how would he even do so. the only stone that would be capable is the reality stone. and the way it’s established in the MCU, the reality is only altered for as long as thanos is using the stone. so unless thanos stand there and uses the stone for eternity this plan would be pointless.

If you look at this question from a teacher's perspective, then the answer doesn't seem so simple. How is anyone supposed to learn how to solve their own problems if someone else keeps fixing it for them? Sometimes, you have to let one problem go in order to address a bigger problem, and sometimes a problem is just none of your business.
So, you admit your own guilt in causing the death of every homeless person that froze to death, because you have the capability to give them clothes and didn't do it. Lack of action is not automatic fault, but there are certainly instances where one can be blamed for doing nothing.

You can't prove a negative. You could prove someone DID do something, but it is impossible to 100% prove they didn't. Especially since we can't actually see into someone's heart and motivations. Did Ginny share meals with Harry? Yes. Did she give him food or drink in the series? Yes. Are Harry's feeling naturally occurring? No way to know. I don't think she did but so many people dislike the pairing because of how suddenly it was forced on us. Ginny had almost no character development, we barely saw her and Harry interact before they were a thing, and Harry's interest in her came so suddenly as to be completely out of left field. So really there was no love potion, just bad writing on JK's part.

I didn't think it seemed 'too easy' for Thanos to take the Mind Stone out of Vision's head. It was meant to show just how physically strong Thanos was as a Titan and with his deformed genetics, that he could pick apart vibranium with his bare fingers. Vibranium may be strong on Earth, but compared to a lot of substances in other locations (like Uru, the metal from Nidavellir that Thor's hammer is made out of), vibranium is probably considerably weak.
What about in the first Avengers when Thor whacks Cap's shield with his hammer? If what you are saying is true then Cap's shield should have broken apart.
CMUNK also the vibranium in Vision is probably not very strong. It's enough to create a layer of skin and the rest of him is pretty much just a mechanical organism

Simply put, I believe 2018 Thanos witnessed Ultron’s carnage and the stayed up to date on the situation on Earth from then on. He saw what Tony was going through, and perhaps sympathised with him. But since Tony threw a nuke onto his ship, Thanos sees Tony as a threat

To answer the question he asked with just a "yes" or "no" is far too simplistic. Lack of action is not automatic fault, but there are certainly instances where one can be blamed for doing nothing.

It's like the story about the kid throwing stranded starfish back into the ocean--yeah, unfortunately you can't help everyone but you can make a world of difference to some, and that's better than "oh well I can't help everyone so why bother".

You can't prove a negative. You could prove someone DID do something, but it is impossible to 100% prove they didn't. Especially since we can't actually see into someone's heart and motivations. Did Ginny share meals with Harry? Yes. Did she give him food or drink in the series? Yes. Are Harry's feeling naturally occurring? No way to know. I don't think she did but so many people dislike the pairing because of how suddenly it was forced on us. Ginny had almost no character development, we barely saw her and Harry interact before they were a thing, and Harry's interest in her came so suddenly as to be completely out of left field. So really there was no love potion, just bad writing on JK's part.
@@RivkahSong Ginny had a lot of character development, Harry's feelings were hinted at a couple of times before he became aware of them, and they interacted a lot in the DA, on the Quidditch team and at The Burrow

When Cho was out of the question it was obvious Harry would go to Ginny, though if you have only seen the movies then it's different. There were A LOT of important things left out about Ginny (and Ron).

I didn't think it seemed 'too easy' for Thanos to take the Mind Stone out of Vision's head. It was meant to show just how physically strong Thanos was as a Titan and with his deformed genetics, that he could pick apart vibranium with his bare fingers. Vibranium may be strong on Earth, but compared to a lot of substances in other locations (like Uru, the metal from Nidavellir that Thor's hammer is made out of), vibranium is probably considerably weak.
What about in the first Avengers when Thor whacks Cap's shield with his hammer? If what you are saying is true then Cap's shield should have broken apart.

As Ben said, Thanos has respect for Tony in Infinity War because he sees himself in Tony. But how does he know so much about Tony just by a couple of interactions (Battle of New York and Battle of Titan)? Simply put, I believe 2018 Thanos witnessed Ultron’s carnage and the stayed up to date on the situation on Earth from then on. He saw what Tony was going through, and perhaps sympathised with him. But since Tony threw a nuke onto his ship, Thanos sees Tony as a threat
