Hi guys I just wanted to say that I agree with you that this ship doesn’t feel like a Carnival Ship. Me and my two sisters were on this ship in October 2023 and we didn’t like this ship at all. The food wasn’t good. Our room didn’t have any cold water and the hot water was very very HOT!! We said that we would never go on this ship again. Worst trip ever! !!
We sailed on a Halloween Journeys Cruise & we loved it! We're fairly new to cruising, but we had almost no complaints at all. (Just a faint smoke smell in our cabin, we mentioned it & then it was gone) We thought the food was really good, the entertainment was great, crew was fabulous. I get the "not a typical Carnival" vibe, but keep in mind this ship was built for the Asian market. We found outside on Deck 5 to be the place to be for quiet for sure. If Andrea is still bartending at the Frizzante, definitely stop & get drinks, she's great!
Did you ever have the warm Krispy Kreme donuts. Soooo good! We don’t have them here anymore! What does elite mean? How do u get that? Never heard of Carnival elite! Did Josh give you a chance to eat Michelle? It all looks so good! What was that lunch spot? I heard the Statue of Liberty is even prettier lit up! I’ve never seen a sign on the tables like that either. So pretty at sail away! Congrats on the win Josh! Dinner looks great! Thank you both for sharing!
Hi Anne! Elite is a very high tier gambling… have to gamble lots to get an offer like that. They give you gifts and you get special status. Josh did give me a chance to eat. 😂 We had lunch at La Strada grill it was cold so they moved the food inside. The food was excellent. We were disappointed about sail away at first but it was awesome seeing the Statue of Liberty at night. Very cold but very beautiful!

Did the cab drop you off right by 88 or just across the street on 48th and 12th??? What did it cost? We are staying at the other RIU on 8th and 46th, a little closer than your Riu hotel. oh, one more question, was your embakation a Sunday or Monday? Anyway, thanks again.
Hello! Embarkation was on Sunday. We got dropped off across from pier 88…just had to walk across the street. They dropped us off in the line of taxis. The ride to the pier only took about 10 minutes. It was $15 with a tip (I think we tipped like $4-$5). Hope that helps! Monday we will have a whole video on pier 88.
