As a 21 year old male, I am also not ashamed to say that I love Desperate Housewives! And I am also not ashamed to say that I actually cried on some of the episodes.
My dad was in his 50s at the time with a crush on Teri hatcher for the longest time. He watched this show just for her when it first Aired and found it to be hilarious!!! I never had time to watch it bc I was deployed and when I came home, reruns were on lifetime. I caught an episode from early into season 3 and even though I knew nothing much about it other than what my dad said, I still found it hilarious! Later I went online and found the rest of the episodes to watch from the premiere and binge watched up unti I got caught up to watch in real time on ABC.
Bree tried her best to make a good person out of him but he kept dicking around and being the ultimate asshole, she did the right thing, every person has a breaking point
lol, i don't think Bree could do anything about her son behavior, also he was like a little psycho? Or something. It was his personality i guess, or it's true wath you're saying then Julie should had been worse, Susan wasn't the best mother neighter.
I know. Even though I watched that scene when I was a teenager, now I am grown up and the memories of that scene, the color tone of the setting, and hell, bree's crying are still fresh in my mind.
Miss mcklusky is a legend throughout the show. They gave her the perfect ending, but I do wish she could’ve moved somewhere nice with Roy in the end instead of dying leaving him on his own
lovemusicmusa I believe at the very beginning of the show Mary Alice says that she knows not all of them will find the happiness they deserve, so it had to happen.
Boy, that made me bawl my eyes out. I also think it was really unneccessary, although it did result in a quite touching story arc with Susan helping her son grief his dad. Apart from that, why couldn't they just let Mike live? I mean, seriously..... But I actually don't like how much of the series finale turned out. The longer it is gone, the more sad it makes me. Those woman have gone through hell together, they have been close friends for like almost 15 years, and at the end of the series, almost everyone is exactly where they where when the series started. As if all character growth has been reversed. Susan is a single mother with her child's father not in the picture (even Julie's dad is death by then), Bree is married and very conservative, Gabrielle is married with Carlos and is incredible rich and sometimes it seems they do not really love each other that much, and the worst thing is, they all don't even see each other regularily anymore. Only thing that's a bit different from the beginning is Lynette. But her situation is almost the same too, just with reversed roles between her and Tom. I think they could've given this series a much more deserving ending....
Yeah I was expecting that too.. and also the bit about that kid who murdered the girl? And the brother got blamed... forgot the family. Bree’s daughter dated him..
Emily Primer Brie was one of the most interesting characters. From the outside, she looked so perfect, but she had such a sad life. It really taught me not to assume anything about anyone.
Totally agree ! Marcia Cross' performance is awesome ! I would have put this scene in #1, it really shocked me the first time I saw it, it was so unexpected.
Edie's death is one of the worst onscreen deaths I've ever watched. I'd be infuriated if I was killed off this way after putting in years of work on the show.
The Laila Chronicles I read about the allegations some time ago. Accusations or not, an exit from the show worth remembering is something that was well deserved.
I've never understood those who prefer Sex and the City over this masterpiece! True drama, awesome acting, great humour and a wise tale in each episode! Both my dad and my stepfather love DH as well, especially Edie, she's my favourite as well.
I hated it too. But when you think about it we hate it because that's how it really goes in life. Friends part ways and grow apart, others die in an unjust way... So I'm actually glad they had that finale and not another.
Rex dying at the end of Season 1 should be in the list. I remember being incredibly shocked when it happened. Ida sacrificing herself for Lynette's children made me cry. The episode with Carolyn Bigsby becoming the shooter in the superstore is one of the most tense TV episodes I've ever seen.
But what were you expecting? That she really came there to talk about Renee? After seeing the scene when she listened to Gaby and Carlos talking? Really? It was a beautiful moment, but not shocking.
Another honourable mention should've been season 2 when we find out that Caleb Applewhite hadn't actually killed Melanie, but it was his brother. And when Orson Hodge's mother tried to kill Bree. Desperate Housewives is legendary, there'll never be another show like it! Everything just worked, the cast, the storylines and the setting.
