Engine noise, build quality and refinement in general is awful
Yes the engine noise is awful, but most Chevy and Ford pickups have an amazing build quality that is meant to withstand anything. Which is why the phrase goes "Truck Are Tanks That You Can Legally Drive". And the engine noise is awful because of the 4 Cylinder engine in this model. Overall, Chevy, Ford, and Dodge have completely one-upped their previous model year trucks (And SUVs since most are built on the truck frames), to a point where I would actually step away from my Mercedes, and Volvo, and possibly by a new GMC Sierra, or a Yukon Denali.

its so irritating to me when people turn the steering wheel while the vehicle isn't in motion
if you have never turned the steering wheel while the car isn't in motion, then you're not doing it right. Tight-space maneuvering is best done with the steering wheel already turned before you start moving. Like in parking spaces for instance. And if you reverse, you're supposed to already have the wheels pointing in the direction that you want to go before you start moving forward again.

I have just witnessed larger vehicles destroy new pavement doing this. I am sure it is fine on smaller vehicles i just like to mind the strain on power steering as well haha.
Nicholas Jones Most vehicles now are motor assisted no more power steering pump or anything so no damage done turning wheels while not moving.

Nice I haven't heard the 4 cylinder yet. It sounds pretty mean for only 200 horsepower.

Once you understand something, you'll like it a lot more.
If I was in the market I would just wait for the new Honda Ridgeline to come out. That car will probably be worlds better.

I like that truck! GMC and CHEVROLET are my favorite vehicles! You can't beat them! Those are country boy trucks!
I never thought I'd consider the 4 pot motor in this heavy truck, but it seems to do a decent job in regular driving. It gets out of its own way for sure. Can it do real work? The 3.6 is a proven commodity but seems high strung for this application. I guess I'd have to drive one to be sure. I look forward to the Duramax diesel in this guy...
I have heard this is a quiet vehicle, but it sounds loud as hell with headphones on.

basically a glorified car that looks like a truck.. lol
Or a lifestyle truck made for people who don't need a full-sized truck.. which is arguably 95% of people who own trucks
habs4life41 I drive a 5500 lb FX4 F150, coming from a Silverado 2500, both used for hauling a work trailer. These small trucks will do 90% of what the big ones can in a much more civilized manner. Some of us don't buy them to compensate for our shortcomings.
