In retrospect, it seems clear that CMC was used too much at Carolina, and with the 49ers. I live in N. Carolina and I remember when Christian had 32 touches, and he took so many big shots. He is a stud but physics is an absolute in the NFL. He is a small back. When 300 smashes into 200 the result is all about physics. I fear we have seen the last of the CMC we came to love.
He was honestly fine. They could’ve upgraded sure. But trading 3 first round picks for somebody who was significantly worse was crippling. If they drafted Sewell or parsons that year they win the Super Bowl with Jimmy

David, please stop making excuses. The Chiefs have played more games than the Niners yet they have a better record and are likely to make it to the Super Bowl. Last year, Purdy didn’t have wide-open receivers. He had Brandon Aiyuk. Aiyuk managed to catch the ball even with three defenders surrounding him. He even managed to snatch a potential interception from a defender’s grasp. He was able to get open even with tight coverage. I’m hopeful that the 2023 Aiyuk will be even better in 2025. If he is, the passing game will be unstoppable.
The game is mental, too. Sure the amount of tread on the tires may be the same as the Chiefs, but the difference between winning it all and coming up just a little short - repeatedly - shouldn't go unmentioned.

Sorenson seems like a really nice guy but in over his head and cannot make adjustments in second half at all. With 4 NFC championship appearances and 2 Superbowl appearances no one is getting fired. Buckle down and win out and generate some positive momentum for the team. And then have some fun and see where the chips fall.

They need to revamp an offensive line , get defensive line help, get a legit place kicker , dump Deebo , Juice , McKevitz, Banks , Brendal, develop Cowens and Pearsal, retain Mason , draft a TE , and build depth along the D-line
Season is over, window is closed, complete rebuild. Purdy proved he isnt elite enough to lift a team. So dont pay him till after next season. Overall, we need to look at contracts and start getting out of what we can in the near future. A 4th place schedule and a solid draft is what we need.

Since the ball was thrown forward and caught and then tossed back, it's a receiving TD.. Allen doesn't get credit for the catch but only for the yards and the receiving TD.. Just like the player who scores on a hook and ladder, he gets credited with a receiving TD but not for the catch.. Only for the yards that he got after getting the ball pitched back to him and the receiving TD.. Hope that helps lol
Why does Kyle have Pearsall playing 1st team? Kyle/Purdy don't throw to him; Kyle/Purdy don't use gimmick plays where Pearsall would run or throw; and, although Pearsall might give blocking someone all he's got, he's not as big as any TE who might be inserted in Pearsall's position for blocking purposes. Since Kyle/Purdy don't plan to throw to Ricky anyway, it doesn't matter if the TE knows Pearsall's play pattern. Kyle/Purdy can call a play and specifically tell the TE to "dogleg right." It would then be known by the TE to block anyone along that pattern. Does anyone remember Spring when John & Kyle proclaimed Ricky would help the team? Lombardi seemed to interpret that as Pearsall would be running patterns & catching balls as a parttime, 1st-team WR. However, like the Oracle of Delphi, Kyle words can be subject to interpretation. What seems obvious may not be so.
David I love your enthusiasm for this team. They have made some decisions on contracts on Aiyuk, Samuels, McCaffrey, Williams, Bosa, and Hargrove which I shake my head at. They have to be more cutthroat especially with Aiyuk, Williams, and McCaffrey. They did not have to give that money out which Lynch did.

DCs and OCs should be required to fulfill a minimum contract length like 3 years before taking headcoaching jobs.

My question is this. How was thatba TD pass and reception. When the ball was thrown back? How can throwing behind you be counted asba reception?
Since the ball was thrown forward and caught and then tossed back, it's a receiving TD.. Allen doesn't get credit for the catch but only for the yards and the receiving TD.. Just like the player who scores on a hook and ladder, he gets credited with a receiving TD but not for the catch.. Only for the yards that he got after getting the ball pitched back to him and the receiving TD.. Hope that helps lol

Why does Kyle have Pearsall playing 1st team? Kyle/Purdy don't throw to him; Kyle/Purdy don't use gimmick plays where Pearsall would run or throw; and, although Pearsall might give blocking someone all he's got, he's not as big as any TE who might be inserted in Pearsall's position for blocking purposes. Since Kyle/Purdy don't plan to throw to Ricky anyway, it doesn't matter if the TE knows Pearsall's play pattern. Kyle/Purdy can call a play and specifically tell the TE to "dogleg right." It would then be known by the TE to block anyone along that pattern. Does anyone remember Spring when John & Kyle proclaimed Ricky would help the team? Lombardi seemed to interpret that as Pearsall would be running patterns & catching balls as a parttime, 1st-team WR. However, like the Oracle of Delphi, Kyle words can be subject to interpretation. What seems obvious may not be so.

I love your enthusiasm for this team. They have made some decisions on contracts on Aiyuk, Samuels, McCaffrey, Williams, Bosa, and Hargrove which I shake my head at. They have to be more cutthroat especially with Aiyuk, Williams, and McCaffrey. They did not have to give that money out which Lynch did.

Kyle like his dad like to run semi injured franchise players like CMC/(Purdy?) or RG3 back in the day to the ground. And f'ing cut Moody already! Don't care if he was a 3rd round pick. It's a flop.