The scene when Katherine reveals the truth about her secret should have been in this top. Definitely one of the most shocking moments of the series, and the best mystery reveal in the series by far! Still find shocking; her entire S4 plot was truly awesome and the S4 finale was amazing!
Mike’s death so tragic and painful! The funeral was full of honor and so emotional, and Vanessa Williams singing it was such a tearful moment. He deserved to lived, of all the desperate husbands he was the best
Bree was always my favorite. Starting off as a homophobic Stepford Christian NRA robot to the finale Bree is the epitome of character development and redemption. Her line to Andrew, “Honey you’re here, you’re queer and I’m used to it” was one of my favorite mommy ally moments.
What about Mike being Zach's father? Marc Cherry has stated numerous times that he threw that fact in at the end of the pitch meeting, and it's one of the major reasons why ABC greenlit the show. Another one that really got me was when Susan discovered Andrew in the pool with Justin.
Without a question, Mike's death was the most devastating. I've seen it coming, but still couldn't stop myself from crying. A lot. He was such a heroic character. I'm surprised you didn't mention that guy Eddie strangling the women. The episodes about his mother neglecting him and Lynette taking him in were some of the most emotional.
Yeah the Eddie storyline with his alcoholic mother was very very good but absolutely the scene where Mike gets shot was emotionally devastating. I always love Teri Hatcher in the show and thought she did an incredible job of acting both the comedic parts and the dramatic parts and the scene where she's holding Mike as he dies was and still does tear me up
one of the most shocking things in this show for me was when Edie tries to hang herself on a scarf. that was so intense and this couple of months waiting. jeeez. i know, that they explained that she didn't wanted to kill herself, just to be noticed by carlos, but still.. and this monologue by mary alice: "But what of those who have no family to rely on? What happens to those poor souls who have no loved ones to help them in their hour of need? Well, most learn to walk life's road by themselves. But a sad few of us, simply stop trying". chills everywhere! #11yearsago :O
Mary Alice had some great monologues. I loved the sadness and inflection in the pilot, when the girls found the note in her letterbox. ''I'm so sorry, girls. I never wanted you to be burdened with this.'' For some reason those lines still break my heart.
One of my favorite tv shows. Anyway, I really hate what they did to Susan and Mike at the end. Why? They were like the main couple of the show. Unpopular opinion: I love Bree with Keith and Chuck the most
I hated that too. I also hated how they had Lynette & Tom go through martial turmoil. A didn’t like who Bree ended up with either. Season 8 was a mess.
tunderdiamant You're so right. Life is a big mess but sometimes you wanna see some romantic things....at least on the screen. Susan and Bree were my most favorite "housewives". I watch this show because of them but I hate what they did to them in the final season
Killing Mike was horrible. I was like no, no, no. After all things that happend to Susan. Also I think more shocking was the final scence of the pilot. When the Housewives read the note and Susan says. Mary Alice what have you done?

So glad you guys did a Desperate Housewives video! Please do another - top 10 characters, top 10 villains, top 10 funny moments, top 10 couples, so many possibilities!
Lynettes scream when she realises the tornado maybe killed her family is so hard to watch. After all these years I still think she's My fave housewife. Mikes death is too hard, gabby having her adopted baby away kills me, Edies death is tough to watch too..... Andrew deserved to be dumped like that, he was a prick!

I miss this show so much. Truly just brilliant - the concept of what goes on behind closed door and that we're all putting on a facade around others to conceal the dark secrets of our lives. Great writing, great acting and compelling stories. Miss this show so much and it's grate influence in storytelling. From the truly grisly, to simply casual - all the stories are so gripping! Such a powerful show with a badass female lead cast!
This show was soooooo good! Drama, comedy, detective, all in one. And my favorite episode is Bang, about this crazy bitch in the store. That was really shocking!
Desperate Housewives was one of the best shows in TV history. I've already watched the series twice and it's still amazing. Painfully underrated, definitely deserved more recognition that it received.
