The frustrating part to me is that - she is actually a hypocrite in that scene, though I suppose she doesn't realise it yet. She has a meltdown over the idea that Rex could have believed her possible of murdering him, over the idea that Rex could have misunderstood her that much. Like as if he ought to have known better, that she would never do something like that. Except earlier in season 1, George manages to put a rift into her marriage quite successfully, and iirc actually caused the catalyst that started Rex's heart attack and all - because he manages to convince Bree that Rex has been going around telling everyone about his BDSM kink and everything. When Rex points out that he would never do something like that, Bree refuses to believe him. So Bree was guilty of the exact same thing she later finds "unforgivable" in Rex - she misjudged him and believed someone else's lies about him.
@@sneezyteaches5339 to be fair, it was information that would be extremely hard for someone to know unless Rex told someone and it would be something I could understand you'd want to lie about if you were caught telling people, however we know this wasn't the truth. I think she is being hypocritical, yes but I also think in the moment they are human and it's very easy to screw up. Yes, it's a show but they're still human characters lol.
@@sneezyteaches5339 Tbh there is a huge difference between spreading a secret and thinking someone murdered you. I don't think that Bree is a hypocrite for that
Yes. Very touching. Her emotional breakdown was because her life was spared and that ground hog that she was on a mission to kill was discovered dead she broke down apologizing for basically killing the creature which perhaps was a sacrifice in order for Linette be cancer free. That scene is very deep and my eyes actually welled up a bit.
I think it was Gabi, her father died from cancer, her step-father regularly raped her, her mother didn't believe her about it and so didn't her teacher. And than she was stuck in loveless marriage, lost her child, lost her adopted child, got her actual child switched and lost her too. Pretty fucked up. Luckily she and Carlos got to learn being better people and love each other properly
7:06 When Lynette sees the dead Oppossum and bursts into tears, it's a metaphor of the fact that she became another person when she had cancer and now that she recovered, she hated that unrecognizable person she had become..
Interesting. In my simpler theory it could be that she realizes that not everyone is able to overcome their fights and she's lucky her struggle is over and she is winner for now
Lynette makes her own problems, same with Susan (such a sleazy clutz). Gabby had the hardest life… growing up poor, being molested, then never wanting kids but forced into pregnancy by only man she’s loved, miscarries it, tried to adopt a baby and had it taken away too, tried again to get pregnant for her husband but wrong surrogate implantation and her husband cheated with surrogate … then her oldest was switched at birth and never got to know her child who she related with.. then she was taken away to Mexico, then her doll she manifested her love into was also stolen. Holy shit what great character development- every bit of it made her stronger till the point she was willing to go to jail for her husband- to suffer for someone else willingly* ❤️ one of my favourite character developments in tv (Will always love Bree!! She has a lot of qualities I wish I had :) )
The last scene was really creepy. How desperated lynette was 'cause she couldn't keep her kids in control and she considers in her sleep suicide 😖 it was really shocking, even the song is a little creepy
One of my favorite scene with Lynette was she confront Art after his sisters death knowing what she triggered and him moving off the lane and the look of terror and the facial expression she gave was the best.
This isn't event the big issue I see there. It's literally impossible for a bomb hidden in a detonator to create such a big explosion, and even if it could, the guy would have would figured out there was a difference of weight while holding it (after she hid whatever bomb she created inside).
7:06 The dead Dog at the side of the house and Lynette's cancer regression (??) Could it be that the animal took it upon himself the illness of Lynette? In our culture (central Asia), it is believed that domestic and beloved pets also understand the troubles and problems of their owners (family) and want to partake in them. It was early 1990's that my grandmother (still living Thank God) was diagnosed with cancer. We all cried, prayed and took turns caring for her. Resting, she likes to run her fingers on the household Dog's head and pelt. The pet in turn was constantly on her side. Until one night her condition worsened and was rushed to the hospital. Some days later it was found that she's getting better but very weak, so she stayed longer. Going home, we cannot find the Dog even after a lot of searching. After some days, we just found that he had died. It's not because he's left alone and starved. The animal would have gone to the neighbor and he'll be fed. It must be that. Good Dog sacrificed so we still have our grandma until today. God bless! Be happy in Pet Heaven 💝💞💓💖🐕🐩🐶🐕🐕🐶🐩
Mmfh because of a possum who got into her house (and ultimately died) as cancer got into her life (and thankfully left)... The difference is that it died, she indirectly killed it... Sort of a beautiful metaphor and a painful contrast... Life and death. Felicity is simply brilliant! Wow!
Based on the first scene Marcia could play an amazing second wife or step mother or something in one of those corny movies for kids where the mom dies or something and the father tries to bring in another woman as a mother figure for the kids and she’s secretly evil lol
It wasn't a cat, it was a possum. And Lynette saw the possum as her cancer and became completely obsessed with killing it (aka killing her cancer). But then when she learned that she was cancer free and she saw the possum dead (all alone in the cold night), she felt sorry for it and broke down. Honestly, that scene gets to me as well.
