.

Manic, psycho, disturbing...practically unhinged. Everything I love in a shotgun video. 😄
Shotguns will be a must with drones on the battlefield now.
Definitely my next shotgun buy, probably my next gun buy
I like machine pistols myself. Light and maneuverable. I carry a cz scorpion 3 mini +.
FINALLY! Some reality for shotguns. For home defense it's the best. Everyone loves the AR or their pistols but I'll take a shotgun as my first weapon then my fall back will be handgun and for more distance AR
what shotgun is this? edit:beretta a300 ultima patrol such a cool video love it!!!
I think most are talking about over penetration, not the amount of holes in the wall. And buckshot will go through 2 sheets and most doors. Cool video though
Buy this gun to steal the truck of your choice!
Nothing wrong with having an A300 as a truck gun or home defense. But if you're like me I do prefer that AR pistol more. Cheaper than 1k and I don't worry about refilling ammo with 4 mags.
First time watching your channel and I’m enjoying the comedy throughout the video 😂
Don't overthink it folks. Use what you've trained with.
I allways called that stagger load.Don't forget Sabots and rifled slugs.Semiauto don't load10 rounds like like my Mossy 500 defender.Im a very accurate hip shooter. They are a crowd manager. One round 12 gauge double ott buckshot is equivalent to 9 to 12 9 mm rounds per shot. Great for home invader groups.Riot guns rule. No survivors
😮😅😅😅😅😅😅😅 Dandahermit
I haven’t subscribed because you told me to use a shotgun as a truck gun.
I have subscribed because you convinced me i should use a shotgun as a truck gun.
Thanks bro 😎
Just found this Channel. Pretty legit. Keep it coming
Air pods for ear pro is the least crazy thing about this guy, lmao.
Fuckin killing it man!!!!
Thanks brother appreciate you
Federal Flight-Control buckshot holds tighter patterns at longer distances.
Personally I'd go for a Kalashnikov USA KS-12 (a better/ updated Saiga) if i'm gonna go for a shotty, but the 1301, moss 500, rem 870, and benelli M4 are all solid. That intro was great lol!!!!
Just purchased a Mossberg Shockwave and getting some accessories on it eight now ! Great video you got !
Great intro!!
Hardest intro!! Automatically subscribed
I just got an A300 patrol. Good gun
Best gun video I’ve seen in a while! Props bud
Thanks bro
Mine came in last week, but ice storms and school closures have gotten in the way. The day I got an email about the Mod2 in FDE I was at the gun store foaming at the mouth. Federal rifled 1pm slugs do the deal bro, through the car. 1600 ft lbs of “get the fuck off me” on tap, rapid fire. What’s not to love. 00 bucks cool, #4 bucks is cool, but slugs are the must haves. Master key master class.
I’m waiting on the MOD two to come in right now. Soon as it hits I’m getting it.
@@TheLastAmericanOutlaw Alledgedly my dealer is a trident level dealer and has mine in already. Hopefully it’s not a mistake and it’s actually the Mod2, otherwise I’m going to be pissed.
@@TheLastAmericanOutlaw Confirmed. Picked mine up today. FDE, Mesa Tactical pistol grip stock, Mod2; $1750.
I WANT THAT EXACT SETUP!
This guys having too much fun with that 1301..)). Hey..that rhymes..))
Deafness speed run
I dig my Exodus Knife and Tool Adventure Craft, but that high viz Jackalope is sexy.
It’s actually a pretty cool little knife