Nicollette Sheridan's exit was pretty much Constance McCashin syndrome from Knots Landing. It was something they never recovered from. Edie was an integral part of their lives at that point. It made no sense and I'm so glad Nicollette is in Dynasty now. We need these women to be back in new shows. This was an incredible ensemble. Ida's death broke my heart. That was a special moment between Edie and Karen.
The one scene where lynette talks to penny about why their father and her actually got separated and talked about the importance of penny not holding a grudge and spending time with her dad made me cry so much
I binged watch this show while recovering from a tonsillectomy back in April. Literally, one of the only things to get my mind off my pain. Gosh...it’s such a perfect summertime binge show. I’m tempted to watch it all over again..
The Van De Kamp family's storyline was seriously dark. Bree, Edie and Susan were my all time favorites.

For me was def Mike's death. I cry like a baby every time i watch that episode. Not only because we love mike so much, but because the editor made the scene look so beautiful with those flashbacks memories with susan. Omg
Mike dying was the worst decision the show made. It made absolutely no sense to leave Suzan lonely again after everything Was finally in places for her
I was so triggered when Edie died. She was a great character, and in her most devious moments she was still in my top 5 characters. Honestly it should’ve been Orson instead, he was absolutely unlikable and caused the car accident by running out into the street after attempting to rob an old lady who he later got sent to a nursing home to cover his tracks.
My mom and myself used to love watching this show every Sunday night on ABC. We wanted to know what was going to happen next. This show was awesome from start to finish.
I started watching this show when I was 13 and loved it so much that I bought the whole series on dvd. I’m 18 now and still watch it all the time. I’m probably on my 10th re-run. I’m probably the most obsessed teen with the show because I even went on the studio tour to visit the street and set.
DH 's pilot is the best ever pilot in the history of American tv series so putting mary alice's death on the very 1st spot is fair enough but according to me , season 3 episode 7 means the episode named bang deserves a bit higher spot or you can say 2nd spot and right after that eddie's death episode on the 3rd spot 💜
Let's also not forget Beths suicide once Paul found out she was Felicias daughter and kicked her out. She killed herself after she filled out the forms To be Susan's kidney donor and Paul tried everything in his power to make sure that didn't Happen
I'm currently watching this show for the first time (I'm on season 2, so I'll probably click off the video for fear of spoilers), BUT WOW THIS SHOW IS SO GOOD AND UNDERRATED, MORE PEOPLE NEED TO WATCH IT.
Omg, literally 2 hours ago I remembered Desperate Housewives and how much I loved it and I looked into where I can rewatch it. What are the odds that on the same day, a TH-cam channel I am subscribed to happens to release a video about this kinda old and extremely underrated show?? :O
I purchased the DVD box yesterday for 35 bucks. My sister, my mom, and I are sharing the costs, yay! :D We don't have Hulu in my country and one single episode is 2.99 on Amazon. :O
This was one of the best tv shows it ever air. Not even being dramatic it’s still a top for me and it never gets old to rewatch. I forgot a lot of things happen then when I rewatch I’m like “oh yeah!”
I love both shows! They don't get enough credit for comedic or dramatic scenes. Emma was my favourite character on Once, Jennifer Morrison did a great job with her. I loved Piper on Charmed, she could kick some ass.
One of the greatest shows ever made. In a way, it’s underrated. Deserves more hype than it gets.
sandra rodriguez Definitely one of the best drama/comedy shows for sure
굳
This drama is not underrated, its famous all over the world, pretty big in UK also Asia.
Not underrated at all,it won many awards and it was always considered as one big tv shows back then
It use to be the #1 show but like all things the hype dies down
As a 20 year old male who’s full time job is in construction.....I’m not ashamed to admit this tv show is one of my all time favourites

Judge me if you want, but I totally supported Bree when she dumped Andrew. He was a complete monster
Back in early seasons Andrew is a totally jerk... Bree does not deserve kid LIKE HIM...
I think I would have done the same thing.
Yes, but he was a teenager and she was responsible for him. It's ultimately her fault that she didn't raise him better.

One of my fave lynette moments in that episode.

Such a powerful show with a badass female lead cast!
