Can we all appreciate the wonderful voice over work of Brenda Strong (Mary Alice)?
Agreed, she should definitely be a voice actor for animation, her voice was so soothing and concise.
@@trinaq ikr? Her voice is a delight and she should certainly consider voiceover animation
"yes..." ;)
Lynette...... not my favourite character by far and away. Nothing was good enough for her. 😞
gonna take this as a sign to rewatch the whole series now
It's on Hulu. I watched it not too long ago
I just finished rewatching it 😅
Me to lol
I rewatched it recently! Forgot how good it was
Sameee
Mid season shockers were the best part, as unlikely as they were. The plane, the tornado... it became a recurring thing and I loved them.
Gabby had some of the best character development in the series in my opinion. While she will always have tendencies of selfishness, she was a totally different character from the pilot to the finale. Like when Carlos wanted to confess to save Bree and gabby planted the weapon in his pocket at the courthouse security check so she could confess first to save Carlos! Like season 1 gabby would have never! She was the best character in the show!
Side note…I also still haven’t forgiven the show for killing Mike 😭
Loved Gabby, she had the best character development in my humble opinion. I too loved Mike and felt bad for Susan when he was killed.
I agree. Gabby started out a selfish and adulterous gold digger without compassion for others. She turned into a loving mother, loyal wife and a successful business woman that was quick to protect those she loves.
Yeah, Gabby had the biggest transformation throughout the show..but that happens with some people when they get older..she changed when she had kids and Carlos went blind..like when he got his sight back she was so afraid he wouldn't be attracted to her anymore and that showed her vulnerability..and when Lynette was sick, she was really vulnerable..
I think Gaby and Bree both had the best character development throughout the show! They both changed for the better! And also, Mike's death gave me nightmares for years on end. For me, that was the most gut-wrenching scene.
Gabby & Bree were the best. Mike dying was a good twist, bcs he wasn't innocent and he needs punished too, he never even felt sorry for the things he did. And Susan was so annoying, idc for her sadness.
GOD when Lilly was taken away is a moment I always remember. So gut wrenching and such an amazing performance by Eva
One of the my fav shows of all time!
The tornado! The plane crash ! The stampede! The supermarket shooting! The mystery reveals ! Katherine ! The time jump! This show had it all. Bree & Lynette were my fav
I am still pissed they killed Edie
Same, she was my favourite😭
And Mike Delfino 😢 but I heard they killed Edie because she sued the producer
I break down every time I see Gaby begging for her daughter not to be taken away and Lynnette screaming after the tornado… that’s peak acting for Eva and Felicity
That being said I will never forgive the show for killing off Mike
Lynette conversation with art was truly chilling i still remember that
The most shocking moment to me was, when Mike in a totally unfeeling, ruthless way dumped Katherine for Susan. He said in an indifferent way that he did not care about her at all, and that she meant nothing to him. Now that was not what I expected from him.
agreed. by the end of the show, it was Katherine who got away from a major red flag given the kind of people Mike had gotten himself involved with.
“I don’t care enough about you to kilł you.” I forget if he then handed her, or put down, the knîfe. I was starting middle school when I watched the show when it was still of netflix. That line by Mike made me go ‘woah’ even as a kid. I also had the BIGGEST crush on Katherine back then. A part of me always wanted to see her & Mike together. Most likely bc she looked like a real life crush I had on another girl in school at the time.
The shocking one for me was Tom and Lynette's separation. They were the couple on the lane that I rooted for the most!
Really, Lynette? I did not like her at all. She always was so manipulative in order to get her way. And it never worked, and yet she never learned. Especially when they took shelter in someone else’s home at the moment of the tornado. She immediately tried to kick out the house owners cat because her husband was allergic to cats. It wasn’t even her home, and she immediately thought she was the boss! And that is just one example of her behavior.
@@moniquevandoorn8347 But you gotta admit, they were the one couple that stayed together the longest through EVERYTHING.
@@PHSDM104No, that was Gaby and Carlos.
