- Today we'll be looking at @turtlewax Ceramic 3 in 1 detailer, and comparing it against the stiff competition in the Ceramic Detailer market. Is it's larger bottle worth it over others?

I've been using the TW Ceramic Detailer since it was introduced to the market. I've found that applying it with a lightly dampened microfiber towel gives a more even distribution of product on the panals. AND... I find that it has a concentration to it so a little goes a long way. I'm convinced that most haters over apply. Additionally spraying the detailer directly onto the dampened towel is another way to evenly apply. Follow up with a quick fluffy-buffy on each section as you go works just fine.
When it comes to durability AND shine, one of my primary uses is applying to both my and wifey's wheels for regular maintenance. Nothing takes a beating more than the wheels. TW Ceramic Detailer works gr8!🤷🏻
Oh...one more thing, a 32oz. jug for $15+/- U.S..
I haven’t tested it on a whole car but the spot sections I did were average at best. Glad it works for you, it’s a decent sized bottle and I didn’t have application issues (used an applicator, and sparingly).
I've been using it as a drying aid and boy does it impress. Pair it with the Hybrid Solutions spray ceramic and boy the protection is unmatched. They really have stepped up the game. Like you've said, a little goes a long way when the car is dry. I'd only recommend heavy sprays on dirty sections.

Hey, like anything else, try it, use it, and see how it works for you. Imho, TW has created a legacy of excellent products that when used as directed and with personal experience is at the top of the game. TW knows their market which by in large is the driveway detailer who is looking for professional type results. Accessibility, affordability, and results create a simple formula with generally terrific results.

Out of the 4, I haven’t tried the Meguiars. Out of the 3 that I have tried I like Gyeon the best. I don’t need it to last forever, but after a couple of days, the Gyeon seems to get glossier. Pretty easy to apply. The Adams is a bit sticky, but seems to last for months on cars I have put it on.
The megs is pretty good in all areas, but not great in any single one. Cost/volume/performance it’s hard to beat, but I may have just found the best one yet for ceramic detailers… video coming soon!

@@mikez6683I haven’t tried it yet, seems like a nice one to use in a shop environment. Going forward I am focusing my main chemicals into high volume high concentration products so I don’t have to buy often. 3D nano pail products have been very impressive for that.
@@sheepstardetail Same here. Been trying stuff in small quantities to try and figure out what’s real and what’s hype. That topper I mentioned is $39 a gallon.

Turtle wax had to be reformulated because it use to be durable. I have a bottle still from 3 yrs ago with a very little left. II dont like it because its a pain in the butt to buff off. But its durable. Atleast my old bottle
I mean, I didn’t test real world durability with it, or a long chemical resistance test - it could hang on for a long time. But it dropped its performance in line with the other products at the very least, and you could argue the most.
@@sheepstardetail i did a chemical resistance test on it myself before applying. I always do every time I get a product. I kind of use it as a guideline so I can know about how long it may last. It was solid and it had good hydrophobics
What did you use as a chemical? Auto foam is pretty hard on non-coating type products.
@@sheepstardetail I can't quite remember. It's been so long ago but if I'm not mistaken. Had to be something like purple power 4 to 1 or purple power 10 to 1. That's pretty standard for me. I spray it with the purple power. Let it sit in dwell for about a minute. Wipe it in, rinse off and then wash off with the shampoo soap. I'll keep doing it until I see a slow down.

Would this be an ideal topper for collinite 845?
I would use something else over 845. It has pretty good hydrophobics, and it’s not ceramic based. I don’t own 845 so I haven’t tried topping it myself.

@@DeeDen8511 I honestly wouldn’t use anything from turtle wax to top a Collinite product. Look into their own detailers.

Has to be one of the worst ceramic detail sprays. Always streaks. Same with the Mr Cartoon Detail Spray by TW as well.
How likely is it that they’re the safe product with a different package? I’ve only used it on small test sections. Waiting for better weather to try out full cars on some of these new products.
@@sheepstardetail the Mr Cartoon detailer has some carnauba but I wouldnt be surprised if the ceramic base of it was the same.
Stuff doesnt wipe clean. Its a smeary, filmy mess
The turtle wax? I applied it with a microfibre applicator, and even with over application (because it’s such a small area to cover) I didn’t find it that hard. Try using a microfibre pad and work it in a bit, might perform better.
Presentation left a lot to be desired. You did not articulate very well and contradicted yourself on a few occasions. Excessive use of ahhh, uhhh, just to drag out the time on camera made this painful to watch. Lastly, did you even properly prep the panels before you applied these products?
I always prep panels before a test. I don’t show it to reduce run time. I don’t work off a script so my dialogue is not as efficient as others, something I’m working on. Trust me, I’m not trying to drag out time, but I also hate jump cuts and dialogue spliced together so I don’t do that either.