Greatest dramedy of ALL TIME!!! This show changed my life.
I miss this show! 💕
I miss this show so much .
when mrs. mccluskey died i was literally crying 😭😭
I will forever love this show 💕
I cried when Mike died, I really didn’t think they’d take the show that way, it was just so sad. 😢
Best dramedy ever! There is no show that can make you laugh and cry at the same time as this one.
It made absolutely no sense to leave Suzan lonely again after everything Was finally in places for her
I’m binge watching this on now tv 👌😩
kellyann noble where
davidrey28 on now tv
Same!! I’m at the 7th season
Not netflix or something similar?
Rewatching this show and already on season 8. One of the best shows ever
This is the best TV show ever ! I miss it so much !
Edie hanging herself as a trick to win back Carlos should be Number 1!!!!
Had me shook
Mike's death should've been number 1. Still not over that one 😭
Jonna I. Gives me goosebumps every time
That cry from Bree at that table gets me everytime.
I thought the riot scene in season 7 where Susan hurts her kidney badly would be part of the top 10
I agree with you! Bang is probably my favorite DH episode ♥ I absolutely love it when Lynette confronts Carolyn.
Felicity is an amazing actress.
Mike dying killed a part of me.
Let's also not forget Beths suicide once Paul found out she was Felicias daughter and kicked her out. She killed herself after she filled out the forms To be Susan's kidney donor and Paul tried everything in his power to make sure that didn't Happen
Legit almost cried to this video. God I love Desperate Housewives
I loved this show, I would love to see one of these lists for Charmed
I think the hurricane episode was the besttttt!!!!!
Don't ask why, but Bree is my absolute favorite! I spend days watching this show in my college dorm LOL
There will never be another show like this. So good! We rewatch it all the time.
The Riot !!
Bree checks herself Into an institution
The strangler !!
Hello lol great list though
I think the most shocking moment was when Mary Alice and Paul Young cut Deidre's body in smalls pieces to put it into the trunk
This is the video I didn’t know I needed
I'm currently watching this show for the first time (I'm on season 2, so I'll probably click off the video for fear of spoilers), BUT WOW THIS SHOW IS SO GOOD AND UNDERRATED, MORE PEOPLE NEED TO WATCH IT.
Omg, literally 2 hours ago I remembered Desperate Housewives and how much I loved it and I looked into where I can rewatch it. What are the odds that on the same day, a TH-cam channel I am subscribed to happens to release a video about this kinda old and extremely underrated show?? :O
you can watch it on hulu or amazon prime
I purchased the DVD box yesterday for 35 bucks. My sister, my mom, and I are sharing the costs, yay! :D We don't have Hulu in my country and one single episode is 2.99 on Amazon. :O
I just watched the whole series for the fourth time 🤦🏿♀️🤦🏿♀️🤷🏿♀️❤️
This is my favourite series it’s so good I’m on season 7 right now
You forgot to add the riot against Paul’s halfway house, that episode was over iconic
I loved this show as a younger adult! Good plots and intrigue, and relateable characters.
Been binge watching this on lockdown. I forgot what a great show this was. Gabby character is brilliant
Edie dies, Rex dies and The whole trial with McCluskey will always be my favorite moments ... God I miss the show :(
I think it ran a season too long......
Ms Mojo is like the radio DJ who starts talking over the best part of your favorite song
And just like that I am re-watching this entire show. Thanks.
This was one of the best tv shows it ever air. Not even being dramatic it’s still a top for me and it never gets old to rewatch. I forgot a lot of things happen then when I rewatch I’m like “oh yeah!”
This made me want to rewatch it again!
Totally got to rewatch Desperate Housewives. Watching this video brings back so many memories
We want a video like this for charmed and Once upon a time please 😁
Aqeel Ameer I second Charmed
OG charmed is the best 😍
I love both shows! They don't get enough credit for comedic or dramatic scenes. Emma was my favourite character on Once, Jennifer Morrison did a great job with her. I loved Piper on Charmed, she could kick some ass.
Honestly so many shocking moments we need a longer list