@@moniquevandoorn8347 No. They divorced, Gaby remarried, became a widow and then they got remarried. There was never a break in Tom and Lynette's marriage.
@@PHSDM104 You are right. I just looked on the internet. I didn’t remember this. Well, I saw it a long time ago and haven’t seen it since. Thanks for correcting me.
This was a true water cooler show. By that I mean the next day everyone at work would be standing around asking if you’ve seen it & discussing it. The final season was not nearly as good as the previous ones but it was truly a great soap opera. Some people don’t understand that it is basically supposed to be a light soap opera based on the reviews but I’ve seen it 3 times. 😍
The final season was amazing! Better than 7 by far! The whole mystery of who black mailed them, Brew turning into a total lush, the ending for everyone - love it
Mike's death gave me nightmares for years on end! That was the most heart-wrenching scene for me
Lynette's Story lines were the realest among all the wives
This whole show was just perfect. My mom watched it when I was kid and I finally got to watch it now, I’m like obsessed with it. From the acting, the characters and the plot twists ❤️
"Though Lynette and Tom have one of the most consistently stable relationships..." Did we watch the same show? Just because they never divorced doesn't mean they were the most stable, lol. Carlos and Gabby arguably had the most stable relationship after they remarried in Season 4. Lynette and Tom were at each other's throats throughout the entire show.
Marcia Cross is an acting GODDESS!!! When she played "Kimberly" on "Melrose Place," & she takes off her wig in the bathroom mirror to reveal that HUGE scar on her skull was my own most shocking TV moment EVER!!! Her portrayal as "Bree," was a joy to watch, followed closely for me by the beautiful Eva Longoria as "Gabby." I miss DH so much!!!!
YESSSSS a Desperate Housewives top 20 LOVE it!!!
You should make a top 20 saddest DH moments.
And also top 20 funniest moments
@@tiffanygray yes and best characters and best episodes
Finally a video for this great forgotten show.
Yeah, I'm so glad they did a video for desperate housewives. They need to do more videos for it. Strange how when it was still airing, it was a very popular show. Then not too long after, hardly anybody really talked about it anymore.
@@tiffanygray i know, and it really was a great show
I love this show and I am currently doing a rewatch.
9:00 god the acting is just phenomenal
LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT ❤️🔥
Thank uuuuuu
The actresses on this show were peak quality. They all got the chance to grow and shine as seasons went by, I miss shows like this. In my opinion, Gabby went trough hell as a mother. Losing her pregnancy, having her adopted child taken, her surrogate ending in disaster as well, and the worst, what happened with Grace...
What about Orson being Bree's blackmailer in the last season? I definitely did not see that coming..
I just rewatched the entire series last month. I remembered how much I loved it and still do. ❤
I never missed an episode when this was on the air and I've been talking about sitting down and watching the series again for awhile. I think this is my sign to finally sit down and start watching it.
I have never felt so sad and heartbroken by any events in movies and TV series except Mike’s dying in this series 💔
Try Greys Anatomy. That tops anything in this show.
I love rewatching this show 🥰💖💖 my sister and I bonded though this show so many times, I learned what kind of relationship I wanted for myself as I grew up. Seeing all the different types of fights and how they got resolved taught me a lot.
Although my favourite thing was when edie Brett tells Susan to learn how to be alone because Edie might like sex but she didn’t rely on them like Susan does.
Finally DH ❤ Thank you!
I remember being transfixed by the plane crash episode, and staying up way past my bedtime to see what would happen.
Do you remember the size of that plane? 😂
I saw your comment as soon as the plane crash episode was mentioned
We can’t forget about Mccluskey’s freezer husband 🥴
I am so glad to see a resurgence of this show lately, I remember watching it growing up and I was too young to really appreciate the humor and how irreverent this show was and going back and watching it I realized this show is amazing and it actually makes me laugh unlike most shows nowadays. I agree with Eva when she said the show could not be made today because it would be cancelled and it makes me sad because if they did a reboot I wouldn't want a sensitive and sanitized version of the show, I want it to be just as bad as it was then if not worse. 🤣
I miss that show, and love watching vids on it! Nothing out now like it.
Time for a rewatch...
I’m surprise the switch at birth of gabby’s kid wasn’t on the list
Right???
That was totally unbelievable, because by that time they had a second daughter that looked exactly like their first daughter who turned out not to be their daughter. Just ridiculous!
I hate this storyline so much. It's ridiculous that they just forget about Grace after she's gone.
I hate it when Carlos gets mad at gabby for spending time with grace and getting rid of her photos just to make Juanita happy but it’s their biological daughter that she wants to spend time with. That’s pretty unfair
@@amyray5712I think Carlos try to be the real parent to Juanita, while I think that Gaby was the selfish one. She spend more with a child that is not longer. Her anymore and yes, it maybe come from her.
But she it isn’t her anymore, as it is Gaby and Carlos biological daughter. It no longer their no more. Also, as far that some people is mad that Carlos sort of wanted Gaby forget Grace, he wasn’t just doing just for Juanita well-being.
I just think that nobody points out, Gaby doesn’t how much it hurts Juanita to find out. She is not their biological child, while she realized why Gaby is spending. More time with Grace.
I was truly shocked learning about katherine secret it was shocking
I thought for sure that Mike being Zach Young’s father was going to be number one. It was a great twist, and the moment that Marc Cherry credits for helping him sell the show. Susan finding Andrew in the pool with another guy was also a shocking moment.
Even though i don't watch this show, this was a nice top nonetheless. Have a happy sunday afternoon, Kirsten, take care and God bless you. Greetings from Colombia to you as well.
The plane, tornado, & neighborhood fiasco where susan gets trampled on were the most shocking imo.
Desperate Housewives became a modern classic
If I remember correctly (It was a long time since I last saw all of this show) Bree was, like, the most sinister of all the housewives. She had a REAL dark streak in her.
You are right she totally was the most sinister
Most sinister but the one that made the show. Bree didn't take anyone's crap.
Okay okay I’ll rewatch the whole series again for the 7th time!
This show is so good 😊
It always bugged me that Bree didn't just drop Andrew off at the bus station if she noticed it a mile back 😂
My mom use to watch this when I was younger & I never paid it no mind. But now, think I’m gonna walk on over to Hulu & watch desperate housewives
Time to rewatch
From about mid way all the way to the end, I was thinking, are they going to just pretend that Nichollete Sheridan wasn’t in this show?
One of the best shows ever!!!!!
Lynette was always the most interesting character and so real. U could relate to her character.
The others were always a bit over the top, even i loved them ALL.
Gaby was the funniest character, along susan and bree had most of the time the most interesting storylines.
Where are you rewatching this?!? Please I never got to finish the whole series
It’s on paramount + or prime. I just finished rewatching it a few months ago.
Disney+ !!
Hulu
Thanks I'll check both out
Yes I love Desperate Housewives for 7 wonderful seasons. EVERY DAY FOR MY AULDT LIFE
8 seasons 😂🤦
This was my show!
I loved this show no cap
I just rewatched it on Hulu a few months ago
Me too
My favorite show of all time😍😍
I use to love this show so much.
Of all the things that happened on the show Mike and Edie dying upset me the most.
Loved Desperate Housewives… still do! I watch anything Marc Cherry writes or produces!
I think the last scene from the first episode should be first. It's the moment that got you hooked up.
This show had such an impact on me as a kid. Albeit I shouldn’t have been watching it Lmfao but each episode used to stay with me the day after…
Mike's death hurts me the most. He didn't deserve such. He's a good man
I’m surprised that the moment when Kayla got found out as a liar didn’t get included. I still like the list though.
It's not? Wow.
I know!! They missed a few, should have done honorable mentions
I was going to say the same thing!
This is why they need to also start doing top 30 and top 40 lists.
Bree abandoning Andrew was necessary. He was a menace.
Couldnt agree more. Sometimes people need to be knocked down a peg.
Fine, I guess I will rewatch Desperate Housewives 🤷♀️
Edie being killed off is definitely mine.
Nicolette had THE BEST character of this show PERIODT.
just sucks that she and Marc couldn’t get it together. She damn near could’ve carried it through the lower moments.
OMG you miss the fact that Juanita is not Carlos and Gaby biological doughter
I like to pretend that one didn’t happen lol soooo random
@@andrewdawn I know
It started with the Moldavian Masacre in Dynasty ! That was the start of al Disaster endings in Soap and TV series, Thanks to the writing of the Shapiro's ! Now we can enjoy Desperate Housewives and there Disaster endings.
Normally I don't mind spoilers but this show has me on the edge of my seat and I'm at season 3 episode 1 i cant watch this
I never got to finish this 😢😢
It really was shocking.
I never understood why they took the approach that Carlos killed an unarmed man when he killed Alejandro. It was self-defense. The guy broke into their house and was getting ready to assault Gaby. I know DH is a soap opera and there has to be drama but I still thought it was a stupid plot for the final season.
Marcia Cross was my favourite housewife. She and Felicity Hoffman did the best acting on the show. Eva Longoria also evolved and was phenomenal. I just didn't care for Teri...her bits became boring to me swiftly.
Omg 😭😭😭 Mike dying 💔💔💔
I watched the show for first few years, it was quirky and interesting. I never knew Mike was killed. What happened to Orson, Bree's last hubby?
I forgot Drea De Matteo and John Barrowman was ever on this show
I was so pissed when Mike died!!
So shocking
It’s such a hard watch though
The drama is excellent
I liked this show but wen they 1st described it as a new SATC I nearly fainted, it was good but it was no SATC lol x
Susan and Mike have a new movie coming out. I think it's called "A Kiss for Christmas."
I would put Lynette learning about Art higher. That was crazy!
Most of them, Tornado, Supermarket, The baby's of Gaby, Karen and Davids revenge
This show was so scary to me when I was a kid
Yeah I love that sassy grandma
God the tornado was such a stupid episode. It was glaringly obvious that there wasn't a SINGLE SOUL in the writers room who had EVER lived in a tornado prone area, because everything leading up to the tornado happening was ridiculous.
One of the things that stood out to me was one of the wives _taping their windows_ because "There's a tornado watch; a tornado is coming!" 🤦♀️
Then when it _does_ hit, there's no sirens, no warnings, _nothing._ And nothing about the conditions beforehand make any realistic sense whatsoever.
As a weather buff who grew up in tornado alley, that episode did nothing but irritate me to no end. lol
It's a show. It doesn't have to be realistic. It's make-believe.
@@tiffanygray That's a cop-out excuse that's irrelevant and changes absolutely nothing about what I said.
Is the doctor that diagnosed Lynette the vet from better call Saul??
The tornado.
Still pissed about Mike😢
Bree and Lynette’s storyline tends to tug for me because of how dark and and more realistic they tend to be portrayed. 11, 8, 7 and 5 are my favorites with #11 and #8 being personal favorites.
I think Julie getting attacked should make top 20. I wouldn't have included the time jump
Gloria was my fave! Hot & funny. And lovable!
Orson's mom?)
@@common_marmoset eva longoria
Bree's kids are monster
Gaby y Bree fueron las que tuvieron un mejor desarrollo de personaje.
nunca vou superar a morte do Mike e a Edie 😡
I always felt bad for the teenage lad who had an alcoholic mother. What was his name again?
Andrew?
Eddie
@@rahbeeuh 😂
That’s like 5 characters, you’re going to need to be more specific. 😂 do you mean Edie & her son?
@@princessarwen9194 That's his name Eddie.
Desperate housewives plot alice stolen baby rich grandfather is from a 90 movie Don't talk to strangers
Can we take the time to please appreciate that houses actually looked like homes 20 years ago?? Not the gray minimalist things that people live in now?? The VERY expensive old oriental rugs-sooo ugly but kinda miss them
ngl, Mike's death felt like Susan's karma for her erratic behaviour. It was sad because I love Mike but Susan didn't deserve the happiness of being married to Mike a second time.
Omg
Never watched this show
